They NEED to make a mod tool kit for Cyberpunk on this level before they leave the game behind for good! There are so many passionate modders making mods without devkit type mod tools like this so imagine how amazing mods can be with this kind of tool kit! It would give the game life for another decade!
I'm sure it's on its way. Cyberpunk does have official mod support to a degree but it's more like CDPR is giving them some support while the devkit is being worked on
My number one request for CP2077. I've made some personal mods (default loadout and some immersion extensions) with Redscript but it's so limited. WolvenKit lets you edit data but doesn't support the datatypes natively like the visual editor in RedKit.
Cyberpunk is getting just that however, last I heard we're a few years away from its release. When it comes out we'll finally be able to rebuild the mountain of cut content and make the game what it should have been. Personally looking forward to the casino being rebuilt the most.

If you still remember, even way before the release of RedKit, there are some talented modders who created quests such as 'Ciri's Sole Memento' and 'The Night to Remember', all of which use limited mod tools that were available to them at that time. Now imagine the plethora of great fan-made quests that we will get with this RedKit...

Really want to see a scabbard strap mod. Witcher 2 have geralt's scabbards connected to the shoulder belt thing he used to carry his swords, whereas witcher 3 doesnt. A small immersion touch
Honestly, If that's possible, I would like to see mods making the NPCs more believable and dynamic, the random NPCs for most part just look to populate the world, but aren't really interactive
If you're playing this game on Linux, you can copy your Mods folder from the Windows version of Witcher 3 directly into the same place in the Linux Witcher 3 directory and the game will recompile the scripts during launch, without you having you having to install them again with Nexus Mod Manager.
Imagine a fully modded open model of the temple of holy fire in Novigrad. It was my most disappointing moment in the game and I’m almost certain someone out there is chomping at the bit to crack this empty shell open at some point
CD project red is like that boyfriend that really pisses you off then goes overboard to gain your trust back. I love this company and glad I didnt completely leave them alone after the Cyberpunk 2077 fiasco.
This is so exciting we could have some Skyrim level of life brought to this game, couldn't be better timed to be honest theres not much more players can squeeze out the vanilla experience after years of playthroughs, some new mods will be huge for longevity

They just took off the last handful of devs working on Cyberpunk 2077 recently, so unfortunately I don't think that'll ever happen. I don't even understand it, 2077 is now more popular than TW3 and definitely more modded. They gave us the joke of a mod tool that was REDMod and it's probably the reason they won't bring these Witcher tools to 2077. It doesn't make any sense to me.
I think this is awesome and I couldn't complain. This is a great farewell to REDengine, if also coming to Cyberpunk at any point, will be even better. The steam workshop integration is a very good thing as well. Since the launch of load order tools coming to the workshop I hadn't noticed any games taking advantage of it.
There's a mod called Custom Player Characters that lets you do that now, even with female voice acting, but I think it only has one voice option. Can also play as any other NPC or create your own by mixing existing assets. It also adds a spell combat system if you want to play as a sorceress

this is cool and all, but as i really didn't get into TW3 i'd like to see Red Kit released for Cyberpunk. from what i understand, both The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 run on the same engine.
It's a long shot, but it would be amazing if talented modders used this in combination with something like RTX Remix to completely recreate Witcher 1 in the Witcher 3 engine, with upscaled world models and textures. I saw one already transplanted the map of Temeria and the swamps into the game as-is, so I imagine it could be improved upon from there. Playing Witcher 1 with its characters and voice lines, with Witcher 3 graphics would be a banger!
Cool modding idea: Grealt sometimes say "Gonna hang your head from my saddle" so in this mod it will actually be possible to have the "cut off head" animation (exclusively done on special monsters) but now it should work on every enemy human as well if one chooses to "loot" the head among the corps belongings hehe
Really hope we get modkits on this level for cyberpunk and starfield but I'm definitely going to try and pick this up and see if I'm smart enough to make the things I imagine
And now with ElevenLabsAI or other AI voice cloners, we can even make Geralt say whatever we want, making this... a new level of custom storytelling...

I would have liked to have that Orianna fight we never got even after Geralt threatens to hunt her down, I think Project Red still has that plot line but they never added it, I saw a video of someone(s) from the modding community make their own version but I wasn't feeling it, I think this is something Red needs to do.
The only thing I'm interested in with this is when this comes to Cyberpunk. Imagine being able to enter ALL buildings. There are tons of free spaces to create new quests and events in that game. I would really jump back to modding as I did with skyrim years ago when that happens. I'm sadly not so interested in Witcher 3.
Right now, CDPR has a perfect opportunity to grow their modding community to be the best on the scene. Bethesda has for the last few years actively attempted to screw over independent modders with constant useless updates that break every mod and blackmailing creators to join their creation club scam.
You know it would be really cool if they hold the gray wardens to the Witcher 😍😍 and their goal is to protect the griffins and tame them and make them tamed beasts and it could have a really cool storyline of how gray wardens try to escape the inquisition quest when they were being slaughtered by demons, etc., and a way to preserve their order and opened up a portal in the portal, took them to a different realm existences world, and they set up their order and tried to and see Griffin because they thought they were extinct and found out they existed in this world and they teach how to ride them could be a whole new armor set based off of wardens from dragon edge and maybe even some new enchantments etc. and weapons they could even add a new enchantment system where you can add elemental effects to your weapons, ice fire, lightning, like from dragon age, and maybe even add a few new potions or poison from dragon age and the weapons could have things related to corruption such as curses and dragons, extra damage, etc. Gerald could even meet a few mages Warriors rogues from dragon Age just your average recruits or senior officers, and they could share the lower between both their worlds paid or have access to these new mechanics like enchanting weapons, armor and potions if he helps Mark and maps or help find griffins to be saved or rescue their eggs for the gray wardens Or another thing they could do is they could fix the wolf quest with the werewolf in the woods and allow him to be cured or saved, and he isn’t a bad monster Or another cool one would be how mages and Templars try to escape the catastrophe whether it’s dragon, age inquisition or dragon age 2 and during their escape, they worked with mages to open up portals to try to escape, and somehow their portal got screwed up, and they ended up in another world, and you could have maybe a village that worships the chant of light Andraste the maker and you could have kind of the same thing with the idea I put above new weapons, new armor, Templar armor for Gerald sword that affect demon demonic or cursed enemies more and you could learn about the history of dragon age, and have this whole Nother world of people who are adapting to the New World of the Witcher and maybe their world could be one of the spears like the conjunction of spears I think that would be really cool idea some new demonic creatures from dragon age, pride, demons, rage, demons, demons, maybe have a possession of a mage and you have to work with a Templar in order to break the curse or exercise the demon from the mage to save them or do you have to fight the mage and kill them as they are completely possessed you have choices this would be really really cool

Game is virtually unplayable on PC. It literally keeps crashing within 10 minutes. All other games I play like MW3, Fallout 4 are running just fine.

Larian is doing this as well, they did it with DOS2 and they announced a full fledged Modding Tool for BG3 as Well

The voice will be easy to do. XVASYNTH already has Witcher AI generated voices.

Bethesda has for the last few years actively attempted to screw over independent modders with constant useless updates that break every mod and blackmailing creators to join their creation club scam.

You know it would be really cool if they hold the gray wardens to the Witcher 😍😍 and their goal is to protect the griffins and tame them and make them tamed beasts and it could have a really cool storyline of how gray wardens try to escape the inquisition quest when they were being slaughtered by demons, etc., and a way to preserve their order and opened up a portal in the portal, took them to a different realm existences world, and they set up their order and tried to and see Griffin because they thought they were extinct and found out they existed in this world and they teach how to ride them could be a whole new armor set based off of wardens from dragon edge and maybe even some new enchantments etc. and weapons they could even add a new enchantment system where you can add elemental effects to your weapons, ice fire, lightning, like from dragon age, and maybe even add a few new potions or poison from dragon age and the weapons could have things related to corruption such as curses and dragons, extra damage, etc. Gerald could even meet a few mages Warriors rogues from dragon Age just your average recruits or senior officers, and they could share the lower between both their worlds paid or have access to these new mechanics like enchanting weapons, armor and potions if he helps Mark and maps or help find griffins to be saved or rescue their eggs for the gray wardens
Or another thing they could do is they could fix the wolf quest with the werewolf in the woods and allow him to be cured or saved, and he isn’t a bad monster
Or another cool one would be how mages and Templars try to escape the catastrophe whether it’s dragon, age inquisition or dragon age 2 and during their escape, they worked with mages to open up portals to try to escape, and somehow their portal got screwed up, and they ended up in another world, and you could have maybe a village that worships the chant of light Andraste the maker and you could have kind of the same thing with the idea I put above new weapons, new armor, Templar armor for Gerald sword that affect demon demonic or cursed enemies more and you could learn about the history of dragon age, and have this whole Nother world of people who are adapting to the New World of the Witcher and maybe their world could be one of the spears like the conjunction of spears I think that would be really cool idea some new demonic creatures from dragon age, pride, demons, rage, demons, demons, maybe have a possession of a mage and you have to work with a Templar in order to break the curse or exercise the demon from the mage to save them or do you have to fight the mage and kill them as they are completely possessed you have choices this would be really really cool
I never really cared about the Witcher but these new tools are hot gonna buy it
I really hope this brings back the Doppler (i.e. appearance change) mod.
