I had a friend that was rear ended at traffic lights 3 separate times. He was a long distance rider and always traveled solo. Lucky for his wife. That GS probably went together super fast at the factory. What a send off bike for you to work on.!! Hopefully RE will be your next bike company to grace your lift. 🤞🤞🤞
Happened to me when I had my GSXR1100. Five in morning heading down from Katoomba, pulled up at set lights in Liverpool, woke up 3 days later with just a few bruises. T'was a hit and run so never caught anybody.
With the BRP thing ... I was always taught 'under promise, over deliver..'. It's no excuse to say 'Things happen' when you under deliver, especially in todays very competitive market. Look what happened to your BMW franchise. You've been in this long enough to know, if you say somethings available, when it's not customers will quite rightly have their say and quite rightly so.
The title got my attention, "The GS Motor is Going in..!!". Halfway thru the video, and its is still sitting on the jack. I know motorcycle mechanic rates in my area are in the $150 / hour range. I hope you were not on the clock for this fellow.
Shawn would be on the BMW flat fee, it wouldn't matter whether he took 3 hrs or 3 days to do it, he'd get the same payment, I wish he was my mechanic, what he doesn't know isn't worth knowing, brilliant at his job 👌👌👌👌
I was the passenger in my friends car that was rear ended by our other friends in their car when I was still in high school back in the late 70s. The car was going 80 mph just before impact, he had but a fraction of a second to try and brake. The force was enough it layed both of the front seats we were in back until they were laying flat against the back seats. They weren't reclining seats. I had whiplash and had to wear a collar for about a month. I have had back and neck issues my whole life that led up to having paralysis of my left side back in 2012. The surgeons managed to regain the use of my left side (shoulder and upper arm) with spinal surgery. Before the surgery and months of recovery my left arm just hung like a limp rag. I ended up taking early retirement in 2019 due to my neck and spine continuing to deteriorate. I feel fortunate to be able to ride today.
Man when those engines are out and assembled they’re big….Have a great one👍
