I was born and raised in Chicago, but after working 12 years in the financial Industry regulating the futures and options markets at the CME/CBOT I decided to pursue my passion fishing professional tournaments and left my full time corporate job. At that point, I moved to Junction City, WI with my wife Sara and two boys Hank and Duke. I've been fishing professionally since 2011 and full-time since 2015. I've qualified for seven MLF Championships and won over a half million in tournament winnings at the professional level.

Good job at Eufaula! ! It can fish pretty small with the Dam area and some of the creeks down south being predominate. It’s a tough one when the wind is blowing, as is normal in Spring. Be safe and good luck at Lake of the Ozarks where the big waves aren’t from the wind!

Nice job on your last tournament! Could please have core tackle design a new weighted wacky hook? They don't have a large enough gap to hook fish! I lost six of my seven fish in a tournament yesterday! If I would have landed five, I would have won first place.

Matt which sunglasses do you prefer and which color lenses. There’s a lot of different choices out there and I feel like someone that’s on the water all the time would know what’s best.

Quick rod question for an accomplished builder...I bought a clearance XHVY Okuma swimbait travel rod for 60$. It was listed as casting, but looks like saltwater spinning, with double footed guides. Am I in danger of breaking the rod if I use it "upside down"?...assuming I even know which way it's supposed to go; no trigger. Casts spin and BC just fine. Thanks, if you have anything to offer.

Is this the Alabama lake or the Oklahoma lake that you are talking about.
I'm old school, basically took a couple of decades off from fishing and have never even thrown flourocarbon line. Is Berkley 100% your general fluoro, or is it just for certain situations? I've been looking at all the choices and haven't decided on one to try yet.
