I loved your story Mr. Van Praagh. I have talked to a few mediums that say I am clairaudient, I just let fear as a child block my abilities. If I meditate as you did , will my abilities return to me? I do hear voices on and off and feel my angel guides around me. Thank you for all you do .
I read meditation books every morning, before I start my day and have done so about ten years now. My question is this when I go to read my books a thought might come in and when I open a book what I was thinking about is on the page and it kinda of scares me, because I don't know what that means and why it happened.

I loved being around people that were close to crossing over as a volunteer in a hospice and as CNA.I felt like I was blessed to be there to share such a personnel experience like a birth of a baby. And it is in a blink of an eye we are gone! And every person that crosses over has spirit's help then thou. I know this because the always talk to them before the go. And if you watch there facial expressions you can see that they are looking around into the next place and how beautiful it is!!!! They look amazed!!! I miss doing that . Maybe I should go back to that.

Oh my James, Love or Fear? I'll make this brief. I didn't become fully in touch with my true spirit until after being introduced to the Edgar Cayce material back in the early 70s. I have always been full of love and now at 66 years of age, can say I also learned how to overcome all my fears and phobias as well through the E.C. work. But, if I do an honest life review, I see that I've been an opportunist. While overcoming my fears, I also put myself into close proximity of those who could help me achieve my goals. I dedicated my life to serving others, but at the same time, I wanted to elevate my own status as high as I could during my stay here on earth. Oh, what a paradox. I feel as if I spent my whole life building a comfortable nest for myself to sit upon in my old age. I'm pretty sure it wasn't ego driven, but I'm also quite enjoying the fruits of my opportunistic moments. I find myself wondering if there's something more I could be doing now other than serving on the advisory board to young people? Blessingsand thanks for being a beautiful light for this world.
WOW! This information really struck a chord with me. Something told me to get online and look you up on youtube. I had a LOT of experiences and a child. They frightened me and I learned to tune it out and SHUT IT DOWN. I had a near death experience a few years ago and since have premonition dreams (be it 9/11 or friends that are pregnant and they don't know it yet). Reached out to a childhood friend that lost her father because he wouldn't stop bothering me in my dreams until I gave her his message. To learn she was struggling with alcoholism and really needed to hear from him. (He stopped coming to me every night after I found her and delivered the message). Empathetic feelings that can be overwhelming in some areas. To the point that I have to leave. I keep feeling 'nudged' to learn to open myself up or to be more aware - during my waking hours. I feel ready to learn but also a little overwhelmed. Besides meditation (which I do but not regularly enough), I don't know what the next step in my journey should be. Light be with you James! Hi James, thank you for such informative information. I came across your video by coincidence...oop's sorry there is no such thing....see I'm learning ! haha! I have since childhood known I'm different having had an encounter with another worldly being (well 5) in fact. I was 5 years old and very frightened as their energies were of an evil nature but two angels came and covered me from head to toe in an invisible blanket of pure love and safety which did not go down well with these beings. They never came back. However since then I felt I had a duty to help protect vulnerable people and the Earth. I get given cryptic message; am led to certain information and people and now campaign against certain issues. This has brought ill health, separation from family, poverty and injustice's against me. Fighting adversity nearly every week, month and year but I'm compelled to continue. The past year though has been very tough on me having been diagnosed with a brain aneurysm and I called out to ask for help as I didn't want this spirituality hanging over me any more....I fight against it now but then I came across your video by accident and wonder if there is some meaning to this because I feel drained constantly fighting against adversity. Thank you so much James for this amazing video. I wanted to share my experience in regards to past choices. I was brought up in an ethnic family to believe the most important things in life were other people opinion's of you and that other's needs were always more important. That happiness was putting others first. And today after having left a marriage of 28 years and quite a lot of soul searching I can say, I learned that most of my choices in the past had been fear based. But listening to my soul gave me the answers I needed to take back my power and believe what really mattered was me. My heart, my life and happiness. That my life was too important to keep giving away. But making this major life changing decision did have an impact on me. My friends chose to no longer keep in contact and my family told me it was my problem to deal with. But no matter what the consequences, I received the biggest blessing in my life. And it came from a choice I made based from love. Now that I know better, having changed my beliefs, my choices will always come from a place of love for the rest of my life. And I do believe, that now I am aligned in my "natural state of being" I will find the love,happiness and life I deserve.. Thank you.

I find that fear blocks the ability to function in the light. I had that experience last summer snd I knew it was an issue. But I kept reminding myself I’m in God’s hands and He has a plan. And yes the plan was great as I followed my intuitions! I hear those voices guiding me but I don’t see the person. Thank you this was perfect!
James ~ upon my look back at my life all my choices were out of what I thought was best for me at that time, what I wanted, out of love. I believe my choices were for a reason and that reason I strongly believe has been answered in the past 6-7 months, since August 2016. So much has changed in my life and 2017 is a year of ALL changes and NEW beginnings for myself and my family. Life is not and will not be the same as I've know for my 40+ years. A god way to develop your abilities is to find a development circle in your area. It's a group of psychics and/or mediums who want to develop their gifts but have difficulty doing so on their own. Ask at your local New Age bookstore if they know of a development circle in your area. Good luck on your journey!

I would like to know what it means if one (myself) is already happy and spiritual free and content but experiencing my empathy towards the suffering of animals, as a blockade to remain in a state of happiness or bliss when at the same time our innocent sentients (furbaby's, marine mammals etc.) suffer so immensely in a life of hell between birth and death due to mankind. Compassion and empathy seems to keep me in what I would call prisonlike but should it..., and or how would it not? The animals' pain is to be my pain as it always will be due to love.... Can one only be spiritual free if all is free and cared for? Thank you again, my appreciations.
+excarnivor When you have such a strong calling to help animals, it must be part of your soul's blueprint. Do everything you can to help animals (time, money, activism) because it is obviously part of your karma.

And today after having left a marriage of 28 years and quite a lot of soul searching I can say, I learned that most of my choices in the past had been fear based. But listening to my soul gave me the answers I needed to take back my power and believe what really mattered was me. My heart, my life and happiness. That my life was too important to keep giving away.
But making this major life changing decision did have an impact on me. My friends chose to no longer keep in contact and my family told me it was my problem to deal with. But no matter what the consequences, I received the biggest blessing in my life. And it came from a choice I made based from love.
Now that I know better, having changed my beliefs, my choices will always come from a place of love for the rest of my life. And I do believe, that now I am aligned in my "natural state of being" I will find the love,happiness and life I deserve.. Thank you.

so james plz help me i just got some bad news from docs and been told i got so much going on in my body. that this lupus also kicking my butt!! i had a NDE 3@half yrs ago which inb the dream i lost my husband which i lost but doc has said my body is shutting down im numb right now so how do i prepare for home? so much?

I find that fear blocks the ability to function in the light. I had that experience last summer snd I knew it was an issue. But I kept reminding myself I’m in God’s hands and He has a plan. And yes the plan was great as I followed my intuitions! I hear those voices guiding me but I don’t see the person. Thank you this was perfect!
James ~ upon my look back at my life all my choices were out of what I thought was best for me at that time, what I wanted, out of love. I believe my choices were for a reason and that reason I strongly believe has been answered in the past 6-7 months, since August 2016. So much has changed in my life and 2017 is a year of ALL changes and NEW beginnings for myself and my family. Life is not and will not be the same as I've know for my 40+ years. Weights have been lifted, lights have shined, and my Angels are calling and I must learn all I can. I must continue to learn all I can, from you. So, thank you again! Cheers!

A god way to develop your abilities is to find a development circle in your area. It's a group of psychics and/or mediums who want to develop their gifts but have difficulty doing so on their own. Ask at your local New Age bookstore if they know of a development circle in your area. Good luck on your journey!

James, thank you. I would like to know what it means if one (myself) is already happy and spiritual free and content but experiencing my empathy towards the suffering of animals, as a blockade to remain in a state of happiness or bliss when at the same time our innocent sentients (furbaby's, marine mammals etc.) suffer so immensely in a life of hell between birth and death due to mankind. Compassion and empathy seems to keep me in what I would call prisonlike but should it..., and or how would it not? The animals' pain is to be my pain as it always will be due to love.... Can one only be spiritual free if all is free and cared for? Thank you again, my appreciations.
+excarnivor When you have such a strong calling to help animals, it must be part of your soul's blueprint. Do everything you can to help animals (time, money, activism) because it is obviously part of your karma.
+James Van Praagh Thanks James, but what you suggest, I've done that for the last 15 years very intensively, and only became even more sad and hopeless due to all the animalsuffering that exists on this world. If you don't mind me saying so I just don't understand how anyone can be joyfull living in a world that provides terror for these innocents that are only full of gentleness and full of love. +excarnivor You can't save all the suffering so don't put that on yourself. Do what you can do. I do love animals and I'd rescue hundreds if I could but it's not feasible. I rescue who I can and love them
