Sonny is coming back. Laurinaitis said if he doesn't develop Sonny into a 1st rounder, than he's failed him. Sonny is not leaving early (after what is technically his soph year,) to be a late draft pick or practice squad FA. He's gonna stay and continue to get better, plus he can play alongside his brother Lorenzo Jr.

I agree that Sony should come back. He is learning how to play LB in a defense that asks a lot from the LB position. He would get drafted off of his size & speed. But If he wants to be a day 1 or 2 pick. He will come back.

Don’t think he’s going to go until next year, but you guys would be talking about him in 2nd-3rd round once you see his combine performance he’ll eventually put on. Absolute freak show athlete. Georgia has one or two first rounders every year that get drafted solely off of the athletic measurables. Sonny fits right in that category, but he’s also been very productive and impactful in his college career
I agree on Burke. The more space he is in, the bigger his problems become. He's not a Zone CB play-off corner. I don't get why they don't see he's better a press. This is also why their DLine don't get sacks sitting in a zone. Press and the Dline will get home more often.

I agree Ohio state defense is not elite. Solid defense but definitely should not be mentioned with those teams. They aren’t even comparable to other OSU teams. There’s no chase young or bosa to wreck havoc. No lattimore or ward on the back end either
They are talking total defense, I think 2019 obviously had more talent and more top heavy players, but the 2024 defense is very is middle to bottom heavy.
Ohio State is in an interesting spot where the underclassmen are actually significantly more talented than the upperclassmen (outside of oline). The younger dline and dbs have a chance to be special.

OSU got future NFL players all through the roster. What's impressive is he doesn't miss tackles. Colleges and NFL are inundated with poor tackling.
