- Robin of Sherwood is s British tv series telecast on HTV. This tv series based on the fictional character Robinhood. Robinhood is a superhero who help the poor peoples in Nottingham. He fights for justice. Robin had a crew Little John, Nasir, Friar Tuck, and Much. They are friends of Robinhood. These gays are fighting against the Sheriff of Nottingham. One day robin attacks the sheriff's castle. When the attack he finds a place to hide. This time he saw the lady, Marion. Robin and lady Marion love each other's whole story. Herne the Hunter is the god of the Robinhood series. Hurn rescues Robinhood's soul many times. This is a summary of the robin of Sherwood's story.
The series had 3 seasons. The whole season's episode air time is 1 hour. This Robinhood is a legendary Robinhood series worldwide success. In 1984 Richard carpenter made this legendary Sherwood hero Robinhood, for tv screen. All the Robinhood actors and actresses are done their job perfectly. Robinhood cast still looks gorgeous in our hearts of every Robinhood fans.

This, to me, is by far the best version of the Robin Hood story. Also have to say that nobody could make a better Maid Marion than Judi Trott. She has such a natural and fresh beauty, at one with nature. Michael Praed is also perfect as Robin. All in all, however, a superb cast and crew collectively. I have all three series on DVD and have just started watching them again as the series provides escapism from the rubbish on TV today.

I still have the old vhs tapes of the full series,how nostalgic, it was true escapism, from thatchers Britain, and I was robin with my Marian, a young man of 22,with all my hopes and dreams how I loved to visit Nottingham. Castle and the trip to Jerusalem,but nothing is forgotten, no thing is ever forgotten.

I just finished watching Season 2 and started the first episode of Season 3. So sad they replaced Robin. Michael Praed was wonderful as Robin. Miss him already.

Michael left to do a stage play in usa. He was playing D'artagnan in it and it did not do well. They wanted the series to go on so looked for a new Robin but to play the incarnation as you know of Robert of Huntingdon.
Did you know spiteful puppet they have a Facebook page, instagram, website and have brought the cast back since 2018 to do audio series to robin of sherwood. Some are set between episodes des of season 1&2 some season 3 and they did a season 4. Some are also in books but many sold out but audios available. All cast alive did some of them. Some tales one cast member reading it.
I know what you mean, but I love this show from start to end. The Jason Connery era has some of my favourite episodes 👌
One of the 2 or 3 best programmes ever. Unbelievably well written and well constructed using many of the names from the original legend stitched together cleverly with history and other legends in a seamless way. Even the way that they replaced Robin with the Earl of Huntingdon's son has relevance in the legend and is totally credible. Such a shame that when Goldcrest collapsed, we didn't get the 4th series.

He was my favourite character as well. No idea at the time that he would become the RAY WINSTONE, one of our greatest actors.
I'm Canadian, and when my sons were very young, this series replayed here. I'd seen it when it first aired, and I knew they'd love it. They're 39 and 40 now, and we still talk about the show and we've rewatched it a few times.
My oldest son's favourite character was Nasir. My younger son's was Jason Connery's Robin because, at the time, my son also had long blonde hair that he would not get cut. My favourite character was Will, played by Rsy Winstone, who went on to become RAY WINSTONE. I had no 8dea at the time thst he'd be the biggest actor to come out of the series, but when I've rewatched, it's pretty obvious that he was the best actor in the cast. And he gave Will a depth that the other characters didn't quite have.
Yesterday was 40th anniversary of Robin serial... I met THEM ALL ! AMAZING EVENT !
Original Robin, Michael, Will Scarlett (the magnificent Ray Winstone), Nasir, Gibson (RIP). Big John. Tuck and Nicholas Grace. Loved this growing up in the 80s.
Iconic TV show..! All the cast were excellent, I actually got to meet the late Robert Addie, who played Sir Guy of Gisbourne. A lovely man in reality..! and nothing like Sir Guy. I remember he was guest of honour at Wotton Under Edge wool sack race's in Gloucestershire, and he actually had a go with a large sack of wool on his back, I remember everybody shouting.. COME ON GISBOURNE..! as he struggled up the hill with the heavy woolsack on his shoulders..! At that time he was one of the best known actors on TV.

Michael Praed will always be my Robin and favourite character followed by Ray Winstone as Scarlet. I loved all of this cast and wondered if they would do a remake. I did buy the DVD the lost script. But so want it back on TV again.

It's amazing that most of the actors are still alive and look so well! They have hardly changed at all. I am SO glad to have been young while this show was on! Purely magical. I have watched this series many times. We were so little when this was casting in 1990s. Till now this is a best series with adventures, love, action, curiosity and fun ever watched. ❤ And also our enemy “Gisbon ” is not there anymore 😢.
Best of the best series for me too. I still watch it even when I am a Father of two children and I had seen it when I was a child of ten. No boring, from beginning to end of each serial. I love it and my favorite is Michael Prayed, the Robin 1. Thanks for your upload.

Michael Praed was in Emmerdale until very recently. A character called Frank Clayton (2016-2019).
My top three British series are: this Robin of Sherwood, Red Dwarf and Monty Python (not really a series).

Best Robin Hood adaptation ever! Fantastic cast, I can't even choose may favourite character, because I liked them all: Robin, Marion, Scarlett, Little John, Brother Tuck... Even villains like Sheriff or Guy of Gisborne were played fantastically. But if I had definitely to choose, I would choose Michael Praed and Judt Trott as best Robin & Marion of all times!!!

I absolutely loved this series. As I remember it, it was very well acted and it had a serious tone to it, sometimes also sinister. I'm from Denmark and for some mysterious reason this extraordinary series was never shown on Danish television. So I had to watch it on German television in the late 1980es. I was 10-12 years old and my German was not very good at that time 😁

And STILL - the best series on Robin In The Hood - ever. Since Robin of Sherwood was made - Hollywood has copied some of the ideas in this wonderful series e.g., 'Nasir' as a new member of Robins' Band of Freedom Fighters - was copied in several subsequent 'Robin' films and TV series - such as 'The Prince of Thieves' (played very badly by Kevin Costner).
