    Very nice. I've grown Marigolds for a few years now from seed I save at the end of each growing season. I did not know they could be propagated so easily by cuttings. Thanks ! I'll give it a try once they get big enough in another month or so.

    Dint knew marigold can be grown from the cuttings .. thanks for letting us know this. Though I'm waiting for my marigold seeds...the flowers are getting dried in sun.

      yes and also can be grown from seed inside the flower head. Grows easy never have to grow seed packs again

    Urban gardening this is awesome and I will definitely try it. I just have a question about the kind of soil. Is it ok to grow in potting soil from a bag? Or is it essential to use sand? I do have crushed granite in my yard which I thought to be sand earlier and added to one of the plants and it's doing fine.

      I also do this but use normal soil and it works just as well. Great vid. Clear and to the point

      Yes sure use 12-14 inch diameter pot for 2 plants

    I have the same rooting powder and I tried with 10 - 15 Bougainvillea cuttings, its been 2 weeks plus. Only two sticks started a leaf but they are very tiny no improvements at all. any help?

    which sand beach sand? or any other? and i also want to know which soil is good red or balck?

      sea shell ...fine beach or river bed sand will work fine ...you can use any type of soil red, black etc but make sure you add organic compost in it ..do not use clay soil tc happy gardening

    I have some marigold plants now....I knew that they are not ready to flower in these hot conditions,so shall I pluck all the plants with roots or keep these as it is for winter?? Suggest me

      Small stone over the drainage hole will help to prevent the potting soil from washing out of the hole when you water...:)it will only allow the excess water to drain out ...:) tc happy gardening

    I have a beautiful French marigold that was thriving with lots of flowers. Overnight she wilted and looks like dying. I think o overwatered her Sunday :( did I kill her? I have since drained the excess water and cut off the full bloom flower to give her a rest. Any tips?

      Make sure the drainage holes are not blocked...keep it in partial shade ...n hope for the best

      Urban Gardening thank you so much for replying. I am a former plant serial killer and for the first time all my plants are thriving. So I am feeling absolutely heart broken with my marigold :( I did read they are annuals, so they may die anyway? I am replanting the seeds now too.
