To everyone saying the bf could’ve changed the rules: yes, he could’ve. But he didn’t because the main character is designed to win so no matter what, anything that prevents that won’t happen.
He could have ended the curse entirely, meaning that every participant could have one including the main character, but that would have screwed up the plot the director's were hoping to follow.

I find it really fascinating when people try finding loopholes in supernatural stuff. As if supernatural entities are honor bound and would just be like "ah shit, you found a loop hole, i guess everything is gonna be all hunky dory now"
Reminds me of Pick of Destiny, where they challenge Satan to a rock-off and he pulls out this huge ass piece of paper with all the demon rules on it and can't help but go "yeah, fuck it, we're doing it, what do you want?". It is kind of an old rule, that anything is bound by some kind of rule, like it's a law of nature. It's the same in the old fiddle story and the reason behind the most fantastical monsters having the most mundane counters, like iron shackling fairies or vampires needing to be let in the house. Funnily enough, the only guy who goes against these kinda rules, is often just God. "I said this, but actually I meant this, tough titties, you're in hell now" is basically the essence of old testament boy. And even if you do play by his rules, you come out crippled and having lost everything.
"There is no falsehood in the word of demons." Quote from the leader of an oni gang in an old Japanese tale. In which the hero of the story lies to trick and kill the demons, but the demons themselves remain honorable albeit evil throughout.
For the pen one everyone could just take one pen and everyone could live. It looks like there is lots of pens in the box so this could be possible. The king might get mad and kill someone but he/she didn’t say we couldn’t do that so it’s worth a try.
I don’t think that would work, according to the video’s explanation. The rules indicate that the last person to TAKE a pen will be erased, not the person who takes the last REMAINING pen. This means that if only one person were to take a pen and no one did after them, they would be the first AND last to take a pen, and they would be erased. It also means that no matter how many pens were left in the end, the last person to take a pen out of the box would be erased. Theoretically, the only way for there not to be a last person to take the pen is if no one took a pen at all, making there be no first or last person. But then, they would not have complied with the rules, so all participants would be ‘punished’ (i.e. erased). Theoretically, if everyone took a pen out of the box at the same time, they would all be first and last to take a pen (in a tie) and they would probably all be erased as ‘last to take a pen out of the box’.
This review gives me chills due to the facts the classmates gradually disappearing. On top of that , I’m almost 40, my nightmares often involve repeating school. Which is ironic given I was a straight a student and went on to become a teacher .
Personally my first thought, while only knowing as much as the character in the situation (like, there is a king that has set rules and have supernatural powers, and I'm now the king for a day), I would have asked "The previous king must quit the game". I don't know if it would have worked, maybe the king wasn't counted as a competitor at this point, but if he was he would vanish from existence by his own rules, right? So no more king game, ever, saving everyone in the present and future, right?
I have to say I appreciate the makers of this making it a completely different story than the anime. The anime only has one season, and having this movie explore a deferent story, while it might upset some anime fans, makes this movie look like the second season, which I really enjoy.
The boyfriend's order should've been that after that point, the king shall no longer give any more orders and that the game is over with the missing students returned safe and sound. Should the king give anymore orders and continue the game, then the king will be punished.
These are great ideas, most of them being ones I didn't think of before watching this video because I was more focused on how interesting and uncanny this story is. However, I _did_ already have an idea that was a potential way for the class to overcome the entire game. Yahiro, the angry boyfriend of Misaki who temporarily became King during the fifth order, could've strategically used that position to benefit the entire class if he wasn't so rash. Declaring himself the replacement of the initial King doesn't count as an order to someone else, but he could've ordered that a different student would become the new King to replace the initial one that texted them. The student would have to be one that can be trusted to use the power to save them all. At that point, the class would have all the opportunities they need in order to fix everything. I presume being the new non-temporary King gives the person control over the rules, so the new King could make it so that quitting the game will not result in punishment, so that everyone can stop competing safely. The new King may also be able to undo the erasures of the students that were previously eliminated. Since the original King is able to affect history, the new King may be able to deem that the punishment of being erased from history was a punishment that was never the case in the first place. The class is aware of changes to the past done by the King when they are part of the game, so for the sake of convenience, the erasure reversion should be done before everyone quits so that the new King isn't the only one who remembers that the erasures ever happened.
This game has a really simple plot hole It's not stated in the rules that the king can't change other rules At the beginning the 5th order was that one of the students becomes king for 24 hours That's when he could've changed the first rule and let everyone quit and win the game with 0% casualties The Ideal Win
It's not really a plot hole, just human error although really stupid. Knowing this game is literally killing ppl that one order could've potentially save everyone. Honestly, that should've never been an order. That just pissed me off.
I found a plothole in your plothole. Posing as other student wasn't against the rules either and yet they got deleted. Yes, it said that student XY has to chose the 3 victims but, if other person chose it posing as him, the order shouldn't go through.
@@tokenetta8070 In real life, that would probably be how it would go but if it happened like that in the story then there would be no story left to tell so for the purposes of storytelling that's probably why the obvious is ignored.
Well considering in the anime the winner is asked if they wouod like to continue the game with a different class or be punished and the punishment is memory erased and you end up playing the game again regardless. So who's to say that if that order was made he would have won and been given that option of play again or be punished and if starts again then all of his same classmates who just exited the game would get pulled right back into it again. Might as well use the king position for your own goals and not try to help others. Or you can tell the game that from now on when you get punished you get payed $100 for not following its orders. Then if you play forever you would get indefinite money and the winner of the game could play with as many classes as they want and watch everyone else get fucked up while you just make money ignoring the texts.
As king I would just say "I will be king again tommorow", and just keep doing that forever, or something like "Ill be king for the rest of this week", which basically allows me to make one free god like wish every day untill the end of the week where I just extend the time again.
It would be foolish work to order that you would want be king tomorrow, because as fun as it sounds, you only have one order per day. So, in order to maintain your king position, you would have to waste your day's order just to be king tomorrow. You won't be able to make any other fun orders in your day. Now, I would rather order to be the king for multiple days (Forever maybe) so that in between my king days, I can still make orders, Not a single day.

"I would order everyone to die and declare me the winner" How about simply ordering the game to end right there? So the game is over and you don't kill the rest of your class? Nah, that's what a non psychopath would try to do ... >.< Maybe even order the students that got erased from existence, to be brought back into existence and then the game to end ... Killing everyone else, is really the last option I would even consider, if everything else failed or if I already knew, that there can only be one person left in the end ...
i'm not gonna lie, i would rather just be erased from existence. the chances of me winning are so low that i would rather do what the bully did and sacrifice myself so that others can survive, or i would just block the number. if i do survive my individual challenge, i could be killed in a slow, violent manner in someone else's challenge, or by another student.
I feel like the saddest part of the story is that Chiami never got to finish school the poor girl was stuck in school for the rest of her immortal life :(
And if she kills herself after every game and is forced back to life, getting a tattoo thats says not to go to school wont work because the king can just get rid of it. She has no escape, she is stuck in this loop forever.

After seeing the nerdy guy die for no reason other than it being declared by King Boyfriend, I feel like being king gives a lot of options on how to stop the game, like ordering it to stop, ordering the normal King to reveal themselves, etc.
"I command that the game ends" "Okay, everyone dies - the game is now over." Gotta be careful in how you phrase it, cause the game still ends via everyone dying.
@@joao34386 Saying “everyone dies” could/would include yourself as well. It would be better to say “everyone except me dies” since no one has prior knowledge about that curse.
**pause** ok, this man is running away from the murderer at a 50 mile radius, realising his options aren't only his crocs on sports mode, but he also has his vessies-
"As the king, I order for the game to be finally over with the condition of every player right now to live normally without punishment, while causing the death game to be never occur forevermore." (just a loophole, never use "and" since it might consider it 2 orders)
Except who do you command in this situation? You can't direct it to the King because Cheimi doesn't know she's the king, so she will fail to end the game and disappear. And the game would continue.
Simply put, you call it out in the classroom whilst addressing the king who is in the classroom. Even if you don't know who is the king (or even if they themselves know they are the king), they are still witnessing the game play out. So by giving this order, when you are temporarily king, this will work. Remember this is a supernatural curse and this is probably the only opportunity to safely break it.
@@Domanese I don't think you understand that just because you make a command doesn't mean anyone will follow it. And what I'm saying is that the King doesn't know to follow it at all because it's addressed to the king which she doesn't think she is, so she won't.
It is so much simpler: Order the original king to erase himself from existence and make all of this undone, either he does it or he goes bye bye, seems like a win to me
After she found out about her curse I don’t understand why she didn’t just become the king of the next game. I get it would suck but it’s a lot better than having to relive that experience over and over again with no knowledge, at least this time around she has information on her past.
Cinema Summary: Simply pose as the king, make a order, which they have to obey Me: *My next order is that you are able to quit and can have a good day* Cinema and everyone: Understandable, have a damn good day.
Your a genius, you can make everyone quit and make them think they're done, then if the real king responds you can tell them that the king is fake, you utter genius!
Just a heads up the idea of "You must touch the king" was actually used in the game prior to this one, where Nami was forced to give herself an order which had to be obeyed as if it were from the king. Here is the wiki's details of it: Nami's Order: Female student Seat No.22 Hirano Nami. Hirano Nami must touch the King. [Order not Completed: Hirano Nami was sentenced to eternal darkness (blindness).] The idea that the king was part of the class from the beginning was what caused her to make herself blind.
Tricky part is the real king has no human form. Nami would assume a king has human form when all along the king is a computer virus. What Nami did is she touched a god. I mean by reading that wiki, Nami touched a woman who holds a god title. She is called God of Gaming only on the online video gaming world. So touching a god did not count for Nami. For this girl Ria, before she was even forced into a king's game, she used to spend her days playing video games, winning tournament titles. Which is why she is remembered as a hacker. So I would assume once she is involved in a king's game, she needs to retire from video games. After all, part of winning online gaming tournaments do require commitment. The king was not part of the class. It is a computer virus.
What if, when you're King, instead of ordering that everyone else die, you just order the game to be over? I'm not saying it was pretty questionable to immediately jump to 'kill everyone to survive' but...
Well, it has to be an order that the students can carry out, and even if it was possible, The second rule says that no one can quit the game and ordering to end the game is basically quitting

He could have ended the curse entirely, meaning that every participant could have one including the main character, but that would have screwed up the plot the director's were hoping to follow.

I find it really fascinating when people try finding loopholes in supernatural stuff. As if supernatural entities are honor bound and would just be like "ah shit, you found a loop hole, i guess everything is gonna be all hunky dory now"
Some are honour bound
most unironically are
Reminds me of Pick of Destiny, where they challenge Satan to a rock-off and he pulls out this huge ass piece of paper with all the demon rules on it and can't help but go "yeah, fuck it, we're doing it, what do you want?".
"There is no falsehood in the word of demons."
Quote from the leader of an oni gang in an old Japanese tale.

@@NotAGoodUsername360 Nah thats too ez

"This girl's life is about to turn into a nightmare"
Me: So nothing new it seems
Daaaaaaamn
I can’t stop laughing cause the “erased from existence” is just the king going:

/ban @XxstudentGamerxX reason: not following order

This game has a really simple plot hole
It's not stated in the rules that the king can't change other rules
At the beginning the 5th order was that one of the students becomes king for 24 hours
That's when he could've changed the first rule and let everyone quit and win the game with 0% casualties
The Ideal Win
@@BradLad56 That's why I said it shouldn't have even been an order. They could've did something else that wasn't so petty.

@@cyborgvison2024 yeah, except they can't, because they're not king for that day
It would be foolish work to order that you would want be king tomorrow, because as fun as it sounds, you only have one order per day. (just a loophole, never use "and" since it might consider it 2 orders)

Just a heads up the idea of "You must touch the king" was actually used in the game prior to this one, where Nami was forced to give herself an order which had to be obeyed as if it were from the king. Here is the wiki's details of it:
Nami's Order: Female student Seat No.22 Hirano Nami. Hirano Nami must touch the King. [Order not Completed: Hirano Nami was sentenced to eternal darkness (blindness).]
The idea that the king was part of the class from the beginning was what caused her to make herself blind.
