Congratulations on passing your IL driving lesson! I've had my license since I was 16 and to this day, I still say "Up, up, and away" when I park uphill, lol! My uncle taught me that phrase to remember where to turn the wheel for my driving lesson 😊.

The way ppl drive in Chicago I was sure they didn’t even give road tests anymore 😂 I thought they just hand out licenses now. I haven’t taken it since I was 17, and I think as long as you keep a good driving record, you can just renew by mail.

Hi Shanna. I moved to Chicago a year ago & I haven’t changed over my license. I didn’t know I would have to take a driving and written test so thank you so much for sharing that. I have been driving for over 40 plus years. I hope I pass the test when that time comes. My license doesn’t expire until 2025. Congratulations on passing.
Thank you! I think you will be fine as long as you do it before they expire. Mine had expired on my bday and I forgot so I thinks that's why I had to do the test. However, I would double check just incase so you can prepare yourself because I was not lol!!
