i like how theres basically no penalty for missing the double boost, you just get slow for a bit and then its back to regular gameplay

Quite alone in specific levels there is a small punishment although it clearly is not, Final Judgment and Arsenal Pyramid when you miss the song has no vocal and instead you get the Instrumental while against the Death Egg Robot your only punishment is having to get a little closer to repeat the moment... @@Chipmania42069 IIRC the off-vocal is played every time you double boost, but with vocals is only in two moments.
The DOUBLE Boost is the equivalent of Sonic Unleashed Boost
When Sonic was putting all his effort to save the world from real danger and used rings to unleash his fastest boost speed without needing any wisps

I LMAO'd at the Death Egg Robot when they failed. Sonic didn't even say anything on that second attempt! He was just like, "I can't believe these guys failed right when I said all of that. Let's just get this over with."

so fails removes the spindash noise, a couple other noises making just a simple high-five, and no vocals
And it doesn't allow you to be even faster than in regular boost

I just played Sonic Forces for the first time and when this happened, it felt so awesome. Something like this needs to be in the next Sonic game
This is genuinely such a pointless part of the game that has no penalties to it at all and makes the game play itself, so uh yeah I’d rather there not be something like this lol
@Oxbow it’s called the Mach speed sections of 06, except those (dispute the glitches) had effort put into them
@@bluerious5475 I think if they're going to ever bring it back, it should be a gameplay mechanic and not a scripted action (having to charge it up with rings and unleashing it whenever you want), You should be penalized for failing it (if you can just take off without correctly doing the prompt, it's kind of pointless)

I like how the vocals completely cut out if you fail, but it could certainly be better. Here's my idea for a new Double Boost "failure" in it's first level...if anyone's still here:
Both Sonic & the Avatar trip up, but their boost energy forces them to go at insane speeds. This ends up with both being basically dragged by their own boost, losing rings as the painfully skid their way to the top. Once they're there, both uncontrollably spiral downwards and die upon impact with the ground. Thought it would be pretty funny.

Double boost is when sonic can't be bothered to jog with his rookie buddy anymore so he pulls rookie along at 1% of his speed

@@FireBlades Really gets the noggin joggin, doesn't it? If fans know what's best, they should just make their own games with the ideal Sonic gameplay they want, and actually support said projects. Lake Fepard's probably the most memorable example, with his Spark series. Freedom Planet too, I guess, whenever its sequel comes out.

The final triple boost is better than the rest of the double boosts, because IT IS REQUIRED. You can't beat the game without it.
