Ken didn't know that, went for his usual spiel (including the "you're already dead" catchphrase)... and received the worst beatdown of his entire life for his trouble.

原作の武論尊曰く、「ひでぶは、ひでえの誤植だった。その後調子に乗って敵が死ぬと奇声をあげて死ぬ事になった。」とファミ通やその他のインタビューで答えている。しかし、漫画家の原哲夫はそれを真っ向から否定しており、「死んでいく魂の叫びを文字にしたもので、ひでえの誤植では断じてない！」と断言している。
どちらの話が本当なのかは、不明だけど、露出が多かった武論尊の説の方が有名になってしまった。
