I don't understand why people that don't use the standard Langsthroth hive always blow hard to show how much better their unconventional hive is. I don't see a single commercial beekeeper using Apimaye hive. Commercial beekeepers are in for the money and if the Apimaye hive gave them an advantage they would certainly be using it. You don't have to use chemical to separate the bees from the honey frames, use a bee escape, either the Quebec bee escape or the one from New Zealand. The Quebec bee escape is simple and cheap to make.
First of all commercial beekeepers build they own boxes cheapest way they can. Most of the time they are garbage that needs to be replaced after 5 years and sometimes sooner. Secondly they use doggone pallets as a bottom board. Commercial beekeepers don’t give a crap about bees, just how deep they can stuff their pockets. Apimaye hives are doggone awesome, and if you calculated everything you need to buy wooden one plus all the extra feeders and components, and you have to painted and repainted every two years, the wood hives will cost you more than this one in a long run. The only thing I hate in this video how damn careless she is. Smushed like 50 bees stocking boxes together. She needs to use at least a brush to get them off since smoker is out of question.
I’d like to see you not smushing so many bees closing up hive!
Me too! But as strong as that hive is, and as heavy as that deep is…I do the best I can without them going full attack mode on me.
Use a brush or smoke? You crushed like 50 bees...😢
Great video - thanks very much.
FYI - Apimaye is a Turkish company.
Yes, that’s right. Thank you!!!
Hello from kajun homestead and beekeeping , new subscriber, love the video I just started using the apimaye this year and I love them.
Welcome!
You can, recan, in store jars. Rebel canning 💪🏼
Great job!! I am learning and found this super encouraging!
Glad it was helpful!
Great video always nice to see how different people do jobs like this :) hope you and your bees are well :)
Nice video and very helpful. However, when using the feeders or queen excluder the lower position of the latch should be used...
Great tip!
You killed so much of your bees at 14:51.... try using smoke next time so you don't kill as much.
Awesome. ? What is the name of the hive boxes?
Apimaye - We love them!
I really think using a knife is better bcuz you have less filtering to do
Possibly. I'm glad I didn't have too many to do this time. Thank you!
