I always sided with netero, when I was watching it as it just came out, my heart was pumping like crazy, I just didnt want netero to die. So here what I did is that, made the netero win with the last blast and satisfied myself...

I bought the last manga book, because I finished the Anime and wanted to see what was up next. I'll be honest, it was more like reading a book then a comic book lol. I pretty much understood what was going on, but I definitely had to reread some parts. Your English sounded good homie!
Guillermo Almendarez Neteros bomb wasnt in malice, it was simply a last resort. He was at peace with his own death, no malice there. As for gon, it wasnt resentmet but grief. Grief at the fact he lost his beloved teacher and grief that he was lied to when he put trust in someone, even an enemy. If it was as simple as resentment he wouldnt have been crying while in that form. Those were tears of loss. Yes he felt he had to avenge kite, but it wasnt done out of hatred. Gon is the exact opposite of that.

Another thing to consider, while it is true that Meruem was getting "slapped" it's also true that he did not care about getting slapped since he was not taking any damage, i personally think that also Royal guards would take little damage but they could use a different approach, Meruem was not even trying to dodge.

Pitou's reaction in the anime is a bit misleading, in the manga she does not say Gon's equal to the king (which makes sense because she does not know how strong Meruem is), so adult Gon has very little to no chance of beating Meruem, especially since Gon is rampaging and Meruem is a genious, even if we assume even speed and power it's still a loss for Gon 99% sure.

He was around 65-75 when Zeno was born, which was the last days of his prime. Peak at 60ish. Zeno is 65-75 making Netero at least 125+. Began training at 45 on mountain, came down 5 years later. What's more impressive is that the Budda is a emission, conjuration and manipulation Technic. Netero being an enhancer means the budda is only 60% of its full potential. He does use enhancement to increase his speed to begin the budda attack. You may think it falls under specialist but author states Netero is a Enhancer. We also know that the amount of aura a person has the better their overall defence. Meruem having the most amount of aura seen, Netero second and Youpi third. Prime Netero would have at least double the reaction speed/attack speed and defence/attack power in the fight plus at least double the aura (Zero hand). Meruem states that the pray is the only thing Netero had that greatly out classed him in speed. If all of Netero's abilities are doubled i don't believe Meruems strategy's will prevail before Netero deals a significant blow to Meruem. To argue for Meruem, post rose Netero would lose as Meruem more the doubles his EVERYTHING.
The degredation of Netero's abilities is relatable. It's like a very technical software developer suddenly placed in management position. You tend to get very rusty and it happens quickly. You can see the big difference in what used to be and what could have been if you had continued the technical path.

We also know that the amount of aura a person has the better their overall defence. Meruem having the most amount of aura seen, Netero second and Youpi third. Prime Netero would have at least double the reaction speed/attack speed and defence/attack power in the fight plus at least double the aura (Zero hand). Meruem states that the pray is the only thing Netero had that greatly out classed him in speed. If all of Netero's abilities are doubled i don't believe Meruems strategy's will prevail before Netero deals a significant blow to Meruem. To argue for Meruem, post rose Netero would lose as Meruem more the doubles his EVERYTHING.

The degredation of Netero's abilities is relatable. It's like a very technical software developer suddenly placed in management position. You tend to get very rusty and it happens quickly. You can see the big difference in what used to be and what could have been if you had continued the technical path.
