    Interesting tear-down video of the D-328, thanks for posting this! XHDATA uses Silicon Labs (now Skyworks) DSP chips for its products. The 16-pin DSP chip that you mentioned 3:00 is the Si 4825-A10 chip, which is designed for mechanically tuned radios. The D-328, D-368, D-901 and the new D-219 models all have the same DSP integrated circuit.

    Excellent video.
    Looks like a fairly beefy [ by today’s standards] ferrite rod in there.
    I’ll have to investigate this model.
    The D-808 is outstanding.
    📻🙂

    Thanks for the inside look of this great little radio. It’s build quality is not bad at all. Hope you were able to put it back together. If not, it’s only $15-20 loss.

      Внешне да. А вот материал на котором изготовлена плата весьма разочаровал. Гьетенакс. Со временем и при попадании влаги либо при перегреве при пайке дорожки от него начинают отслаиваться

    It's a nice radio. I have been using it for three years to listen to shortwaves. Works Amazing. I recently bought xhdata D808 ane I found xhdata d328 is actually equal and sometimes better on shortwaves.

    Does the D-328 have a display for its MP3 section?

    Is this model repairable

    • @TheRadiogeek
      @TheRadiogeek  4 года назад +1

      If you have the right equipment and skills you could repair it. This radio is about $15 or less so it maybe cheaper to replace it then to repair it.

    I was stoked to see that lipo cell phone battery.
    you smack your lips every time you pause. just an observation. I appreciate the video. Im going to hack mine into a vacuum tube clone of something I had when I was a kid.
