- People, today, I’m in Argentina. Well, friends, we’re now again in Latin America on our way to check out some slums. This neighborhood is called Villa-31. Villa is the Argentinian name for the kind of slums they call favelas in Brazil, or barrios in Venezuela. And here, they call them villas.
People in Argentina love their freedom so much here that they have an entire neighborhood where people don’t pay for anything at all, like electricity or water, and where they don’t have any official title to their property, but nonetheless, they keep building one hut on top of another, which is how this huge favela district has come to be.
And also I visited the neighborhood which is called Constitución and is located near the train station.
So let’s see it. Yeah, all the stuff you like to hear about, I know.

Y'all complaining about the original audio with subtitles, but honestly it's not that bad. I listen to the videos without being able to actively watch. Besides, the guy's voice isn't that bad. Instead of yelling at them to just change the whole thing he has going on, perhaps ask if it's possible to either upload two seperate videos if it's that wanted, or if they have the ability to do so, seperate audio streams (like what Mr. Beast has, for example).

Anton, the Paraguay isn't the poorest country in latin America. Bolivia and Venezuela are much poorer.
The music in the videos has always been really chill. I am curious, since I'm not too familiar with the genre, is the music that's played generally from the same region/country that Anton is visiting? If not, it would be awesome to hear that along with all the visuals.

Im from DC... recently a politician WAS CARJACKED, straight up 5 minutes from leaving work, these guys stole his car and took it to maryland... i think they ditched the car after they realized whos it was but no one was caught. Crime like that is not uncommon, although ive never felt threatened even in bad parts of DC

I did a 7 week study abroad program in Argentina last summer. The country and people are beautiful. I felt safer on the streets there at night than any major US city. Walk in a group and in the right areas and you will be fine.

I was going to say please don't film the prostitutes and where they live without their permission, but I see the girls knew how to handle you. You do great work showing different perspectives around the world, but when you go back to your home, these girls stay in these dangerous countries. Filming them could lead to horrible people finding them. Many prostitutes are runaways. They're friendly with locals for protection just in case anyone comes sniffing around looking for them.

I used to live there (yes in that neighbour) and las villas are so much worse.
US is big and different states are more dangerous than others and different cities as well. I'm sure Russia and other many places are the same. Where I live we don't need to lock our doors at night.
why don't you visit Detroit? we got good pizza (hungry howies detroit style pizza for example) and you can run red lights legally at night because of all the car jackings. 7 mile and 8 mile need lawnmowers.
edit: also the stores have bullet proof windows inside, and a spinny thing to get your items in and out. and all the houses have armored doors. that's always neat for people who aren't used to it.

Hey, things have gotten worse since I last was there, but this is not the reality of it. He is putting together different shots, add "danger music, and he tells what is going on. Listen without sound...There is crime, there is a lot, but nothign like it is portrait here. The majority of these people are workers, honest people, but poor. Same in Brazil, there is crime, there is fear, but on occassions and not everywhere. See the fabella in the morning, with thousands of "legal" people going to their jobs...I got lost in Chicago and finished in the wrong places, and that was scary, nothing in comparison with anything I saw,,,But not everywhere, perhpas this is more for those who have not travel much, ignorants about the reality of other places and making money on people;s fantasy about crime...
