That live fire really brings a unique flavor and that Versa Lid was definitely a game changer in a cook like this Greg! Just a fantastic way to cook beef......or anything! I really enjoyed the video Bud! Cheers and have a great Sunday!
I always enjoy these videos. I'd really enjoy, as I'm sure others would, see a valuation of your cooking equipment collection. Like the car collector channels do.
I will try and put something together for you, Mike. Lately, I've been kind of culling the herd, I've gifted a few cookers to some very deserving folks out here.
@BallisticBBQ and I'm sure they were greatly appreciated. My interest stems from the quality equipment you procure. Having spent a large portion of my life as a chef, I love great equipment. It doesn't cover up poor cooking, but it certainly is fun to use.
Greg i love all the sht youve introduced me to over the years. I feel like youre a friend without being over at my house tryina steal my food. Ive tried many of your recipes. Good work man.
You seemed a little disappointed with the result. Hopefully, that's not the case. I have the say the brisket looked amazing and definitely enjoy the hot and fast brisket flavor. Cheers!!
Sup Greg, wow, interesting cook bro, so juicy, bet if chop I could eat it myself lol, my brother taking over the grilling and BBQ, have to show him the versa lid, he's playing with brisket and pork shoulder a lot lately, found butcher in mass that supplies restaurant he works at and gets deals, smaller ones he leaves longer to shred and chop for me, well everyone gets BBQ sandwich lol. Think that versa shield will come in handy with lot of cooks, keep it up brother, tyvm tc 🍔🥩
@@BallisticBBQ you as well bro. I'm doing best can, some of the meds and treatments harmed organs, but staying strong for family, hope your family doing well also, happy family means more off-road grilling with jeep and friends lol. Like to see a bbq burger, and BBQ surf and turf videos with buddy's potluck? 🤔, Enjoy brother, will always appreciate what you've done. Tyvm
@@ronaldyeater3322 We had the Jeep and trailer fully loaded for a seven-day Sierra trip. Then Hurricane Hillary started up the coast, and the media freaked out. Turned out to be a big nothing burger here, even though we were in the red zone, but we decided to play it safe. We were more concerned about flash floods in the desert on our way to the Sierras. We were very bummed! There will be more trips though.
@@BallisticBBQ that's a shame, but better to be safe, strange tho, with all the technology today and weathermen can still get paid for failing lol. Hope have the time to actually go, saw the damage hurricane did, its unfortunate but lucky and safe, be great to get some footage when go, take care.
My pit temps were in the mid 200's F. I did not measure the direct temp from under the brisket.
That grill is sooooo BADASS! Thanks for sharing, Greg!

Do you prefer the lonestar grillz or the sunterra Santa Maria grill
Looks great! What is that devoxe that you are wearing? I have been seeing a lot of my favorite content creators wearing them lately.
That's a Rode Wireless Go II. I've had it for a while now, but just decided to play around with it to evaluate whether or not to stick with it.
@@BallisticBBQ Thank you for the reply. Thank you for the great content on your channels.
That looks really good! How long do you rest it when you're not making a video?
Usually 3-4 hours in a cooler. Thanks for watching!
Speaking only coming out of right channel. Was listening with only left and thought audio had died.
Yeah... Thanks for the feedback. I was trying out a new mic system and will be going back to the old one.

What was the rub you used?
Black garlic rub by Fire and Smoke, he mentioned that at the beginning.
@@David-burrito no, he said Fire and Water which I’ve never heard of so that’s why I asked. Thanks.
@@MH-yu5yp oops, now I gotta go back and look! I read the transcript, maybe I goofed. I'll be back!
