This cross is stunning... it has so many layers. And you make it so easy! Let me tell you something... I started beading in 2008/9 (didn't go very far with it but have retained basic skills), and have paid for pdf directions that were so hard to comprehend, and paid for video tutorials that were not half as detailed or in focus, or up close so we can actually see, as yours... and you're doing it for FREE. It blows me away. I really do appreciate your talents as a teacher and a beader, that you are sharing it with us.
Amen to That 😍🙏😇
Wow! I could watch this forever.
These crosses are beautiful Ms Gina God bless

Gina this is a gorgeous cross set, I love it. Will have to make this.💖
These are stunning! Wow I am amazed at your ability to create a design. I also enjoy your conversation when beading. A lot of the time you make me smile. Thanks for sharing this pattern. I am definitely making these. Your choice of colors is fabulous!
Awe, you are sweet❤️ I am truly happy you enjoy my chattering dialogue...LOL, it truly annoys many people...ha! Oh well.🤪 have fun with these!
I am so excited .. can’t find crosses on you Tube like you do, and you explain it better then anyone on you Tube.
Thank you so much ... more crosses :)
I try to design crosses all the time, but I find it difficult to make them original. The easiest way is RAW or CRAW, but that has been done a million times. So, when I finally come up with something a little different I post it.
I really loved results and it looks a bit complicated but when you explain it comes so clear . :) Made my first set in Emerald with 3 mm Peridot . Next one depends of 3 mm ,I always miss suitable 3 mm colour . I have to learn to shop better ,not only with my colour craziness ,I take this ,this and this and ......
Soile Ilkkala I know, I do that too, then I try to mix and match colors in different sizes and I can’t do it. I need to think when I shop, but I don’t.😜
Seriously Gina, you r the best, keep um coming nothing needs to be said!!!!!!! You r the s--t!!!!!! Slimkim from MI
Thanks! You are the s**t too! Not the kind that stinks though😜🤪
Your designs are always so beautiful and your tutorials are easy to follow. Thank you for sharing and for helping me learn to do something I love so much!
You are very welcome, thank you for watching!
Great tutorial thank you
This is really lovely I like the ornate look. I was astonished at first when I saw the beadwork you do. I would have thought (if I hadn't watched your tutorials) that the cross was made from long rice type beads or tubes, it never ceases to amaze me how you make them look so gorgeous (I make jewellery but my beadwork isn't anything like as good as yours but I always keep the ones I like in my playlist because a lot of the stuff you make appeals to me...What I mean is the stuff you make is very much the stuff I like to wear. ..so I will keep practising xx
Awe, you are so sweet! I enjoyed your note. Thank you. I am very happy you enjoy my videos. I always feel like people are going to think my stuff is stupid...LOL. I am always shocked when people like it. Again thanks for the nice words. Get a pile of beads out and go for it💕
Thank you Gina
Wow! Luv, Luv it! I thought the cross set you did around Christmas was beautiful, but this set is gorgeous.
NJ Tappe thank you, I actually started this design before I made the other one but had some design issues. So, I put it aside. Then I got sick and just didn’t finish it. But, this weekend I picked it back up and finished it.

Hello, so nice to have you. I am truly happy you are here and have enjoyed this video. I am always here for questions or a quick chat.
Absolutely love the design but I think I'm gonna use a stop bead. As I'm sure you know, it's a bit of a struggle just to get the pattern right and tight enough as a beginner 😊. Thanks for the tutorial!
Yes, takes a little effort, but i know you can do it🌹❤️
What can I say but WOW!! Love it love it👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏THANK for sharing 😁😝😁
You are welcome, glad you like it😀

Beautiful Gina💖
Thank you!
HI Gina, I love this cross set you are making. I wish there was a way to get printed instructions, but that would I think so hard for you to do, well lol, I guess I can dream love everything you do Gina.
Donna Campian I am sorry, I barely have enough time to make videos, so written patterns are just not feasible. I am sorry🙁
HI Gina, oh gosh Gina I did not want you to take me seriously at all. I know that when one is so busy how could there be time for something like that. I really enjoy all you do. Thank you Gina take care and hope you are doing well. Donna
Donna Campian actually,I really do wish I had the time to write down the patterns, I just don’t. You would be surprised how many people ask for written patterns. So yeah, I took you serious LOL 😜😀
This is so pretty
Thank you!
It's very beautiful.

Karuna Shetty you are very welcome.🌹
Anyone else always have trouble getting their first try to turn out just right? Ugh. Practice makes perfect though, right? Thanks for the beautiful cross tutorial!
You are welcome, don’t give up, it will come together for you💕
Hard to believe this was 4 years ago
I had a hard time making this. I will try again.
+Faileas Creations yes, please ray again, this one can be a little difficult. ☹️
Gina!! Wow you outdid yourself and your method of teaching is so easy to follow. I had to laugh cuz after you added 2 sets of crystals onto the cross arms I was already thinking of trying 15/0's to hide the thread path and then after the next 1 you mention we could try adding 15/0's. I love how you chat as you bead too and laugh at yourself sometimes. I can't wait to try these. I collected crosses in real jewelry for along time now and I can make 1 for myself and to sell. Thanks so much again for your clear and easy to follow instructions. Again you're a superb teacher. I do have 1 question do you prefer nanofil to fireline? Im a fireline gal so just curious if nanofil is better or stronger? Sincerely, your new bead buddy Melissa Doucette from Florida
I definitely prefer Nanofil. I like Fireline, I used it for years, but Nanofil is smoother, stronger and smaller in diameter. Because it is smaller you can use higher test weights, which is stronger, and still sew through your beads many times without filling them up too fast. Try it, you will like it.
@@GinasGemCreations thanks ill definitely have to give nanofil a try. Much love
As usual, I love your work! Call me lazy, I only wish one thing and that is you'd list the Toho bead number so it's easier to find in my stash...just sayin'. 😘.
LOL, I would but I don’t always know the number and I like to encourage everyone to use whatever they have on hand.😜
Hello again Gina!! Sorry I have another question: I noticed that in your videos you don't knot the tail thread or secure it by weaving in; is this going to hold up?. It's just that I've always been taught to leave enough of a tail thread to do half hitch knots or to secure it by knitting the 2 threads after you make your initial circle. I'm just curious as to how well it holds up. Thanks so much for all your hard work you put into your awesome tutorials. Sincerely, your new bead buddy Melissa Doucette
I don’t usually knot the tail or initial circle because the knot blocks the beads. I sew through and secure the initial stitch. Depending on the design or stitch, I find that by the time I do the stitching through each unit, it is very secure. Sometimes I knot, sometime I sew the tail back through, but most of the time, I find it’s secure enough and I don’t have to knot. I sew through my beads a lot, my pieces do not fall apart.💕
Love it!
loretta goclowski I am happy to hear that😁
Gina's Gem Creations I have been away a lot, my 14 yr old cat was sick and died two days ago. I have been and am very sad. Don't when I will be back on, but was glad to see this one today. How is your friend Chris from England?
lovely
Mia Hamilton-smith thank you!🌹
Lindo obrigada por ensinar 😍😍😍
You are welcome🌹
Very pretty. Could you tell me what colors you used for the 11/0 and 15/0 seed beads.
Nancy Ctaver the 11/o are metallic bronze and the 15/o are galvanized aluminum (silver tone)
I'm new at this and absolutely love watching your videos. I have a couple of "newbie" questions...
When you put the four bicones on the base of the cross you said three wasn't enough and four was a tad bit too much. Could you make the base 7 beads tall instead of just 6?
When you worked your way back to the top to add the bale you went around the 6mm bicone in the middle. Why not go straight through it?
xoxo
+Bobby McGovern Hi Bobby, you can add or subtract as many beads as you want to the bottom of the cross, artistic license, it's in your hands, if you see a better way, try it!
Too many beginning Beaders believe that they have to follow a pattern exactly to make it work. The pattern is just a map, you can always take side roads. if you see a better way take it. Or if you just want to add your own touch to it, do that too. As far as the way I sew at the end, you can travel through anyway did you find will work, without leaving a lot of thread in something other than the original thread path.
This set is so beautiful. Will pearls work also?
Cindy James try it, you never know, it might work great!
stupendi bravissima
Thank you!🌺❤️
What is the name and brand of camera you use?
Canon but I also have a JVC, I use both.
Very pretty, but to many beads for my taste.
Okay...
Irma that's a very rude thing to say! Maybe you can do better? Lets see it!
