Toxic diversity has nothing to do with racial equality or any equality or equal rights. Toxic diversity is divisive identity politics and the diversity being sought is in a homogeneity of propagandist thought. Different standards are applied that reduce any academic standard to the lowest levels so that a "student" is easily controlled, manipulated and exploited. Asian students in particular ARE being discriminated against. Students are NOT being admitted on academic excellence, achievement and merit but instead, they are being admitted based on "personality" and divisive identity politics groupings that are relativistic and subjective.
A great bill to write our Congressman is to award all citizens and perminant residents $25,000 in a lump sum anytime after 36 months of full time work, part time and volunteer work included in the total sum, for the purchase of a home, whenever the citizen is ready to purchase one. This is a Grant, not a loan. The dollar amount awarded is determined by the size and scope of the business and work experience. The citizen must spend at least 50% of funds awarded on their business or business related items. This is a Grant, not a loan. The printing and issuance of money is validated by any legitimate labor, production, goods or services for society. Also in the bill is a mandate on U.S. Banks to pay their depositers at least 90% of all interest collected, according to the monthly or quarterly average account balance, because it is the depositers money that was loaned out to begin with. Specifically, if you can discriminate based on race to achieve proportionate representation in your organization, why can you not descriminate based on religion. And what would that look like in your institution? (No Harvard man would even acknowledge the disproportionate representation of a certain religious/cultural group who excel on merit)

Do you think a group of racially diverse people who all grew up together in a suburban neighborhood will be more successful than a racially homogenous group that come from all parts of the social and financial spectrum? I would argue that later is the more diverse group. Or has "diversity is good" just become a truism that should be accepted and never questioned? The worst that will happen if Ivy League universities make academic capabilities unimportant in admissions is that obtaining a degree from one of them will no longer impress potential employers.

But as I see it today. it is doing a lot of harm to young people’s esteem to set them up for failure. Those who just needed a hand up can still go to lesser colleges with lower standardized scores and transfer to a top university. Their degree will be from where they graduate.
My old university (I don't think it's Alma Matter since I'm a drop out stat) once gave a speech about wanting more blacks and diversity (of course). In this they bragged they had managed to bring in so many more black students (by being extremely racist), then lamented how the black dropout rate exploded. They genuinely didn't seem to connect that bringing in unqualified students is just setting them up for failure.
Ivy League schools aren’t more rigorous. They’re just more prestigious and have great connections. So this idea that going to a less rigorous school is just so stupid.
The lawyer for Harvard's voice is Dry. He knows he lost and so do we.
How about just stop beating a path to Harvard's door? Stop going to school there.
If higher learning institutions use skin color and religion cult sexual preferences as part of the admission standards, then they should label themselves as political institutions.
Since when is diversity a requirement to get a degree?
The games they play.
The woke harvard of today is not the august institution of learning it was in 1636!
I am serious when I say this. Only reformed theologians could cast out the demonic possession of Harvard that exists today. The Puritans founded Harvard. Everyone should study the reformation from its very beginnings with Wycliffe at the University of Oxford to Oliver Cromwell to Puritans founding Harvard and other academic institutions in early America to today's reformers. A real education in so many disciplines. People would learn about the Guttenberg press. I could wax on. I remember the days when "higher education" was more than glorified and exorbitantly expensive insane asylums and day cares for diversity in skin, genitals and sexual practices.
@@margochanning6868 At last, somebody who values a liberal arts education. As a fine arts student, I learned a lot about the Guttenberg press in my History of Print Making class. (I also learned a lot about the risk reward curve and puts and calls in my Investments and Securities classes, which I took as electives.) Ah, those were the days. Well, the founders of Harvard may be turning over in their graves. Isn't it ironic that these university employees work so hard to discriminate in the name of racial diversity and work so hard to shut down diversity of opinion? They must be exhausted. Just listening to their lawyers' racing thoughts makes one realize how everything about them is on overdrive and gets them all tangled up in their underwear. Back home, we called this "no common sense."
Why not ask? Because it just might let in people they want to keep out.
Religious diversity is so important to Harvard that they don't track it to ensure they are maintaining religious diversity
Also in the bill the citizen or perminant resident will receive between $150,000 and $1.5 million in a lump sum anytime after 100 months of full time work, part time and volunteer work included in the total sum, for the citizens business start up or already existing business. Contact your U.S. Congressman or Senator for an exceptional bill in Congress.
The sad state of lawyers today, arguing before the greatest court on the planet, can’t remember to properly quote the court’s own precedent. Sad
In every public forum we must ask the questions that expose the irrational and adolescent worldview of the Left. Let the public at large recognize this nuttiness for what it is.
*WHY .... NOT .... ASK ... ABOUT .... CONSERVATIVE PROFESSORS AND STUDENTS !??????????*
Man, these justices are scary smart. No wonder it makes or breaks a lawyers (who have to argue) careers. And the mental gymnastics that these lawyers are going through makes me laugh.
lol, lol, I'm sure Kavanaugh is wondering how'n hell Harvard chose to send this neophyte to defend their nonsensical diversity program. I was waiting for the lawyer to respond with a reference to Harvard's use of intuition combined with students' appearance as to what religion they practice. LOL,
Who wanted this hearing and who is defending Affirmative Action. The Supreme Court already made their decision. This they are just going through the motion.
Way to talk around the issue. I'd prefer more direct lines of questioning to get to the same end to avoid misconception and eliminate squirming.
Specifically, if you can discriminate based on race to achieve proportionate representation in your organization, why can you not descriminate based on religion. And what would that look like in your institution? (No Harvard man would even acknowledge the disproportionate representation of a certain religious/cultural group who excel on merit)
At the bottom of every man made disaster lies a Harvard man.
I think Thomas Sowell said either that same thing or something very close to that.
(Not accusing you of quote theft.)
Or Yale.
@@johnla3092 actually the exact quote from Thomas So we'll is "In every disaster throughout American history, there always seems to be a man from Harvard in the middle"
@@jamesopiela Thank you, Good Sir.
I thought that was him. I have to say that I could not agree with the man more.
We all know why they don't ask about religion. They don't want us to know how many men with small hats they let in.
Harvard does not track religion or give it a tip because it disfavors religion. It’s ministry minsters to 27 kids from different religions. Harvard and other private colleges should, pay taxes for the privilege of being in A,Erica like the rest of us.
Has anyone ever offered real, quantifiable evidence that showed diversity was a net good? For example. given a task with various steps that lead to a measurable end, do "diverse" groups (in quotes since I've never heard a good definition of diversity) do better than homogenous groups? I know an argument was made by one of the lawyers that seemed to answer this question: He gave an example of a "diverse" group having more success in investing their funds than a non-"diverse" group. I think it was Thomas Sowell who said something like our strength is not diversity, it's the ability to get along despite it. See Balkans
this only get s' more and more painful to listen to with each justice....I think plaintiffs would easily have gotten brewers vote if he were still sitting.
HaHa Kavanaugh did a yeah yeah when that attorney kept talking about when should AA end.
Because religion is a choice....religion is not an arbitrary and unchangeable attribute.
Nice move by Kavanaugh here. He's getting them to equate their supposed open admission by race with their already preset open admission by religion. That lawyer had to work hard on his response
Kavanaugh’s question is of perceptually concrete minded instead of conceptual.
If a person asks “Why don’t you keep track of “Latin” acceptances?” Instead of asking do we only have a certain type of admission candidate, and what type of person is that? Is he a Harvard person? By virtue.
The answer *proves* it.
Boofers that like beer don't conceptualize
@Jim Book I wouldn’t look in the mirror if I were *you* I’d be frightened! You *steal* others’ books….?
You Have encouraged assault?
Similar to Such as that on Pelosi’s husband?
Just say you’re Native American, I here it has worked for others at Harvard.
Dear Harvard, please stop racially discriminating. Thank you,
I left who were my "brothers". I'm not returning.
The problem with this country is that we have too many intelligent minds that know so much about nothing and make what they think are " intellectual" comments in this forum to impress people , but I am not impressed. I bet if I ask everybody here to pinpoint the geographical location of Washington DC on a "contour" map of the USA without any words, nobody here could, I rest my case, if I am wrong, I am wrong!
these lawyers are exactly why america is sliding into the abyss
I would like to know what these "27 Religious Dominations" are?
Denominations
The worst that will happen if Ivy League universities make academic capabilities unimportant in admissions is that obtaining a degree from one of them will no longer impress potential employers.
Large US employers think like the Ivy League universities these days, so that won't happen across the board. But so long as government regulation is kept to a minimum, the best and most persistent young people of all backgrounds will continue to find their own path to success in the US.
@@kegaket6772 I was being cynical, but you are 100% correct.
@@Reach41 I understand. Elitist racism makes me cynical sometimes. But it's actions like this lawsuit that give me hope. I went to one of these schools many years ago on a scholarship. I'm not sure what they're doing with admissions these days, but I stopped caring about that school many years ago, ever since I came to the realization that I disagree with them on just about every subject that matters, unfortunately.
In Baltimore Maryland over 70% of teens entering high school can't read at a 4th grade level. I'm sure the same is true in most large Democrat run cities. Whose fault is this? Is it the students fault? Is it the parents fault? Is it the teachers fault? Why aren't people being held accountable for this failure?
depending on what the majority want to go for (ie Roberts) Kagan may just sign on
PROBLEM: Opportunities based on race, gender, and/or sexual orientation.
SOLUTION: Opportunities based on race, gender, and/or sexual orientation.
Funny how race becomes a factor to having the opportunity to pursue a higher education but does NOT factor into sports. They BOTH should be treated as color WASN'T a deciding factor
how to consider mixed race student half black and half Asian?
Lawyer sounds like Saul Goodman.
Like Destiny's Child song is entitled, "I'M A SURVIVOR!" I was born during a time when it was ILLEGAL for me to walk on certain sides of the street; enter buildings from the front door; could not go to school with Whites; could not drink from the same water fountains as Whites; could not VOTE; could not go to most state universities; etc. In other words, I have a DOCTORATE, A MASTER of SCIENCE and a BACHELOR of FINE ARTS from this same nation. So much as happened during my little life time. I will NEVER be afraid of speaking up for what's right or wrong. It was a nation of BLACKS, WHITES, and NATIVE AMERICANS who helped my people earn their freedoms. I stand with those kind of people everyday of the year, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. REAL Americans will always stand UP and speak UP for EQUALITY, DIVERSITY, and FREEDOM! 💃🏽💃🏽👍🏽👍🏽💟💟
To Harvard-- Diversity equal minority ethnic group or LGBT.
Personality interview score also rates applicant for integrity (honesty). Asian students as a group score lower than blacks, Hispanics and whites. As a group Asians score so low that it negates their high SAT scores. That is pretty bad for an ethnic group to be exposed by the interview to be in general so dishonest. So if all major US colleges use Harvard fair and valid method for scoring applicants can a company assume most Asians who are not honest enough to be admitted should not be hire. No matter how smart you are being proven to be dishonest is not worth the risk for employers.
Harvard said they have 45 religions in the student body, but are they proportional to the population makeup (like their race-based quota tried to achieve)?
Greta First question ! He replies "its already diverse" well if they stop Affirmative action there STILL would be diversity ..so ..there you go NO problem.. Also WHAT is the breakdown?
The question should be: "Do they really like Beer" ??
Harvard and rest of Ivy League aren’t what they used to be. It’s now overrated.
thats true.. why not asking about gender and religion and 100000 other things?
Impossible to tell what anyone’s race is anymore. everyone in the usa is a mix of races. This is absurd. They don’t track religions because there are so many and the student body is so diverse. Same with race-there is already a giant mix of races
If the religion is so diverse then why not track it so you like diversity so much?
Harvard and other discriminators must sacrifice their obo players and art museums and quit discriminating on the basis of race.
Bunk
Greatly values religious diversity. Yeah. Sure.
My speculation is that the final order will be more about how long they get to discriminate than can they.
Asians include people in Turkey, Iran, all the way to Japan.
You can choose your religion, you cannot choose your RACE....

Not on their question papers to get into their education about which religion ideas of faith and which they are of , or income to cover the bills of the education available to pay the cost of education , and if one has more money than they need to go to their education system doesn't get shown to the system of the school like a new part of the school to built bribe by parents?...
