I noticed some wood that looked like a softwood was used in the construction, I would be too scared of movement in softwood if I bought one of these. I have a table that was built in 1935 from English oak and black walnut, I had it deconstructed and rebuilt in my home when I bought it and the guys said it was as good and straight as the day it was made.
