My Father did the same joint account thing, I got an inheritance at 16 and he convinced my mother that a joint account was a good idea so he could watch over my money. Turned out what he was actually doing was using it as a free money bucket and because I wasn't 18 I had no ability to create an account on my own or stop him, he essentially made it so I had to ask him whenever I wanted to use any of my money, and because he was abusive he would only give it to me if I promised never to give my mother any of it, despite the inheritance coming from her mother. He eventually drained the account dry, on top of getting money out of my mother, despite her mother telling her never to give him any of it, he ended u with more then half. I don't take to or interact with him anymore as I just hate him. This was one of many things he did to make me hate him.
Just wait until that father tries to reach out if he finds out op has children and wants to play grandpa only to be denied and slapped with a restraining order and denied grandparents rights over the evidence op has that his father is horrible who House is probably a death trap
Story 1: The father is a sociopath, possibly a psychopath. -His son nearly dies because of his neglect, and he just brushes it off as nothing. -His whole thing about violence is well past toxic masculinity because even most testosterone-fueled alpha males are smart enough to recognize that threatening your boss (regardless of who they are) with violence if they don’t give more hours won’t just get them fired, but also arrested. -At least the OP had his aunt and grandparents (the father’s sister, parents, and former mother-in-law) backing him up. -The grandparents (the father’s own parents) must be completely ashamed of their son.
And yet, when it said that you got to be violent to show people, who’s boss and all that, if OP would’ve been violent with that psychopath, one of two things would’ve happened, either a he’d call the cops because he was being attacked because it sounds like he likes to punish and pick on people that are either physically or Weak to him either because of certain situations, and if somebody that was stronger than him or say, was more successful, and did that he would literally be a coward and seriously call the cops or the worst case scenario, he would probably kill OP and not think anything of it except good. I killed the mistake now to hide the body and pretend it never happened. That’s the type of danger that if anybody would ever ever say violence to solve problems, he is an example of do as I say, not as I do because literally, he would literally be calling the cops are killing somebody if somebody actually laid hands are actually punch the guy.
I swear that the dad in the first story was so abusive that he makes my old man look like a saint. It was bad enough that he criticized OP for dropping out of college and treating him like a disappointment but then he decided to tell OP to do something that would get him into a lot of trouble, not just legally, he didn’t care when OP almost died because of his negligence, saying that OP would have deserved it along with everything else that he did to him and then if all that wasn’t enough he decided to say that OP was a mistake as OP was moving out. Quite frankly if I was in OP’s shoes I would have turned around to look at him before stepping out of that door one last time I would have said “the only mistake I see here is that mom chose to marry you. Enjoy dying alone you jackass”.
@@smalcheems well consider this an expression of how anyone feels about this guy, he doesn't need to see it to know people are cursing him for his entitled behavior.
"One of those contry people who heats the house with a furnace" ... Bruh? Uh... Even the most advanced central air systems, like full on HVAC, still use furnaces.
i feel bad for op, that his father mistreats him so much, i'm glad that his grandparents and aunt are there to defend him against his father and now i want a life with him and his grandparents.
First one pretty ironic to call your son a disapointment if the dad is the main disapointment he might as well cry in missary after op lives better and away form it
I will second that diagnosis, even though I will make the safe assumption that you’re not psychologist, neither am I. I didn’t live with someone exactly like that, but I lived with someone who had very similar tendencies for, oh, about 14 years, except it wasn’t there 24 seven until the very last year. You poor, unfortunate thing, I can understand the eggshells living with volcano stress that you were probably under. Don’t listen to whatever your father says, as I like to say, can you spell projection for me? I use humor to deal with a lot of things, self deprecating or otherwise.
The first story sounds like an anime plot lmao 1. 19 yro male high-school drop out 2. Abusive father with mafia leader tough guy act using the 'now I got you scared' line 3. Mc nearly passes due to abusive father's negligence 4. Heaven sent maternal grandparents saving mc's life and proceed to attack abusive father, offering mc a place to live and continue to fight abusive father. . The second story sound like an experience with cave men, I mean they just surrounded the ops coworker arguing about the bill like monkeys to humans about food.
First story is literally the guy making himself look bigger than he is only to be scared into backing off, the coward in any movie or story, but in a parent role xD
It sounds like the last guy might suffer from bpd at least. I had an ex friend who became my abuser because of it and how he would say the same things, etc.
*Story 1:* Talk about a fucked up father. I don't know why anyone would have a child if he's going to belittle him throughout his childhood. Good for OP for leaving. If only there was a way to separate from him financially. No one should be forced to have a joint bank account with someone who's going to control you like that. I sure as hell wouldn't.
It sounds like OP might have (un-diagnosed) mildly been on the spectrum. That can often mess with your thoughts making you doubt yourself so much that simple things can be a challenge - especially with low self esteem. Dealing with that with no diagnosis is bad enough, its worse in bad cases when 'so-called authority figures' just put you down throughout your life ("You are a waste of space!", "Worthless!", as well as their favorite line "You should have been drowned at birth!").
story 1 I would SUE HIS PANTS OFF for the money he took AND THEN SOME MORE FOR EMOTIONAL DISTRESS! that was NOT COOL plus O P NEEDS TOO GET HIM TAKEN OFF THE ACCOUNT ASAP!
17:22 i don't see any mess ups the only mess up is not telling stuff as soon as it appears i only see a mess up from her side silent treatment is childish as hell she's not worth man

He needs to be in jail for all of his neglecting of situations.

That father is the devil no ifs ands or buts about it.
I hope he never has another child again

To the entitled father when you're laying on your deathbed and wondering why nobody came to visit you know this is why is because you're horrible.
he aint reading this

Story 3: OP needs to grow up a bit more before attempting things with people..
fr though.....I get being shy and insecure but OP isn't emotionally mature enough for a healthy relationship.
No kidding. Talk about way over thinking a situation.
2:39 that's kinda childish and toxic
Kinda?! That's well past toxic masculinity and just being a straight-up psychopath! See my comment above.

Story 3 the op is acting like a kid. Grow up some dude.
He's really making things hard for himself, with no need whatsoever. He gets too much in his head.
