Hey Esk8omg ;) fantastic, great to hear from you again. Yeah it’s funny I’ve got 4 x Verreal RS’s and I share the wear and tear amongst them all that particular hibiscus deck (earlier cut out shape deck one I’m keeping like newish ie collectors for good and not really hitting it too hard I just love that look that deck the whole feel of it, I suppose over the years I’ve kept a lot of the Boards I’ve reviewed I haven’t really sold one so a lot of these boards only get ridden … hmm .. maybe three times a year max…. This RS is still my favourite board to ride I just love that 39 inch deck the width of 9 1/2 inches perfect size for super good carving just love the whole truck set up super reliable smooth Controller big fan of the Hobbywing it’s just a pleasure to ride carve on it great board to show pony my riding when I get on that thing, The trouble these days they’re making the decks too big too wide too heavy too chunky too clunky and I really think we’re going the wrong direction losing the whole spirit of skateboarding riding ie big mountain boards like riding boats Lol .. I suppose each to their own though ;) thanks so much my man for awesome feedback have a fantastic weekend cheers Andrew ⚔️
Great video!. Im surprised how well the wheels were balanced, maybe because the tyres are such low profile?! I just put 8" tyres on my evolve which looks to have the exact same rims and it shakes ferociously (wheel balance weights are next for me!). Also, with the tyre direction, with the rear tyres on backwards, you might keep the motors a bit drier, but youre pumping that water into the centre of the tyre which will seriously reduce the grip in the wet and cause the back to slide out especially when under power?. Centrifugal force should cause the water to mostly spray radially out from the tyre anyway, and not sideways towards the motor surely?
It's much easier to fit the wheel pulley and belt without the wheel fitted then your brass washer then the wheel, with the pulley's with 2 bearings you can tension the belt without the wheel fitted also so much quicker.
