No matter what Elvis was doing or where he would always manage to be home for Christmas... Graceland
20 years ago when I was a Scientologist, I was staying at the Scientology hotel in Clearwater FL. One night sitting at the coffee bar by the pool. It was just myself and a pretty young girl with her little dog. They had a karaoke stand and so I got up and sang two Elvis songs Teddy Bear and Dont Be Cruel. The young girl gave me a high five after and complimented my singing. The next day I saw the girl in the restaurant with Lisa Marie. The girl was Riley. I had no idea that I just sang 2 Elvis songs to Elvis Preley's granddaughter.
Amazing, perhaps you were singing to them from Elvis. What an awesome memory. ❤

I feel the same way I still hope that Priscilla is involved, because she personally spent so many years at Graceland and has so many emotional connections. She's the only one that personally new Elvis and his likes and dislikes. So I really feel bad if he isn't connected to any of it anymore

This stuff has nothing to do with her lol. Those displays & changes were launched in 2018 by Lisa with a $4BILLION dollar expansion. The wedding venue, cultural center, the new Memphis hospital she funded, plus she still funds all of Elvis' 100 charities he has funded since 1956- to present day. Like Elvis gave the money for the Kennedy center to be built, he built ST Jude, all those things he still funds. That's why Lisa was cash poor when she died. She pays for charity first then lived off of what was left.

See, with all that money they utilized to create new plans & places, which they have been doing - all that money that Lisa put into Graceland, and now Riley too, all of the funds they all use, they are also excellent tax write offs as well. Every bit of money they put into Graceland and for charities, they will all get to write off the cash they put into all of their charitable efforts, so it's not like they will be losing money! They will make money directly off profits, as well as get money back from the tax write offs they put into their IRS tax forms.

Elvis's legacy wasn't only a part of her mother's life. It's also, a part of Riley and her two sisters heritage as well. They should be proud. Elvis wasn't only a great entertainer, he was also, a wonderful man with a caring heart. Elvis truly loved ❤Graceland, and so, should his grandkids. Riley does the Presley's proud, and her grandfather would approve of her, planning all of this for Graceland's future. ❤

But remember, Priscilla cheated on him as well, and eventually left him and their marriage to be with another man. Elvis may not have been a good husband, but he did love his daughter, and was with her when he could be. Elvis was a womanizer, I agree, but in his relationship with Priscilla. They both played around with other people while still married. I don't see Priscilla as being innocent, and I don't believe she was a virgin, when she married Elvis. I think when she was 18 or 19, she and Elvis had sexual intercourse, but when she was younger. They did other things in bed to pleasure each other, but not intercourse, because she was young and underage.

She hasn't done anything yet! The big hotel was designed by Priscilla from the curtains to the floors to represent Graceland! Linda might want to tell a story about that too! Maybe something she has heard or read! Linda isn't Priscilla, she didn't grow up with Elvis, she didn't marry Elvis and she didn't have Elvis's only child! The only thing that they both had in common was Elvis cheated on both of them! The only difference was Linda lost her virginity to Elvis before marriage because she couldn't get him to marry her! I am so excited. I had resigned that I would prob not visit again after this past June, mostly due to Lisa’s passing. It has been a sad place for me at her memorial service and our yearly visit in June. All of the fans I have spoken with have all stayed the changes that were made in the past couple of years were not good ones. We all have noticed the sterility of them, and with the huge increase in prices it has become unaffordable for a lot of fans, especially the ones who come from over seas. I am def looking forward to Riley being in control. I believe she will do what Lisa would like the best. Go Riley!!! We all adore you . Praying for your family. Visited Graceland in late June 2023 and was more impressed with the complex across the street than Graceland it self. Elvis accomplished so much and so well regarded by everyone he encountered . From first coming on the scene to Army time and the rest of his career. in such a short career. 20 Years. I could have spent at least two days viewing all the commendations he received.
Thanks to Priscilla for keeping Elvis' memory alive by sharing the details of his happiest years of his life, those after he met and married Priscilla.
He was not happy after their divorce.
Much of his unhappiness was because of his bad health and bad eating habits. We still love and miss Elvis. ❤
@@dorarobertson3608 Dora it's because of PRISCILLA it was almost all lost. Elvis payed her THREE DIVORCE SETTLEMENTS. The last one the month he died he took out $1MILLION to pay her the last settlement.
@@dorarobertson3608 In Becky Yanceys book 'My life with Elvis' she openly tells exactly what the settlement was. She was the Accounts receivables/payables for almost 20yrs at Graceland. She was there from before the wedding (1964) until Ginger about 3 months before his death (1977). She talks about Elvis paid Priscilla a divorce settlement twice. He paid two different settlements. Priscilla moved into her 2bedroom apartment penthouse on the marina of Pacific Palisades with Mike Stone fulltime Feb 23,1972.( I am writing this looking at the book now) Elvis filed 11 months later in Cali on Jan 8, 1973. Divorce was granted October 11, 1973. On December 10, 1973 Becky Yancey says on pg.183 She wrote a $10,000 check for a New Jaguar, She picked the car out in LA & Elvis paid for it for her Christmas. Elvis was performing Notre Dame Univ. in South Bend, Indiana shortly after. He saw a jeweler in the paper J.R. Fox and had the jeweler shop for 4 bracelets ranging in $21,000 - $ 11,000. The Jeweler sent a salesman for 80 miles to Chicago and they arrived at the hotel in the middle of the night. Elvis was sleeping and Joe Esposito picked out the $11k Bracelet it had 7 Blue Opal Saphires, each surrounded by diamonds, set in seperate squares, linked with platinum hooks. Elvis told Joe to send the bracelet to Priscilla for Christmas. It says the following year (pg 184) he gave Priscilla a new fur coat, and she bought him a New Rolls Royce. For the following year everything Priscilla wanted she bought and charged and he paid the bills. On May 29, 1973 the law firm Tankel and Toll filed on behalf of Priscilla she was a victim of "extrinsic Fraud" that Elvis failed to make full disclosure of his assets to Priscilla. She had 6 months to file a complaint, and filed. 🙄 She claimed she was tricked into accepting $100k in property, $1k monthly alimony, $500 child support. She was not told by the family lawyer that she was entitled to one half of everything the attorneys claimed. Her new settlement was: $20kmonthly alimony, $2500 monthly child support, $300,500 attorney fees, On pg 186 says she received $6million Settlement, Half was paid by a lien Elvis took out on Graceland in 1973, the remainder to be paid over a 10yr period. In 1977 Elvis placed a $494,024.49 lein on Graceland. Vernon stated the lien was taken as collateral requirements for the settlement required to meet the California divorce courts. He said Elvis had decided to pay off the remainder of about $462,000 in the next three years. He stressed Elvis had NO Intention of selling Graceland. Elvis had been sending $4k support each month for Lisa, and after the change in Settlement she began writing checks as follows: two $60k checks for Priscilla, $40k check for Lisa, and after the first year one of the $60k checks were to be stopped. It lists her expenses she claimed itemized and she was close friends with Priscilla personally. She said for several years Priscilla would call and Vernon would have her sign over cars, horse trailers, equipment all to Priscilla. Priscilla continued to stop at Graceland when Elvis was gone for years picking up items she wanted or planned to sale. She even continued to Charge to Elvis up until 1976!! (Pg190) She said the charge accounts kept growing and she kept paying. She finally went to Vernon and showed him the recent months bills. Vernon horrified said pay the bills in full and cancel all accounts. She closed all the gas cards, department stores in LA & Memphis, AND the bills finally stopped coming in and Priscilla NEVER CALLED to see why. She said later she pointed out that Priscilla was still listed as beneficiary and in 1976 Lisa was placed and Priscilla was removed. 🤦♂️(April 26,1976. They were married 4yrs, 9months & 22 days. They lived together married just 2 years.

Riley is doing one of the greatest things. Graceland should be enjoyed! Elvis would be so proud of his granddaughter. Her grandfather inspired so many artists, set a Genre that can never be changed or forgotten. He was the best at what he did and he loved to entertain. I have been to Graceland 14 times and all 14 times. It is absolutely awesome it's actually breathtaking it's also awesome that Riley is making these changes. I literally had to hold back tears of joy at all of the spectacular changes and upcoming events (i.e., opening Graceland to the community for use of the fine Arts, free admission & events for special youth groups, special holiday events). Graceland's 2023 holiday events sound incredible for the Elvis fans, as well as the local Memphis community! The souls of your family's departed, must be beaming with approval.

I never been able to visit Graceland, since Lisa passing I been wondering what would happen to Graceland with out a Presley to care for it, But now I feel relief to know that Elvis Granddaughter Riley would care n love it just like Elvis did. Glad I ran into this video!

As someone who has been an Elvis fan for more than 50 years, I'm glad to hear that the future of Graceland is secure in Riley's hands. I do hope, though, that she doesn't ever open the upstairs to the public. Elvis always kept that part of the house private and it has stayed that way in respect to him, just as it should.

SERIOUSLY ?!! In regards to the recent s0-called Graceland Christmas !!! What was Riley thinking ?!! She has brought disgrace and disrespect to her grandfather and his beloved home. Allowing those interlopers to invade Graceland in such a manner ! It's sacriligious ! Allowing someone to play Elvis' piano! And some jerk jumping into the POOL! Has Riley no decency? Nor respect for her family in their resting place in the Meditation garden. And unbelievable it would appear, she has overlooked the passing of her mother and brother. Riley's actions are unconscionable! Lisa would NEVER allow such as that in her father's home. and let's be clear! It will always be Elvis' home in the hearts of his fans. No matter how Riley tries to turn it into circus/entertainment center.It's heartbreaking to see this happening. We fans and other family members are still grieving Yet Riley is ready to party down !! Inviting strangers who could care less about the man. Only his name. Using him for their own agenda and money. Does this sound familiar? (shades of Tom parker).Where will this end? It doesn't sound promising for Graceland in the hands of Riley. People/fans who truly care and respect Elvis and his home have said for yrs. Do NOT change Graceland ! I’ve actually been upstairs at Graceland and it’s one heck of a story. I’m an electrician and I was working in Memphis in 2002 when I got a call to do some work at Graceland. I arrived and this woman took me upstairs and showed me what needed to be done and then she left. I was working alone for about ten minutes when the grumbling began. I knew that I had to take a serious dump and quick. I was in what I believe used to be Elvis’ office. I ran across the hall into his bedroom and then straight into his bathroom. I dropped my britches and sat down with mere seconds to spare. It was a surreal moment as I sat there on the King of Rock and Roll’s throne blowing mud. I finished and went back to work. Nobody from Graceland ever knew about it I guess because I never heard any complaints. I really didn’t have any other good options and I did what I had to do. As a side note, I stopped eating Taco Bell for lunch on workdays that day.
She is a very smart and talented young lady. I’m glad the legacy will continue with a very bright daughter and granddaughter at the helm. ❤

I am 62 and almost got to see Elvis in concert. For my 16th birthday.The same year he passed. In Syracuse NY the state Fair. I was excited and saddened after hearing he passed. He would of truly loved. How things are going at his mansion I believe. He was a one of a kind beautiful person as well as his family. Thanks for what u all with Elvis and his family have done for Elvis. And keeping his memories for all his fans alive. It's been a treasure to see some of his family as well. Along the year's.

Even if you weren't a huge Elvis fan I recommend anyone visit Graceland you will come out with a totally different view of Elvis or at least be impressed by how humble in many ways this place is.

I think enabling the changes for the disabled to be able to tour the home is wonderful,,,, I just hope she doesnt change things too much,,, keep his bedroom, and bathroom areas forever private,, and even as her mom wished the upstairs to be.
