I'm confused. So there's another wire you need to buy? One end connects to where the dummy plug was, where's the other end connect??

Yea, he didn't explain that very well. I'm guessing that the plug under the dash does not have power until you do that connection under the toolkit.

Yes u buy the 12v then i buy the 12 volt installation kit in ordered to install it. Its on the honda website

Some videos show the install at the dashboard only on the Transalp and it seems to work fine. Some with the extra connector under the seat. Im confused.

I had a bit of an issue with the panel plug/clips until I figured out that they could be pushed in to both remove and re-install them. So much easier once I took a minute to figure them out but otherwise the socket install went well. Now I need to figure out the heated hand grip install

I didnt take off the windshield or side panel, just the 2 screws and little plugs. Takes 2 minutes.
