We need to develope a common strategy to support each other worldwide. It is not going to be easy but it is not impossible either.
The natural alliance between Kurds and Jews should never underestimated. It might not make a serious impact in short terms but in long runs we will have real advantages for stability, security, prosperity, bright future for both nations.
    Kind regards

_The Kurds are among the few groups in the Middle East that actively support Israel. This is largely due to their distinct identity as a secular, non-Arab, non-Turkish ethnic group. With an estimated population of over 60 million spread across the Middle East, and an additional 8 million in the global diaspora, the Kurds represent a significant and growing force in the region._
_Kurdish support for Israel is evident in a variety of settings, particularly in demonstrations where Kurds publicly express their solidarity with Israel. Kurdish academics, scholars, and intellectuals have consistently emphasized the strategic and ideological importance of a Kurdish-Israeli alliance. They argue that such a partnership is not only beneficial for both nations but could also be a catalyst for broader regional stability and peace._
_One of the key reasons for this alliance is that, unlike Israel, the Kurds do not have a recognized independent state. Their longing for self-determination and autonomy in the face of oppressive regimes in countries like Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Turkey has driven them to seek alliances with nations that value independence and sovereignty. Israel, which has faced similar struggles for recognition and survival in a hostile region, is seen as a natural ally. This shared experience of statelessness, combined with a common interest in resisting authoritarian regimes, strengthens the bond between Kurds and Israel._
_Moreover, Israel’s engagement with the Kurdish people in the Middle East could play a transformative role. By strengthening ties with Kurdish groups in Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Turkey-whether through direct partnerships or coordinated efforts-Israel could foster greater regional stability. The Kurds, with their complex and diverse political landscape, could serve as a bridge between Israel and the larger Middle Eastern world. A closer relationship could also empower the Kurds in their quest for autonomy, potentially leading to a new regional dynamic in which the Kurdish nation, as a secular and pluralistic entity, helps to mediate peace and stability in the Middle East._
_In this sense, a Kurdish-Israeli alliance could create a synergistic effect, where cooperation between the two not only benefits each party but also contributes to a broader vision of peace and security in a region long plagued by conflict. This collaboration might help counterbalance the influence of more hostile forces, bringing new opportunities for dialogue, understanding, and coexistence in the Middle East._

*The potential for a Kurdish-Israeli alliance to foster peace, democracy, and stability in the Middle East has garnered increasing academic attention in recent years. Scholars have written dissertations and conducted studies analyzing the feasibility and strategic importance of such an alliance, given the shared values and historical experiences of both the Kurdish and Jewish peoples. The argument for a closer partnership between Israel and the Kurds is not only a geopolitical consideration but also a reflection of their common struggles for self-determination and political autonomy.*
*One of the key reasons this alliance holds promise is the ongoing transformation in Kurdish regions across the Middle East, particularly in light of a weakening Iranian regime. The Kurds in Rojhilat (Eastern Kurdistan), which lies within Iran’s borders, are increasingly seen as a potential force for independence. Historically marginalized and repressed by the Iranian state, Kurds in this region have strengthened their calls for autonomy. This rising momentum toward Kurdish independence in Iran is seen as part of a broader shift that could reshape the regional political landscape (Gunter, 2010).*
*Similarly, the Kurdish resistance in Rojava (Syrian Kurdistan) has become a focal point for international recognition and admiration. The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) played a decisive role in the defeat of ISIS, particularly in the Battle of Kobani and the subsequent liberation of much of northern and eastern Syria. The United Nations and key global powers, including the United States, have praised the Kurds’ contribution to the fight against terrorism. Notably, U.S. President Donald Trump acknowledged the Kurds’ critical role in defeating ISIS and affirmed their strategic importance to U.S. foreign policy in the region (Warrick, 2019). This resistance, which has solidified the Kurds as an effective military and political force, further supports the potential for cooperation with Israel, which itself has a long history of facing existential threats.*
*Iraqi Kurdistan (Başûr) has already achieved a level of political autonomy, bolstered by its semi-independent status within Iraq. The region has established a functioning political system and a degree of military strength, positioning it as a valuable partner for Israel. Economically, the Kurds in Iraq have developed key energy resources, particularly oil, which could serve as the foundation for enhanced economic and military relations with Israel. A closer partnership between Israel and the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) could bring mutual benefits, including strengthened trade, technological collaboration, and military cooperation (Ames, 2017).*
*However, the Kurds in Bakur (Northern Kurdistan, in Turkey), with their population of over 30 million, are also a crucial part of this potential alliance. Although Kurdish political movements in Turkey have faced significant repression, particularly from the Turkish state, they share a historical and cultural connection with the Jewish people, stemming from their experiences of statelessness and struggle for recognition. Kurdish political leaders, like those in the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP), have emphasized the values of democracy, human rights, and peace-values that align closely with the democratic ideals upheld by Israel. The Kurdish diaspora, including those in Europe and the United States, also plays an important role in advocating for this alliance.*
*The secular nature of Kurdish political movements, especially those in Syria and Iraq, further enhances the potential for a strategic alliance with Israel. The Kurds, unlike many of their neighbors, have largely embraced secularism, making them more ideologically compatible with Israel, a democracy in a region where secularism is often in short supply. As the fourth-largest ethnic group in the Middle East, the Kurds represent a substantial geopolitical force that could shift the balance of power in the region. A Kurdish-Israeli alliance, based on shared interests and values, could create a significant synergy, where both nations benefit from each other’s support in facing regional challenges.*
*Looking forward, the potential for both Kurdistan and Israel to become members of international organizations such as NATO and the United Nations is not far-fetched. Such membership would further solidify the strategic relationship between the two and enhance their collective ability to influence regional dynamics. A Kurdish-Israeli partnership could serve as a model for regional cooperation, promoting peace, stability, and democratic governance in the Middle East.*
*In conclusion, a Kurdish-Jewish alliance has the potential to benefit both nations in the long term. By aligning their political, military, and economic interests, Israel and the Kurds could not only secure their respective futures but also contribute to a broader regional transformation. The alliance would offer the prospect of peace and prosperity for both peoples, who share a common historical trajectory of resistance to oppression and a mutual desire for autonomy and self-determination.*

% 24 of Iran’s GDP comes from Kurdish region. It says a lot about why we have to be stronger together. Kurdish region in Iraq, Syria and Iran together free of occupied states will make huge impact on Israel’s national security in the region. The world changed a lot and Kurds as well. We definitely need Israel in the region.

Both nations Kurds and Jews facing existential threats in the region. Pragmatists- short term relations with Turkish, Arabic states will never reach an agreement that will bring peace and stability into our future. Even NATO member Turkish state turned against Israel at the very first opportunity. Kurdish and Jews are natural friends not only because of our historical faith but also for our geopolitical future.
