You’re not alone in the creative burnout. I’m there right now, too. My 9-5 involves creativity and my emotional outlet has always been doing creative things…so when one gets the focus, the other suffers. It’s def hard to find enough balance to be inspired outside of work. I hope you find a balance that works for you! :)
i think everyones super burnt out post pandemic too :/

I'm a fulltime corporate digital marketer with freelance side clients and try to still have creative personal projects, and it is SUPER taxing after a while. I'm going through a similar thing, rearranging my schedule and adjusting what and where and who deserves my energy!

I just put in my 2-weeks notice at my job! While I love it, it has completely dampened my spirits . It’s so important to take care of yourself and well-being. I wish I had listened to my body sooner. I’m on the journey of starting over and re-inventing myself. Thank you for being so open and transparent, it makes me feel less alone. Btw, I can’t wait to see you at the meet-up. Now I have something to look forward to next month! 😃

I just left what I thought was my dream job that I had for two years because I was completely burned out. I didn’t set any healthy boundaries and once I realized it, it was too late. I had to be done. Take as much time as you need to reestablish those boundaries for yourself. And know that you could literally post a video of Leo walking around your apartment and we would still watch🤣 much love to you girl💗

Those of us who truly support you should be understanding/not have an issue with you bringing up your experience with burnout & whoever doesn't wanna hear it can leave tbh. I think its important for you to share whatever it is you want with us, and if being real about some struggles is part of that.. so be it! I know firsthand how much burnout can f*ck with ur head & impact ur phsyical health as well. So, good on you for setting boundaries with yourself and figuring out how to manage ur situation. Being motivated is a feeling - which *remember* are fleeting! They'll come and go like the seasons and we have to learn how to adapt & reasses what is best for us in that moment. Don't be too hard on yourself girl ❤️

I really relate to this. I really enjoy vlogging and the community aspect of it, especially documenting my studying journey. However, working a 9-5 and studying is already a lot and I just don't have the capacity for RUclips as well right now. As much as I would like to do everything, that's not possible for me right now, and that's okay.

Do you think it’s possible to do content creation and RUclips part time? From what I’ve seen when it comes time for creators to “choose” between a 9 to 5 and RUclips it always seems to go in one direction, so I’m curious
