Very good upgrades and professional company. I upgraded my rear 8 year old springs on Nissan frontier which were only 3 leafs plus overload thick and i bought a lightly used new set of springs and because i carry 1000 lb of weight constantly i added 4 old leafs to the new leaf spring set and the truck goes over speed bumps way better, way less sway in the back in turns and i can carry a full load of wet firewood without damaging the springs. 1 extra leaf is goid to add to each spring if they are new leafs and if you carry loads often. If you add okd leafs i recommend 1 to 2 extra leafs to each spring set.
There's only so much you can do to improve ride quality, handling with a straight axle leaf spring, shock suspension. I went in a different direction, I went with the LiquidSpring 4 corner (front and rear) 5 link active smart suspension system. The leaf springs, shocks, and all existing hardware is removed and replaced with outboard of the chassis frame a strut suspension. The system analyzes vehicle speed, steering, ride height, braking and road conditions 1000 times per second, and actively adjusts and adapts in 40-milliseconds. The system uses a 6% compressible silicon liquid at 3000 psi. It makes my 26,000 coach truly drive and handle like a large SUV. Rough roads, bumps, crosswinds, railroad tracks, passing trucks, air push, etc is now almost non-existent. I can now drive 10 hours without being fatigued. Yes it's expensive, it's by far the best money that I have spent on this coach. I can even lower and level the coach.
Great video! Looks like you showed a few clips from the videos I've made. Curious, what do you do about the "Tail-Wag" on these F53s? Have you ever installed a SuperSteer Rear Tracbar?
Was just watching your last customer video review video! Haven’t installed a trac bar. I’m working on a big F53 video that’ll show everything we’ve done the last 6 months for these
Any chance of seeing lift kits or full progressive spring packs in the future? We love the Weldtec lift on our Class C, but if we ever replaced it we would likely move to a small class A. I’d love to be able to get similar stability and clearance to what we’re already used to.
Having had a 2019 F53 chassis, and spending a lot of money on upgrading the suspension, you will never get a decent ride / handling out of them, no matter how many "gee whiz" things you do. The only real option, for a F53 is a total Liquid Springs upgrade to solve all the problems the F53 has. We went through all the upgrades and finally traded in and got a Diesel Pusher - no comparison and stock, does better than all the upgrades we did on the gasser. Live and learn...
I have a 2020 Sunstar very like the one on your video. I don't really have a problem with sway or drift (maybe I'm just used to it after 25 years of motorhomes). But my problem is ride quality. On even moderately rough roads the bumpiness gets almost unbearable. Do any your modification address this on an F53?
I know this is an order video. But I have a fleetwood storm 32bh on a f53 chassis. I love it when we get to the destination, but it is a bare to gwt to the destination. I live in Minnesota so San Diego isn't a good location for me.
I have a 2012 with 14,000 miles and I have everything except radius system will this make a real difference driving this on the freeway only at 55 mph is not how I want to drive this rig very unhappy with my F53 chassis please help me I dump all this money on this chassis not good
We did add a progressive leaf to the pack? That is what a parobolic spring is, we also add arc to the spring to create an air gap to not make it stiffer untill a certain load is applied to that spring. Is there anyhting elese you would like us to clear up on this kit?
@@WeldtecDesigns The spring pack in static condition has engaged the extra leaf, so any progression has already occured... but thanks for the clarification.
Finally, some options for F-53s! That swerve test was pretty compelling 😮
Thanks Steve! We like to thoroughly test our kits!

This is going to be a game changer for the Ford F-53 chassis...❤
We definitely agree! These F-53s need some extra finesse to accomadate all of the different types of RVs that are out there.
So rad! Love to see these new kits!
Thanks! We do too! Stay tuned for more...
Woah, this is awesome! The amount of information you're giving out is incredible. Lots of details to take in!
Thanks for the feedback Marcus! Please let us know if you have any questions.

Yes we are building a full progressive set for these as well as some other really neat parts..... STAY TUNED

How about death wobble?

YES. outr 2.5 KIng shocks are just the thing you need to help make the ride better! weldtecdesigns.com/product/wtd-class-a-rv-f-53-shock-upgrade/
Pretty cool, are you guys using Deaver springs on this and/or the E-Series Class C chassis?
What do you think would be the approximate cost of these upgrades? With installation? Thanks. Great video!!
Do any of these mods increase the GVWR of the RV?
Nice...what is overall cost..for the parts and overall installation for the F 53 chassis

Does the 2” of lift create any issue with drive line geometry? Any u-joint angle issues?
Whats the price for everything installed?

San Diego!
👍🏻
Thanks for the support Danny!
Adding a non-progressive leaf to the pack - the even-stiffer ride must be brutal. No thanks.

Wont be watching again. You spent more time asking people to click and subscibe to you channel than you did on the main topic! Bye bye!
