That was why I started reading Spiderman as a young teen: it was a way to explore my own loneliness and feelings I had more to me than people could understand.

"Root-work" might be apart of Nola culture, but for those of us Geechis on the east coast (Georgia- Carolina), it is not. Much of you in Louisiana came from the Caribbean or Africa directly, whereas we were mostly bred on breeding farms like puppies, so we have never had root workers in our families over here bc we kinda never had families (or African based culture)
