3MG Please read this, they songs make them stronger so switch to your song but holding L2 then right stick and then Left stick scratch but remember to hold L2 and you have to do it before they hit you, just for heads up for later on in game.

Tip : Put your money in marketing you have a good chance to hit platinum and get a huge amount of money I believe getting hit songs is the way to get more fighting styles too. Also set their royalties to 20% but accept all of their demands so you keep your artist happy
*they made this game more realistic with fighting like actually being on the streets in real life along with the DJ mechanics thats what ppl didn't understand about the game because they was so use to anime/ cartoony vibe from the other games....this game really isnt bad i actually enjoy it minus the dj mechanics in the game*
The dj move is like environmental attacks when the beat drop it makes stuff around u do things if your opponent is close enough he a get hit or launched if near speakers hope this helps👍🏾

you on RPCS3 yeah ? then you should hit on the GPU Tab - Write Color Buffers and Multithreated RSX tick it , and Shader Quality on High or Ultra (what you Prefer) , then if you wish this Game should be faster go to the "Advanced" Tab and then to VBlank Frequency and change it to like 70 till 80 (What you like) and then you good to go. I went back and played it and I liked it not the best def jam but is not a bad game at all just gotta be patient learn the mechanics and the controls and you are good to go. Get the game before it gets to expensive for the collectors or emulate it. 😅
