Nice job, I got my motor in and mounted on my kayak. I tried it out twice already. It runs really good. It goes about 4.2 mph. I would send you a pic, but RUclips won’t let me.
For larger batteries, look into, " kayak outriggers stabilizers " , or make it with large PVC pipe. I would mount the batteries on top of the out rigging brace to keep pressure off mounting screws on kayak from pulling out. To also keep the plastic kayak mount from pulling out, cut a slot just under the inside of the kayaks track mount, and, insert flat stock to match, install self tapping metal screws. You can also seal the slot holes to keep water out.
