Cork looks so much better than most carpets. I have to keep that in mind for when I redo my catwall. (I used an old yogamat mostly for budget reasons.)
Thank you for being so thorough with your explanation. I will be living alone soon with my cat, and I'm excited to start planning a WILD cat wall (or even Room?) for him. He will be very happy, partly thanks to you 🖤🖤
@bwibblesfritzragdollcats9781 Fantastic wall and you have a beautiful cat. I have a Maine Coon (9 month old and 11 pounds) Could you please tell me, how thick is the cork and where you bought it? What type of wood did you use for the shelves?
@@bwibblesfritzragdollcats9781 I saw a video where a guy took hollow core concrete blocks that each way about 20 pounds and he would stack up two of them, put an 8 foot pole inside and cement it in place. So you have this fantastic 60-70 pound base that is not going to go anywhere from a running cat jumping all over the place. I like that idea because I could nail and screw different configurations to two of those placed maybe 4 feet apart. What do you mean so I can envision it a little better? How is it safe with it not being secured to a wall?
@@ms22401gal If you build the unit so it wraps around a corner, combined with a heavy base, it should be tip-proof. The base reaching out in 2 dimensions will give it a lot of stability. Then you could use the ABS posts going upward and secure the shelves to the abs posts (like in my video)
The pole is plastic, and I have a cap on both ends. Before gluing the end caps on I also glued a piece of wood INSIDE each end cap. Once dry, i used a wood screw through the board on top (and bottom) through the cap and into the wood inside. That holds nice and tight.
I can’t believe at 4:18 she was looking outside and the chipmunk from outside was looking at her 😂
Nice job! Thanks for sharing your buy list!

This is awesome. Well done! Exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!

I like the extra wide shelves for a ragdoll. Mine actually broke her cat tree because she was too big :(
We haven't found anything prebuilt that's suitable to a big ragdoll cat...so it's time to get out the tools
She's beautiful.
Nice! One of my cats likes to sit on top of the fish tank too.
that is so adorable!! and Wibbles is beautiful!! I am a cat lover!!
Parts list part was helpful

Curious re: approximate cost of your project. The result is very nice. 👍
We spent approx $120 on the whole project
@@bwibblesfritzragdollcats9781 Thank you very much. I can’t nail into my walls so I am brainstorming.
@@ms22401gal You could actually achieve something very similar by using the pipes to create a floor standing catwall.

Can you come round my house and make me some lol
If you cleaned my litterboxes for a month I probably would :)
@@bwibblesfritzragdollcats9781 Deal!!
@@bwibblesfritzragdollcats9781 Speaking of litter boxes- what do you use for one? I find that even the XXL ones are too small for my Ragdoll!
I did exactly this and my cat won't use it at all.
A good channel.. I like your channel !
My channel is about cats too and dogs..
Salam sukses ya..
Amin.....
How did you attached the pole?

How did you affix the pole to the shelves?
I was thinking the same
Screw through the shelf.
