My wife purchased this thing, have to say its well worth it. At least twice as fast fast as the main kitchen oven, very easy to use when cooking one item like chicken nibbles or chips, used it many times, barely touch the main oven these days except when doing a full roast.
@@patriciamercer9960 Yes, BUT and I am not kidding ,it just died about 20 minutes ago and then I read your message on here ROTFL. Just chucked in some chicken pieces and chips and no fan or heat, powered off at wall no good. Ok, so I think this lasted about 3.5 years with 2-3 uses a week. I am going to buy another same model. I think its worth the price for time and power saved, and I suspect other brands would probably not do much better.
This was my second air fryer ruclips.net/user/postUgkxD4Qeo-HRLxMfom_PDinM_SBfes00qJsB . The last one worked fine but was large and a bit loud. This one is outstanding. It is smaller overall but still has plenty of capacity. It crisps the food better. You don't get one side soggy if you forget to turn it over. It is pretty quiet, easy to use, easy to clean, and works great. It chimes to alert you to functions, like when to turn over food that benefits from that. The automatic pre-heat is great. The display is large and easy to read, the light inside is actually useful. The window is worth the extra $10. It looks good sitting out on my counter. I haven't been this happy with an appliance for a long time. Good value for money.
I had purchased a smaller basket version, after hearing positive comments from other family members, and although it was OK, it was a pain to clean, and didn't cook large amounts. When I saw an advertisement for the Power XL Pro, I figured I would try it out. That was just about 5years ago and counting. It is still working fine, and other than the same issue you illustrated with taking the basket out, and learning to circumvent problems using mitts or dish towel handy, we have had no problems. It is the most used appliance in my home. I've used the rotisserie feature for roasting beef, and pork tenderloin, used the dehydrator for veggies, and herbs, baked cakes and other breads in it. Used it as a toaster, reheat, love it for making Steak, pork, chicken, fish, burgers, hot dogs, sausage, baked potatoes, roasted vegetables, in fact, almost anything my large gas oven with convection roast capabilities, and my convection/microwave oven can do, this does, uses less heat, and unless I am cooking for a holiday, or something that would not fit into my airfryer oven, this is what we use daily, I even end up using this for burgers and steak in the summer, more than my outdoor gas grill.. The only issue I have is the oven door, which is my fault, after Years of use, and cleaning , have allowed water to get in between the glass, and some of the wording has worn off from cleaning, but all the buttons, etc are clear, including oven light. When and if this dies, I will purchase another one. Although, I wish they would come out with one in Stainless steel:)
great for morning breakfast, frozen sausage and frozen biscuits on the mesh tray at 400 for 13-14 minutes. You now have sausage biscuits. Great unbiased review Happy New Year.
Why is this the only machine that actually has so many video’s of itself functions and how to use the it? I’m really impressed and every single person on RUclips explaining how to use this should get some kind of gift. This is the air fryer that will make the most money.
I recently got that same type of air fryer so I'm glad you made this presentation I really appreciate it so I can learn more about it I'm still not sure how to use it but on the first time I used it I put chicken drumsticks in it without doing anything extra no seasoning or anything like that and even still the taste came out pretty good
Got mine for Christmas and love it. Cooked fried chicken, steak, acorn squash and kale chips. Next planning kabobs. Packing up old rotisserie as it takes up more space and does less. Looking forward to dehydrating my herbs. Here in Florida it's great for not heating up the house like a regular oven. (Thinking about throwing that out too). I sure hate cleaning ovens.
That’s awesome, Grams USA! Thank you for the comments - AND the ideas. Let us know how the dehydrator works for you. Thanks again for watching. Take a second to subscribe if you would 😊
I bought this 2 years ago from qvc. Was very nervous to use but within the month I have cooked salmon twice and pork chops. I have it on a large hard plastic cutting board on our island. I am still learning how to cook different things. My husband will tell you if he didn’t like what I make for dinner but he gave me a 👍 for the food I have cooked for dinners. I like this because you can adjust the temperature and cook time - which allow me to check the temperature of the food. Mine is only a 6 quart. Thank you for the information.🥰
Just took a pattie out the freezer, placed the pattie on a stainless steel pan, placed the pan on the (second to last) bottom rack of the air fryer, pushed the steak button, flipped in 12 minutes and let it cook the remaining time (a total of 25 min.) and wallah! The burger cooked to perfection and no need to clean the rack ❤
Loved your review. I had one of these in my shopping cart at Walmart yesterday because they are on sale for $69.99, I put it back because of the negative reviews. Today I am going back to purchase it.
Great presentation and well covered for all features. The biggest concern I have, and you highlighted it was the lousy 2 month warranty. It doesn’t seem like the company is confident enough to stand behind its product. That would make me think hard about buying one. Last thing I need is a $120 boat anchor😆 Being a single person who likes quick cooking and small portions, this type of appliance would fit my needs. I think I’ll shop around and compare warranties. A 1 year unlimited warranty may be hard to find but I’ll look around. Thanks for the nice review.

Thank you very much for such a thorough review. Yours is the best "no holds barred" review I've seen. With so many different brands out there I wasn't sure which one to buy. Now I'm convinced to go with this one. I live in Thailand. The department stores here don't carry it, but I was able to order it online for the equivalent of about $88. I am waiting to receive it, so meanwhile I am watching the videos about how to use it and recipes specific for air fryers.
Wow I'm shocked only 2 month warranty in the USA I have one and over here in the UK by law it has to come with a 1 year warranty mine came with a 2 year warranty and its the best thing I've ever bought. If I can fit it in I use it you should try the whole chicken rotisserie it's so good but as with everything never listen to the manufacturers recipes keep playing with it and pretty quick you find out what temps and times work best plus roast potatoes in it are awesome I also find food tastes better than in the oven and it cooks alot quicker ie a whole 5lb chicken is what 2 hours in the ove but 1hr 20 on the rotisserie and as for the smell I ran it for a full 60 minute cycle on 400 empty and worked great video

Thanks for watching, Rocio! I’m glad you found the review helpful. I think the first basket in this link will fit yours if it’s the same version as mine. www.powerxlproducts.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=Rotisserie+basket
Here's a quick rotisserie idea that I enjoy. Go buy one of those prepackaged dry rub, bacon wrapped pork tenderloins. 2lbs or less. Open one end of the package and while leaving the meat inside, drive the spit through the length of the tenderloin. Next, push the sharp stabilizer into the side of the meat so the spit goes through the holes. Make sure you align the stabilizer so you can lock the screw into the indented part on the spit. You're almost there now. Slide the rest of the meat from the package and push the stabilizer into the other side of the meat. Lock in the screw and insert like you would your fry basket. Turn on rotisserie for 22 minutes at 400, or preheat and go for 20. Don't forget to let it rest. The next time you're at the store, grab a tenderloin and give it a go. I love how dang tender and juicy the pork is while the bacon is crisp. So good.
My wife and I use it for the first time today we thought getting the rack Al was a pain it was Noal really handled so I can grab a hold of it just seem to come out and I was hard to hold I wish she was made a little bit different but overall cooking white deer good job
Great review, and thank you! My aunt just gave me one of these cookers that she bought off of Facebook marketplace, and I’m looking forward to cooking Chinese BBQ in it😃😃.
I have a air fryer and that cooking all the way through thing was said, but what I found was ignore the time it says and cook it as if it were in your actual oven. My air fryer stays between 380 to 390 degrees when I cook with it and food always comes out tasty
I love this air fryer we've used it since it has been cold outside. Going out to bbq in the cold sucks sometimes. The only thing I dislike about it is everything and I mean everything sticks to the grates that come with it. Even if you spray oil first. My wife bought some silicone liners to go on top of them. Hopefully that helps with the sticking. We've done drum sticks porkchops chicken strips eggplant fries zucchini fries both breaded and no breaded on the meats.
couple of yrs ago I got one and the door is bad. I sent it back and they replaced it and the door is bad on that one too. it really should have been a consumer recall....... I wonder just how many have same issue. I Love it, however, I have to play with the door with a toothpick or roll tape or something to be able to use it and jack the door up alittle in order to use it, I got another and the fan inside slowly rubs something. These are great but do have problems.
I just got mine but when i first open and using for fries, it didnt cooked the fries for 45 mins setting. The iron rod was not getting any heat and i couldn’t hear any air fan running. I think it was defective.
Think im just gonna return mine...the tristar domain doesnt look legit and cant find a way to add accessories... looks like customer reviews arent great either.. the blowing up thing sounds scary, thanks for much insight. Love the the knowledge you give on items 👍
This is literally one of the best air fryers out there!! The one with the baskets are horrible. I line the tray with foil and do WRIGHTS thick cut bacon 335° for 25 min...THE BEST BACON EVER!!!
This oven worked fine for 6 months until the interior light stopped working and they don't tell you that you can't change the bulb as it's built into the appliance as it was only 6 months old was sent out another one and oven light only worked intermittently it was faulty so got my money back
This crap stopped heating after just two years of use. It turns on like nothing happens, the fan works but the heating element works intermitently. Sometimes it throws an ERR 03 message. This is my second air fryer. The first one was bought like 5 or 6 years ago and is still working like a charm.
Sorry for the delayed response. I was trying to do some research before I answered., and I can’t seem to find the answer to your question. I can tell you that the basket, rotisserie pieces, and shelves are metal and the drip tray is coated. I’m not sure exactly what the components of those are. Sorry about that. Thank you for watching and for your question. Subscribe while you’re here if you would 😊
I just bought one for 45 bucks on mark down at Walmart. Thought I'd give it a try for that price. After your review I think I may have got a good deal. I usually watch reviews before I open the packaging so that I can take it back if needed.
Update on purchase: This thing cooks! I was using a small air cooker on with french fries and had to wait 30 mins. I put 4 pork chops in this PowerXL and almost dehydrated the pork chops! I was so surprised and happy even though my pork chops were dried out. I should have read the directions and paid closer attention. It's large enough to put two 8" round cake pans in the oven but it might disrupt the air flow. It cooked pork chops without a big mess. I sprayed the racks and nothing would have sticked if I didn't over due it. I'm definitely glad that I purchased it. I can start eating more healthy.
I made fried chicken and it turned our beautifully. You do need to turn chicken every ten minutes. Tried fried zucchini but did not care for it. Used the basket to cook frozen french fries and they turned out crispy.
I hate cleaning the racks and inside. I'm afraid if I put in dishwasher they will start to flake. Also when doing anything greasy like burgers or other meat, when you pull out the racks it drips grease every where. I almost wish I would of not gotten this style, but I'm to lazy to box it up and return it.
Very good points, Mary. So far when I cook something I figure might drip, I used a baking sheet. But, I haven’t done anything super greasy yet. I have washed my trays in the dishwasher a few times, and so far so good, but I’ll keep it updated here. Thanks for watching, Mary, and for commenting! Subscribe while you’re here if you would!
The coating on the inside of the air fryer or in the cooking racks? Either way, I’m not sure. But, I’ve had mine a couple of years and haven’t noticed any peeling. If someone out there knows, let us know!
Thank you for your review I went to Brandsmart in search of the Cosori air fryer because of its top ratings and they had none then I ran accross this one and went with this. Haven’t used it yet but I can’t wait.
I hope you enjoy it! Thanks for watch. Come back after you’ve used it a while and let us know what you think! Subscribe while you’re here if you would 😊
@@ReviewThisThing I fired it up right now testing out Brussel sprouts and then I want to put in frozen chicken breast. Will keep you posted. Subscribing now 🤗🤗
@@conspiracynikkikimmi5765 Nikki it is but to cook even and faster it’s better to use 2 racks at a time instead of all 3. I’ve put the frozen Barber stuffed chicken breast and they came out well. You just have to play with the timer because some cases it’s too long or too short. Air Fried wings are delicious and come out like this regular fried wings. You just need to make sure you spray with Pam all over it helps. Give it a try. The Brussels sprouts came out perfect and delicious.
Fantastic 3 year guarantee. Replaced in two days , cooks a small chicken in 40 mins . 5 for price cook 3 things at once krbsbs gredt the rotisserie function is brilliant
I had my air fryer just over 90 days before the handle broke. For the past three weeks I keep getting ghosted by the manufacturer because they are not capable of just sticking a new door in the mail so I can actually use my air fryer again. The fryer worked great while I was able to use it but their customer service sucks.
Sorry for my delayed response, Tyson. I was trying to do a little research, but I’ve come up empty. The only thing I found was some guy saying you could put tape over the beeper in the circuit board, but that sounds like a pretty terrible idea - at least one I’m not gonna try. Turning off the beeping would definitely be a handy feature, though! Thanks for watching! Subscribe while you’re here if you would. 😁
I just bought this . I don’t know how long would be. I read reviews , it’s doesn’t go too long. One of customer said it’s only last 2 months and stop working it. I am scared now. I paid 152
Thanks so much for watching! The drip tray is easy. The “screen” grates can be a little annoying but not bad if you clean it pretty fast. The door - that’s another story. I probably don’t clean it enough, but it’s pretty hard to get stuff off it. I hope that helps!!!
So it’s either this one powerxlproducts.com/accessories/air_fryer_oven_pro_rotisserie_basket__cm001_2_3_ Or this one powerxlproducts.com/accessories/air_fryer_oven_parts/air_fryer_oven_pro_rotisserie_basket__gla_series_ But it depends on the model you have.
@@ReviewThisThing SO new review this is going back to the store. It does not get hot enough. At 400 I ended up cooking frozen breaded fish fillets (2) for 40 min. I tried to toast an english muffin right after took the fish out cooked at 400 for around 15 - 20 min before got even the slightes bit toasty.
My manual was lost in a recent move. The air fryer was a gift and I didn't have room to use it so it sat for 2 yrs in a closet. The model I have has a solid dark metal pan, the round basket, roast holder, 2 flat wire shelves and 2 wire shelves that are slightly lower over all than their edges by about 1/2 inch. I have no idea if the dark metal pan is just the drip pan that goes on the floor of the Pro or if it can be used to bake on. Wondering how the silicone insert works if the hot air can't get to the bottom of the food.
im trying to decide if this is a product worth buying or is just junk like most plastic appliances that are made in china...whats odd is that the reviews for this model on QVC are pretty bad but on amazon the previews are very good..how can that be?.. i do know aamzon reviews are many times rigged up and not real...any input would be appreciated....i have seen many reviews regarding this model failing after only a few months...thats not good....one thing i know for sure is that a plastic oven is not a proper design.....it should be metal body...heat and plastic dont work well together.....thank you
Thanks for watching, HS - and for commenting. I have heard about people paying for Amazon reviews but never experienced anything like that myself. We’ve still been having a good experience with ours, so we glad of that. I hope you’re able to figure out if it’s something you want to try! Sorry for the delayed response. I wanted to do some research first. It looks like this version is 1700 watt per the Amazon description. amzn.to/2OCpM09 here’s a link to this one. I hope that helps!
Mine actually came with the basket. I have seen them on the PowerXL website as well : powerxlproducts.com and search rotating mesh basket (but I have t ordered from here before)
It came with that rotating basket I make tater tots in. I hate yours didn’t! That’s my favorite accessory! Thanks for watching and asking! Subscribe while you’re here if you don’t mind 😊
They should recall all air fryers or at least let you know not to use it on our counters because they get very HOT. Our brand new quartz counter top exploded on the first use of the PowerXL. We now use it in a thick cookie sheet on top of the stove which they don't recommend. Maybe it's for out door use only?

Slide the rest of the meat from the package and push the stabilizer into the other side of the meat. Lock in the screw and insert like you would your fry basket.
Turn on rotisserie for 22 minutes at 400, or preheat and go for 20.
Don't forget to let it rest.
The next time you're at the store, grab a tenderloin and give it a go. I love how dang tender and juicy the pork is while the bacon is crisp. So good.
Oh wow! That definitely sounds like something to try!

Thank YOU! Let me know what you think.
I cook biscuits. I cook meatloaf. I cook bacon in about anything I wanted. It is one great machine
Mmmmm. Yummy.
I have a air fryer and that cooking all the way through thing was said, but what I found was ignore the time it says and cook it as if it were in your actual oven. My air fryer stays between 380 to 390 degrees when I cook with it and food always comes out tasty
Thanks for watching and sharing that info with everyone, Uncle Elroy! That’s a great tip!
No problem, I plan on getting that one next. Great channel
Your food selection sounds awesome! Yeah - everything does stick for sure. I need to try the silicone. Thanks for the tip!
Thx! She said the silicone mats have holes on them so hopefully airflow doesn't get blocked during the cooking process.
@@jasonjumbelick5968 that’s probably important!
couple of yrs ago I got one and the door is bad.
I’m glad we haven’t had those issues. Ours is still going strong!
I just got mine but when i first open and using for fries, it didnt cooked the fries for 45 mins setting. The iron rod was not getting any heat and i couldn’t hear any air fan running. I think it was defective.
Hmmm...yeah. You can hear air moving pretty much as soon as it starts going. Does the light inside work?
Think im just gonna return mine...the tristar domain doesnt look legit and cant find a way to add accessories... looks like customer reviews arent great either.. the blowing up thing sounds scary, thanks for much insight. Love the the knowledge you give on items 👍
Thank you for watching. You’ve definitely got to do what you feel safe with! I hope you find one you like.
This is literally one of the best air fryers out there!! The one with the baskets are horrible. I line the tray with foil and do WRIGHTS thick cut bacon 335° for 25 min...THE BEST BACON EVER!!!
Oooohhh! Bacon! Great idea.
This oven worked fine for 6 months until the interior light stopped working and they don't tell you that you can't change the bulb as it's built into the appliance as it was only 6 months old was sent out another one and oven light only worked intermittently it was faulty so got my money back
Thank you for letting everyone know your experience! And thanks for watching. Please subscribe while you’re here if you would.
Love mine haven’t had any issues or complains.
Awesome! Thank you!
This crap stopped heating after just two years of use. It turns on like nothing happens, the fan works but the heating element works intermitently. Sometimes it throws an ERR 03 message. This is my second air fryer. The first one was bought like 5 or 6 years ago and is still working like a charm.
That’s not good. I hope ours keeps kicking for a few more years!
I ove mineas a disabled vet this thing helps big time
That's awesome to hear!
What are the different accessories made out of? What is stainless steel and what is teflon?
Sorry for the delayed response. I was trying to do some research before I answered., and I can’t seem to find the answer to your question. I can tell you that the basket, rotisserie pieces, and shelves are metal and the drip tray is coated. I’m not sure exactly what the components of those are. Sorry about that. I just bought one for 45 bucks on mark down at Walmart. Thought I'd give it a try for that price. After your review I think I may have got a good deal. I usually watch reviews before I open the packaging so that I can take it back if needed.
I hope you love it!

@@lawks56 heck yeah! I’m glad you like yours, too!
Thanks for the info, much appreciated. Will help as I just bought one.

How do I cook multiple foods eg. Chicken drum stick, potato and vegetables at the same time what setting do I select ?
Ooh. That’s a good question. I’m not really sure. I’d say make sure the chicken gets done. The hard part will be not burning the veggies.
I just got mine looking forward trying it out mine was just delivered
Let us know how it works for you!
Loved your review on the air fryer. Our local big box hardware has them for $70 right now. You just made them a sale!
Thank you!!! I’m glad you enjoyed it. I hope you love yours!!!
I made fried chicken and it turned our beautifully. You do need to turn chicken every ten minutes. Tried fried zucchini but did not care for it. Used the basket to cook frozen french fries and they turned out crispy.
Thanks for watching and commenting, Paula! Thanks for the tip about the chicken!!!

Thanks for watching! I hope you like it! Yeah - I’m afraid it’s gonna be ugly Saturday!
Any idea what the coating is? The company won’t tell me. Don’t want teflon or anything that will peel.

@@positivechic1463 awesome! Thanks!
@@positivechic1463 I'm so curious if it's still great?
@@conspiracynikkikimmi5765 Nikki it is but to cook even and faster it’s better to use 2 racks at a time instead of all 3. I’ve put the frozen Barber stuffed chicken breast and they came out well. You just have to play with the timer because some cases it’s too long or too short. Air Fried wings are delicious and come out like this regular fried wings. You just need to make sure you spray with Pam all over it helps. Give it a try. The Brussels sprouts came out perfect and delicious.
I like your TN Vols hat! (my sister graduated from University of TN Knoxville).

Thank you for the review. I was just gifted this oven. Found your 5/5 review system very good and there was a lot of info here- thanks!

Fantastic 3 year guarantee. Replaced in two days , cooks a small chicken in 40 mins . 5 for price cook 3 things at once krbsbs gredt the rotisserie function is brilliant
Thanks for that!
I had my air fryer just over 90 days before the handle broke. For the past three weeks I keep getting ghosted by the manufacturer because they are not capable of just sticking a new door in the mail so I can actually use my air fryer again. The fryer worked great while I was able to use it but their customer service sucks.
That stinks. Thankfully we haven’t had to deal with customer service, but that’s good to know. Thank you!
is there a way to turn off the beeping? its awfully loud

I paid 152
Hopefully you’ll have the same luck we’ve had. Ours is still going strong and is probably 2-3 years old. Good luck!
Thanks so much for this detailed review. How easy is it to clean?
Thanks so much for watching! The drip tray is easy. The “screen” grates can be a little annoying but not bad if you clean it pretty fast. The door - that’s another story. I probably don’t clean it enough, but it’s pretty hard to get stuff off it. I hope that helps!!!

@@ReviewThisThing SO new review this is going back to the store. It does not get hot enough. At 400 I ended up cooking frozen breaded fish fillets (2) for 40 min. When you bought this did they give you 3 books of the recipe and 100 dolla voucher?
I think there were probably 2-3 books, but I definitely didn’t get a voucher!
Is there any way to turn off the excessively loud beeping ?
Not that I have found.
Thank you
Thank you for watching!
Why does the door have those holes where excess water can get in? Other than that we love it.
That’s a great question. Maybe it helps with air circulation so the door doesn’t get too hot?
My manual was lost in a recent move. The air fryer was a gift and I didn't have room to use it so it sat for 2 yrs in a closet. The model I have has a solid dark metal pan, the round basket, roast holder, 2 flat wire shelves and 2 wire shelves that are slightly lower over all than their edges by about 1/2 inch. I have no idea if the dark metal pan is just the drip pan that goes on the floor of the Pro or if it can be used to bake on.
Wondering how the silicone insert works if the hot air can't get to the bottom of the food.
The metal pan is the drip pan for the bottom. I haven’t used the silicone inserts so I’m not sure.
@@ReviewThisThing thanks!
I haven't looked at any other basket types so this is my first rodeo lol

the reviews for this model on QVC are pretty bad but on amazon the
previews are very good..how can that be?.. i do know aamzon reviews are
many times rigged up and not real...any input would be appreciated....i
have seen many reviews regarding this model failing after only a few
months...thats not good....one thing i know for sure is that a plastic
oven is not a proper design.....it should be metal body...heat and
plastic dont work well together.....thank you

They should recall all air fryers or at least let you know not to use it on our counters because they get very HOT. Our brand new quartz counter top exploded on the first use of the PowerXL. We now use it in a thick cookie sheet on top of the stove which they don't recommend. Maybe it's for out door use only?
That doesn’t sound good at all. We’ve had ours on our countertop for over 2 years and never had any problems.
