I finally met a fashion RUclipsr who values clothes. There are many channels that teach simple and sophisticated styles, and they all buy and introduce new products season after season, but something didn't sit well with me. No matter how many clothes I bought, I was never satisfied, but you gave me hints on how to create my own style. thank you.
woooow!!! this is the best comment I could wish for. That’s the reason I’m doing this and it makes me so happy to see people like you who appreciate my work🙏🏻😊 I hope this is gonna be a good start to your new style xxx
Your point about shoes is so true. I couldn’t work out why outfits weren’t working and it was because I didn’t have a good shoe wardrobe. I’ve worked really hard over the past year and have completed my spring summer shoe wardrobe and now have shoes that looks good with every outfit, are good quality and comfy! It’s taken 33 years but I’ve got there!
You should have many more followers! Your videos are so valuable and helpful. Instead of always buying new clothes it is important to buy the right clothes and combine them. This is what you do. Thank you!
I make sure everything I put back in my closet is ready-to-go, it makes life simpler. I get my laundry, ironing, shoe cleaning and everything done before I put the things back. I hated pulling out an outfit I wanted to wear and discovering a spot on one thing, wrinkles on another and dirt on my shoes! Now, I check everything carefully in good light when I take it off and try to deal with spots right away. For dry-cleaning only items, if you can get them in to the cleaners within 24 hours they can remove almost any spot, but after a week or two, it’s just too late. Plus, clothes need to dry after steaming or ironing or they’ll immediately crease back up and get musty in the closet. I leave them hanging in my laundry room with the fan on for an hour or two, or just overnight. Assuming no spots or grime, most of my clothes only get steamed and aired before re-wearing, except for exercise clothes, undies/hosiery and jammies, of course. I wash other clothes a lot less than I used to and never machine-dry them, so they look new for ages. Often I’ll only wear an outfit for half a day while I’m out, then put on a comfy house dress when I get home (with no bra!)
You are so right when you said that the shoes make the outfit! I also want to thank you for inspiring me to coordinate my dainty pearls with a dainty gold necklace. I have worn it several times and I absolutely love the look.
Loved your examples of just adding a small pop of color. I am a neutral girl but the green shoes with the black outfit is great and the all cream with the spectator ballet flats! Keep the examples coming :). Shoes are a fun way of adding interest away from the face.
Brilliantly explained as usual! I'm planning to go through my summer stuff at the end of the season and really think hard about what I actually wore. It may be time to move some stuff on rather than deferring the decision until next spring!
Great overview of a curated wardrobe and conscious choices. I love your style on you. And, high quality items. So many of your clothes and accessories have gorgeous details. That black slouchy bag with the dainty strap-links!
I upgrade buttons or make other small clothing tweaks a lot and I love to put my feet up and listen to a good history podcast while I do this, it’s relaxing.
Thank you so much, My Dear. That’s very sweet🥰 Yeppp, I edit my own videos, I don’t really have choice, but I can’t imagine trusting someone else with my blabbing🤪
getting a color analysis is the best thing i’ve done. i don’t even wear black shoes anymore - shoes the color of my hair are best. Warm Spring here🎉 No black, no bright white, no gray.
Your content is so helpful, so high quality, and so insightful. You've been instrumental in me reclaiming my style after I lost it to motherhood. Thank you!
This video really 'spoke' to me! I think I need a good long week at least to declutter and re-organise my wardrobe, especially managing and storing across the seasons when space is limited! Thank you for another great video x
I want a pearl necklace to go with my delicate gold necklaces but I dont know what size pearl to look for. I dont want to spend a fortune. Some pearl necklaces look too thick and dated or old fashioned but the pearl itself gives a soft vibe and stands out beautifully. I liked your example.
Excellent video, as always thoughtful, practically explained . It’s coming into Spring here in NZ ….I shall be going through my wardrobe this weekend checking how things are for spring , summer !!! Thank you Mariola 💜🌟🍒
Thank you so much for your comment and support🙏🏻 Your Spring and our early Autumn is actually pretty similar, so we can use inspiration from each other🥰
Hello Mariola, this summer i have the less items in my wardrobe and i feel so good about that. Because it's so easy for me to choose and i have clothes that i like.I am at the first step to start my wardrobe from the beginning. Your video would be so helpfull!!
Your wardrobe is always so beautiful but I must say that my wardrobe is very similar, I love the pure style and I care for my clothes because I love them. For me I love shades of brown like coffee brown.
Thank you so much, my Dear. My wardrobe is actually pretty classic, I think it’s the styling and accessories that transforms your generic wardrobe into something more personal and unique☺️ and yes, I agree, caring for your clothes is so important. But I guess if you love your clothes you do want them to last long and look their best!
Great video… I have some clothes that don’t go together and clothes that need ironing. And because I have kids I spend a lot of time outdoors and need more activewear clothing
I feel you. My girls are a bit bigger now, so I can wear more “fancy” clothes, but my younger still comes to cuddle and rubs her face in my clothes sometimes😁 but remember outdoors can be stylish too, thats where we fall into that trap and wear gym clothes all the time😘
Hello and thank you for such a lovely comment. Yes I love completing my outfits with perfume. I love Baccarat by Kurkdjian, anything with rose and oud, but at the moment I only use my new favourite H88 by Perfume Atelier London (prefer this one over Jo Malone Velvet Rose which I also have)🥰
Hello my Dear, thank you for your comment. I’m so sorry to say that these black sandals are very old and I can’t even remember the brand. I will look in my old videos and if I can find any info I will make sure to let you know😘
Thank you so much for your comment. I did say that and I absolutely stand by it. I think it’s because it’s easier to match it with my shoes, but also it gives me that high contrast that I like in my outfits. But I wear other bags too, just less frequently. My favourite atm would be darker brown. As for the chocolate brown belt - the most obvious and actually really nice match would be dark brown shoes, but I wear it with black or beige (nude) shoes. I don’t mind that they don’t match exactly xxx
@@SlowDownInStyle Thank you so much for your explanation! I guess I need to lighten up a bit. 😂 When it comes to jewelry, I wear a bicolor watch, if I want to mix gold and silver, so it's more harmonious. The way you explain it, such details matter a lot. For me, chocolate brown would also be a nice complement to navy blue. I already have chocolate brown ankle boots for autumn and winter. Thanks to the black sole, the combination with black also fits quite well here. The Monk in me. 🤣 What do you think about suede for shoes and bags? And what do you think about the combination with smooth leather look like?
I never feel like I have nothing to wear. I have a big wardrobe full of lovely choices. But, I only have those items for the current season out at any one time, that helps.
That’s another level😁 only someone who is very confident with their style and loves their clothes can have a wardrobe full of clothes they actually wear. thats amazing🥰
Absolutely! why not😊 I only choose cool shades of beige and I find I always look (and feel) better with some make up on. Besides, if you really like certain colour you can make it work😉
I know!! Even when I look at the clips I’m thinking “how do I fit my clothes in there”!?. But of course, this is only a spring/summer wardrobe and I’ve just taken some clothes to my local tailor (btw collected today and I’m very happy with the result😊) and had some washing done. But still, not a huge difference.
I admire your restraint and determination to curate such a functional and elevated wardrobe Mariola! 😅 beautiful pieces and great advice as per usual.. Thank you lovely!
I forgot to answer your question about the vest: yes 2 beige knitted vests. One is cotton from my previous video and the other one wool mix I actually took out from my winter wardrobe, because I like it’s fit and it’s not itchy☺️
I love your beautiful wardrobe and the care you obviously take of your clothes. You have great style! ❤ I watched your great video on buying second hand and would love to know approximately what percentage of your clothes are thrifted? Would you be able to do a video (or point me towards one if you have already done it) on how to care for your clothes, how to get certain stains out best, hand washing recommendations, etc please? I already take good care by hand washing woolen and silk items, de-bobbling etc but I struggle with sun cream stains or makeup sometimes, or oily stains from food etc and I’m always keen to hear tips from those who clearly take excellent care of their clothes 😂

Skip the dry cleaning, it is toxic and is connected to Parkinson’s disease.
What I like about this is that not everyone has the means to have a walking closet. But yours is so beautifully organized and simple ♥️

I love this idea! I just started listening to Pride and Prejudice while ironing, cleaning etc☺️
You're really helping me hone in on my style and therefore, de-cluttering my wardrobe so thank you!!
Another great video, Mariola. I’m definitely rewatching this again. Do you do you your own editing? It’s really well done and professional :)

After watching this helpful video, I am curious about your perfume collection. Do you use perfumes to complete your outfit? Any favorites?

great video, Mariola :) thanks!
could you do a video on styling your Birkenstocks - I feel a little lost about my pair ;)
Outstanding video
Love your videos. You showed 2 tees that had longer than normal sleeves. One white and one black. What brand?
Thanks for that really helpful video❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
You’re very welcome🥰 and thank you for watching☺️
Thanks for sharing:))))
Really good points! Great video!
Please, what is the brand of the black sandals you wear in 23 minute? Thanks
Hello my Dear, thank you for your comment. I’m so sorry to say that these black sandals are very old and I can’t even remember the brand. I will look in my old videos and if I can find any info I will make sure to let you know😘

Which shoes and bag do you combine with the chocolate brown belt? Didn't you recently say that you prefer black (for bags)?

I'm surprised you wear beige, being a Winter.
Absolutely! why not😊 I only choose cool shades of beige and I find I always look (and feel) better with some make up on. Besides, if you really like certain colour you can make it work😉
