Theres both references of each game, one of Machinarium's thought bubbles has the island from Samorost; and in Samorost 3, after you use the horn on the grassy highs at the start; The Black Cap Brotherhood is heard.
Also at the end of Samorost 3 if you go to sleep after beating the game in the dream you can see Josepf. And the Robot in the Castle that was stolen from his home planet is from Samorost 3 which proves that Samorost 1,2 and 3 happened before the story in Mashinarium bc the robot is still on his planet in Samorost 3
Now I'm going to have to play it again! Even though I'm dreading the "Go" game in the bar :( And the "Disarming the bomb" part :(( But... I think those were the only two puzzles that pissed me off the most. Otherwise a truly... No, wait. There was the "Three wrenches in the plumbing" puzzle to flood the pool part. :((( Thank goodness grass is now legal where I live.
