    Thank you for the very detailed videos. The water system/valves was particularly helpful to me. I have a new-to-me 2-year-old Flagstaff EPro with that same setup. Kitchen sink pressure still not great but all others are.
    Per the detectors, my CO alarm went off once every night on 2 different recent trips when no CO source present. I reached out to RVSafe, and they stood behind the product, suspecting a “nuisance sensor” (boy howdy!). Sent me a new one right away with a request to return the faulty one to help with quality control. My appreciation to RVSafe as sensors are a critical, possibly life-saving feature.

    This masterclass video finally motivated me to winterize our wolf pup toy hauler today. Well okay, the 30 degree temps forecast all night did play some part in the panic! But if "knowledge is power", then it felt great getting the job done and "right in time." My main tank drain is a Tiny 1/2” 3/4 “ nipple with a screw on cap ! Take a for ever to drain and a pain to get off and on. Wish I had got the version you have. And also for fyi. I found my pump under my kitchen sink a long way from the water heater. I did have the 12 volt pump running slowly but found a video about the filter screen and I removed it and my water pressure was ten times better ! Even better than new so it must have had crap in it for the factory. Great info and video !!!!

      I also have an older 2019 Wolf Pup fq As for the pump clean the screen and put it back , it is there for a reason. I clean mine every year when winterizing. I have also put a thin layer of cork under the pump, it is much quieter that way As for the drain valves yes they are crap. Being a plastic inverted flare if left loose, they leak, if tightened further they crack the hose end, and leak . I have gotten by the last two seasons with wrapping the threads with teflon tape. This spring I will be cutting off the hose ends and putting on qate valves. Hope this helps. Cove

    Another great video! I've seen 100's (probably) of RV videos and this is the most concise and informative. It's cool that you're breaking down each system as an individual topic. I appreciate that you don't put a bunch of time-extending "jibber-jabber" in your videos. You take the time to carefully explain and (most importantly) show what you're speaking to. I presume at some point you'll take your Wolf Pup into the woods and we'll see a travel video! :-) It's sort of crazy to me that RV water heaters just drain out over the pan. So, an actual question... I presume that on either AC or propane, it will cycle on-and-off like a normal heater. Would it keep a pilot light running as long as the cabin panel is set to "on"? And I'm guessing you wouldn't want to leave it on (either AC or propane) when know you're not going to use it for a while (like go for a hike, etc). But obviously you want it available when needing to wash dishes or take a shower. I guess the question is: Does one really just turn it on when they absolutely know they need it?

    • @TheRVPastime
      @TheRVPastime 3 года назад +3

      Firstly, thank you for the kind words! As for the water heater, it does cycle on and off as needed based on the water temp in the tank. Whether on AC or gas. Basic rule of thumb is, when on shore power, use electric not gas. When dry camping, use gas. As far as I know, it does not use a pilot light. It’s an spark ignition source. Much like the stove. But yes, when the trailer is in storage, everything is off! I’ll be taking a long cross-country trek at the end of July and I’m hoping that will be the starts of some travel type videos. Thanks for watching!

    Great video, you have prevented several camping arguments lol. Do you have a suggestion for how to get to the inside water heater easily? Ours can theoretically be accessed through the bed or the storage hole. We added hinges and the hydronic arms to lift the bed for access, but the arms don’t allow it to come up high enough to easily reach the valves. Our other choice is the storage door and shimmy all the way across to reach it. I’m fairly small so I can get in both spaces, barely, but getting out is rough. Hubby can’t fit in either space.

    Hi! Very nice video. Thanks for sharing.
    I have issues with my water heater not working.
    I have water inside of my Wolf Pup but when I'm outside and open the pressure valve next to the water heater, no water comes out. Only a hissing sound. Do I need to fill the fresh water tank to use the heater? I'll not be boondocking.

    • @TheRVPastime
      @TheRVPastime 2 года назад +1

      I would say start making sure that your valves are in the correct orientation. If they are, the hot water tank would fill if you are connected to city water. If you have water in your fresh water tank the pump would be filling it from there if you have the pump on. To turn on the heat while connected to power, you would need to turn on the switch at the water heater outside. Otherwise, you could use the gas side with the switch inside. If you are running off gas and its not lighting, you may have air in the gas lines that you can bleed using the stove.

      You can actually plug in tv cable to the port that’s on the outside where you hang the TV. Just make sure the tv antenna booster is off. Coax is omnidirectional so that should get you signal to everything and you’d just use a splitter outside of you wanted to also watch TV out there.

    • @TheRVPastime
      @TheRVPastime 11 месяцев назад

      It’s a valve that’s part of the water pump itself. Towards the top. You’d have to take it a part and clean it out/make sure there no debris in there. Sometimes just running the pump helps too. Otherwise, you need to replace that part.

    Wow, this is so great! Just bought a 2021 WolfPup BL. One question for clarification: If my fresh water tank is full and I want hot water for a shower using only propane, do I just turn the water pump switch (using the inside panel controller) to "on"? This would pump water to the tank under the bed, which would then heat up using the water heater, correct?

    • @TheRVPastime
      @TheRVPastime 10 месяцев назад +1

      Any time you’re going to use water from your fresh tank you’d turn the pump on yes. You’ll also need to make sure you turn the water heater itself on from the panel for gas as well.

    • @geryallan4924

      Thanks so much for your reply. I filled my freshwater tank and turned the water pump and water heater on, but I'm not getting hot water to either the shower or kitchen. I've turned the valves so they are pointing toward the hot water tank under the bed. The furnace is working - I can feel the hot water in the tank. Everything is plugged in, but I"m not getting hot water. Cold water works fine in bathroom and kitchen, just no hot water. Any suggestions???

    • @geryallan4924
      @geryallan4924 10 месяцев назад +1

      Update on my question about not having hot water. I had another look at the valves leading to the hot water tank and decided to try turning the hot water valve so that it was in-line with the red hose, rather than pointing toward the tank. When I did this, I got hot water :-) So, not sure if my valves are different, or if I just didn't understand what you were saying about these valves. Right now, the valve on the blue, cold water line is pointed toward the tank and the valve on the red, hot water line is pointing toward the line (parallel with red line). This gives me hot water in both bathroom and kitchen 🙂

    • @TheRVPastime
      @TheRVPastime Месяц назад

      You would still be able to use the outside shower even if the water heater was bypassed. you just obviously wouldn’t have hot water… So as long as all your valves are in line, you should have water to that faucet

    • @CarolineFoss-zw2jv

      Maybe my last newbie question… for the hot water heater- I got the on /off switch for using accessing from outside … if you are using gas from the inside do you keep the electric on switch (black switch) or can it be off?

      Typically, you use either/or. However you can use both if you need a faster turnaround time to heat the water assuming you’re in shore power and needing to use a lot of hot water past your tank capacity.

    Help! The fees water “terra valve” (is that what you called it?) is leaking…maiden voyage! The leak appears to be coming from a fitting and not the pull-valve seal. There is a lot of spray foam insulation in the same area. How can we fix the leak short of taking it back to the dealer which is four hours away. Thank you!!!

      If its coming from the fitting, I’d say replace the fitting. That’s really all you can do.

    I have a question . Last trip, I connected city water with a pressure regulator, heard slight noise. System seemed ok, next morning water was over flowing from the water storage tank. No water any where inside the camper. Idea's?

      Yeah that sounds like the check valve on the pump might have failed or has debris in it. Usually if you run the pump a few times that’ll clear out otherwise you might have to replace.

    Don't you need to use filter in FRESH WATER tank as well, but most importantly, HOW would you do it, could it even be done? And also what is that valve called you attached to elbow? Feedback appreciated very much!!

    • @TheRVPastime
      @TheRVPastime Год назад

      I’m having trouble understanding your question, but the elbow has quick connects and then an in-line shutoff.

      @@TheRVPastime How do you filter the water going into the Fresh Water Tank? In the video you only show us how to filter the City Water tank.

      Oh, it’s the same connection. There is a filter in line so whether you use that hose to fill up the water tank or hook up to the water connection, it goes through that in line filter

    I have the plastic plug style on my water heater drain. It was leaking. So I took it out to put plumbers tape on, which didn’t work, it drained, i put it back and turned my city connection back on. Now my hot water will not work unless my water pump is in and my hot water will not run unless the water heater is on, which it did before. Just it would run cold unless I had gas in the propane tank. My pump did not have to be on before for my water to run. Why does it now? Do I need to fill that tank out by the city connect?
