I've never wanted a HC to succeed more than I want it for DQ. I'M ALL IN FOR DQ.

This is the most under appreciated factor in what could make this team’s immediate ceiling higher than is being forecast. Forbes, St-Juste, Jamin moving to edge rusher, etc.

Great analysis of bsj by logan. Hes got all the measureables and skills to be a great corner. He just seemed to not know what to do at times. Thats either a product of not being able to retain coaching instructions or just having never have received them. I would tend to agree it was the latter.

Jahan will have a great year. Everyone knows we had a passing game that could barely get a pass off successfully last year. Terry also will have the biggest year of his career

I remember that it was said a CB took about 3 years to become elite.

Can we talk about how the NFL schedule makers apparently still have a grudge against Washington? 3 years in a row with a Week 14 Bye. It's like the league is thinking, "Hmmm.... How can we possibly make this harder and more physically taxing on this rookie 2nd overall pick?". They know Snyder is gone right? Lol

I don’t think size is Forbes issue, it's his discipline & football IQ.Rivera thought he was pro ready turnover machine because he played in the SEC.
Forbes is very similar to Trevon Diggs in his rookie year.Diggs struggled his rookie year because he wanted to be a turnover machine & struggled with eye discipline & was getting burned his rookie year.
The switch turned on, when Quinn took over as DC in Dallas.Diggs played more physical & sound.Diggs tackling is not the best still but he’s a better player no doubt because of Quinn.

Hi Craig and Logan I hear alot about can they win 7 or 8 games with the new talent brought in from the way I see it is we could have won 8 games with the talent we had in 23 if we would have had an OC that would have run the ball alot more instead of passing so much everyone knew what we were going to do what do ya'll think of that

Also you can tell by the way Forbes walks, he's not doing himself any favors. He runs and walks flatfooted. Walking flatfooted doesn't activate your calves and thigh muscles, which explains his extremely skinny legs. Sometime on staff needs to get him pushing off the balls of his feet everywhere he walks all day every day until it's second nature to him

Rivera was just simply out dated & bad at evaluating personnel.
Rivera thought Jamin Davis was pro ready & could be Luke K in his rookie year.
Rivera also thought Emanuel Forbes could be a pro ready turnover machine he end up benching him during the year.
It’s not Adam Peters or Quinn fault for Rivera failing to develop players & put them in the position to be successful.
However, I do believe Jamin Davis,Forbes & Jahan Dotson will make that jump this year.

Forbes will never be a number one in the nfl. In other leagues i could see him being the most dominant corner in that league(cfl, usfl, etc). In the nfl the best i think we could hope for, and maybe even this isnt realistic, is a number 2 corner. Number one corners can shut down the other teams best player. That will never be forbes. Nfl players are just too big strong and fast for forbes to consistently lock up.

@@theestlouis1 yeah I don't think hater is the correct word. I like the kid, think he as a great skill set, and wish him great success. Saying someone is a number 2 corner, even number 3, in the nfl is a massive compliment. He's one of 100 in the entire world. He's just not one of 32. Most aren't.

@theestlouis1 I’m hoping he proves everyone wrong this fanbase is so quick to bash a player if he doesn’t come out of college and immediately look like the best ever let’s see what he does with an nfl DB coach to my knowledge the guy we had last year was a high school coach before being with us

@@dominicdeshazo2285 dude... How is saying, someone is so elite that there aren't 100 other people in the world that can do what he does, considered bashing him? I hope and expect him to play well this year. Force is mass x velocity. He doesn't have the mass to impose his will on the dk metcalfs of the NFL, no matter how much he hones his technique. When a school bus and a motorcycle collide, guess which one wins every time... I have no doubt Forbes can be a great player if used properly. That is not as a number 1 who will lock down the opposing teams best receiver. No matter how much we may want it, it just isn't reality.

Forbes is too small. He will be a CB2 at the very best in his career. WR1's are going to cook these corners. BSJ is concussion prone so even if he decides he wants to be as physical as asked which hes kind of soft if we are being honest, he will be gone by week 4. Surely they looked at his history and saw that right? Michael Davis had a terrible season last season. Idk im just really finding it hard to figure out why you would pass on a top corner in the draft when you need a CB1. And not only did you pass him up, you traded the pick to a division rival.

    • @robertborgeson1821
      @robertborgeson1821 4 месяца назад

I agree we desperately need help at outside corner. Granted he did have a down year last year, I think Davis might be the best outside corner we have for what DQ wants to do. Bsj looked really good coming out but it's been downhill since. I wonder if the injuries combined with the clown show just took his heart from him. I mean who wants to risk their long term health just to fail anyway? Maybe JW can get him going again. I agree with your sentiment about outside corner but I didn't see dejean as the answer. My thoughts on him were in a zone heavy scheme you can play him anywhere, in a man scheme you put him at safety or slot. So in my mind he didn't solve our outside corner issue. I actually even liked the trade. I think Mike S will be really really good. The problem is that it didn't solve our outside corner situation and now we have a log jam at slot/overhang. Mike S, I see Forbes as a slot, chinn, Quan, Davis/our athletic linebackers, and the 2 rookie safties we brought in. That is a whole lot of talent fighting for one spot on the field. Sorry for my long windedness. I look forward to your response. HttR!
