For some stupid reason, our stores only bring in garlic in the spring. I put mine in the fridge for about 4 weeks. Fingers crossed that was long enough for it to vernalize properly. It is just now sprouting, I'm so excited. I will save some back and plant more in the fall at the correct time.
You should have covered more about vernalization. Its necessary in my zone. I MISSED my fall plant and have bulbs but you have to similate cold weather.
We're a little late to the game on garlic, but I wanted to give it a shot - thanks for making this video!

All the best! Like I said any garlic (naturally grown best) will work to plant just look for big cloves.
