  • Indian Muslim Village Life (Not What I Expected) i visited the city of Ajmer in the state of Rajasthan India. Ajmer is considered by some to be a Muslim city famous for the Ajmer Sharif Dargah; the shrine of a famous Sufi saint Moinuddin Chishti a 13th-century saint and philosopher. The Dargah Bazaar is located within the city.
Ajmer Sharif Dargah is 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) away from the main central Ajmer Railway station and 500 metres away from the Central Jail and is situated at the foot of the Taragarh hill.

I am reminded of the Bollywood song, "First Class". It is one of my favorite songs. I don't understand Hindi as I live in the US and some Indian friends from my work suggested it to me. There suggested a few more but I only liked two songs.

It is great that you meeting all the different communities in India. India is very diverse.
I just watched you video on the Siddis in Karnataka. I posted the comment below and realized a lot of people may not see it as it was an older video. So I thought I would post again here again. So here goes......Not many people know this: The Arab Slave Trade was bigger and and lasted longer than the Transatlantic Slave trade. Long before the White arrived in Africa the Arabs were capturing Slaves in Africa. The Arabs did convert a lot of the Africans to Islam forever ending the beautiful African religions they belonged to. And then came the Christian missionaries to Africa and sadly the African religions that sustained them for millennia, lost forever.
The Arabs were the middle men in the trade selling from the African chiefs to the White ship captains. Sometimes they bought them from rival African chiefs or sometimes they captured them, themselves as they had gunpower trading with the Chinese. Yes, the Chinese traveled all the way to the Middle East in their boats to trade.(In Kenya a group of African living on an island north of the town of Lamu claimed that they had Chinese ancestry. It was long disputed before the advent of DNA analysis. When the Chinese decided to invest in Africa/Kenya they visited these people and conducted DNA analysis and sure enough it was confered they were telling the truth. Sometime around the 17th Century a Chinese trading ship encountered a fierce storm and ship wrecked on the island. Since there was way of contacting anyone they lived the rest of their lives on the island.)
The reason you don't see the descendants of Slaves in the Middle East is because they were all castrated. This was done to make sure they don't mix with them. Mecca was one of the largest Slave trade market in the world! These are all FACTS that you can research yourself. Saudi Arabia only ended Slavery very recently in 1960 from pressures from Britain. In the US different Christian sects fought intensely for the end of Slavery, like the Quakers. I believe they singlehandedly ended Slavery in the US and a similar branch in the UK. You may know the name of them being from theUK. .
There is a great movement to suppress this information from getting out. So make sure to spread the TRUTH!!! I think it is worse than the Transatlantic Slave trade and they forbid them to have families or children. I think that is incredibly cruel. And it took so long to abolish Slavery on that part of the world. Remember it was 1960 when it was ended in Saudi Arabia. Very sad. That was a very cruel part in human history. In the US we have the wealthy grand Plantation homes which serve as a venue for weddings, wine tasting parties, and many social events including operating as a bed$breakfast, so that Southerners can relive and romanticize that time. To me these Plantation Homes are Holocaust sites and they should be honoring the lives of the people who were sold into this awful system instead of literally dancing on the graves of Slaves. Most Slaves were buried right on the Plantation grounds in unmarked graves. Today a large tent will be put up over this sacred grounds for rich folk to dance away for a wedding reception). And maybe it is better, if it even possible to say that, that they were at least able to have offspring and today their descendants live a much, much better life, and the sacrifices were not in vain. Sadly in the Middle East that was not the case. Sadly some say a form of Slavery exists in that area even today. Employers hold the passports not allowing them to leave and they have to work long hours for little pay when you consider how wealthy their employers, Arabs are. Not long ago I read of a Kenyan woman that was desperately trying to get away from her employer. She had left Kenya a few months after giving birth to a child. Her employer in Saudi Arabia owned an expensive breed of dog. He demanded that she breastfeed the puppies and he enjoyed watching her do it. Since she didn't have any money for a ticket home as she sent all her home for her family, she was pleading to the Kenyan government to bring her home. Her owner was also holding on to her passport. Once the story broke and I believe the owner videotaped her breastfeeding the puppies there was outcry in Kenya to bring her home immediately. It is so sad that people do such cruel things. They say a few thousands of people dies when building the stadium and the other buildings for the World Cup. Many were from Nepal. Sadly Nepal is very poor but the people are kind, generous and very gentle people.
Oops! Sorry I got carried away...I was supposed to post a comment not an essay. 😂 😂
I hope the Siddi will prosper. I wish some rich folks will contact the young man and donate for him to get his radio station going.
ps..I forgot to add that the Suddis were brought by the Portuguese and are Christians. In Gujarat, they traded with the Arabs and that is how that community over there got to being in Gujarat. In fact a Hindu Rajput was so impressed with Slave that he had bought that he made him the Rajput of the Kingdom. It is great that they were not divided like today.
