- This lesson is an intro to inverse functions and has a step-by-step way to solve them in a straightforward way. We also graph the functions and don't adhere to the major rules in the books, doing it our own way. YAY MATH, boo.

We've all been there lol.
You have students all over the world. you are the best teacher, I believe your students are A+ Students
with that teacher ,,
I have my final exam in two days and I'm so nervous, but I feel so much better after watching your videos! I have been watching your videos for such a long time now for brushing up before tests and quizzes and I feel that having a fun teacher like you really gets me interested in math and that I learn and understand so much better with you rather than my teachers at school. Thank you for being such a great teacher, I have a great time being part of your class:)
same here
greetings from 4 years in the future! how did your final exam go?
omg.. your so awesome
my math teacher don't know how to teach us
he just choose the few questions from the text book and teach
he doesn't clearly teach us how to slove the questions
but when i finished this video
i clearly understand what is inverse functions and how to slove the inverse function
thank you very much :)
Hi Celia! Thank you so much! What a great message. I'm so happy to know that Yay Math has been of assistance to you.
i always see your video to improve my pre-calculas now :)
+Celia Lin Hey , ive got to agree with you...im back at college at the ripe old age of 42 doing an Engineering Degree that involves a lot of maths and im surprised that i dont really get taught anything much by the tutors. We are just lectured on what we should learn in our own time away from college, so i am so thankfull for Yaymath and his videos as they are so helpfull in geting me as far as i am in passing my exams so far.......Yaymath your a Legend in my opinion ;)
Your English teacher must be just as bad.
that's the difference between someone who was popular at University and a guy who wasn't XD
Your videos are extremely helpful! After struggling with this concept for weeks, I finally understand it!
If you were my math teacher, I would love Algebra even more. My teacher just talks and rambles on and then asks us to explain like what. But you make it so live. Thanks!
I just really want to thank you for posting this. My pre-cal teacher doesn't really explain. She gives us tenmarks and worksheets and expects us to understand it for the nine weeks tests. You really explain it well and I enjoyed it. Thank you so much.
Great piece, spirited and to the point. One thing your students should know about inverses, they are used in design, engineering and manufacturing. They help us make wonderful and absolutely symmetrical objects, also useful for analyzing objects and forces, retracing, for instances, or forensics. We humans barely lived without them, their usefulness and value. Keep up the wonderful job
Well taught - and it doesn't hurt that the teacher is good looking. LOL

sell out ass bitch! Your the reason why Black Hebrews around the world is going through turmoil!

i wish you can come to Africa especially my country Nigeria, lots of people need you, i need you! you know not lots of people overhere have access to the internet to watch your videos on youtube, but am trying my best to adapt your model and style so that i can use it to impact the younger generations in my country.
Hi Nwasor! Thank you so much for your comment! It's so great to know that Yay Math is reaching Nigeria and hopefully through you, making a positive difference. Is there anything I can help you with?
Thank you for your feedback! you have really inspired me..i love the way you teach...you have made Math very interesting and easy! Believe me, you are helping a lots of students all over the World, even people u dont know....i have learnth a lots of things concerning the way you teach...i am not only learning from your teaching am also learning how to adapt your style of teaching...so that i can use it to teach also.Thank u very much!
I'm Nigeria too and it's not that bad, I'm not schooling in Nigeria tho.
And YES! You have fucking helped me. Can you believe I am an 18year old, 3rd year Engineering Major and I'm taking Calculus I again cuz I want a better grade and contrary to what you think, It's not easier thank you! it's so simple! now all I need to do is fine a video when I can watch how to fine derivatives of an inverse function and I'm good for my Midterm II
Your way better than my math teacher. She told me step 1.step.2 and walked a way. I wasn't here to learn and she is so hateful.
that moment when a video about Algebra is more entertaining than youtube rewind 2018......
Thank you so much! You really don't know how helpful your videos are! I'm a sophomore in Egypt and let me tell you, my math teacher doesn't explain as well as you do! Thank you so so so so so 100x much!!!
In school a lot of kids questioned the relevance of algebra. They asked "when am I ever going to need this?" I didn't ask that because I liked math but after 20 years I never needed to use it and I forgot it. So here I am learning it all over again because now I need it.
Thank you so much for these videos I've been studying for finals all week and your math instructions help me so much!
You are the best and your interaction with the class is refreshing.
YOU ACTUALLY MAKE MATH MAKE SENSE BLESS YOUR SOUL
Your videos are awesome, I feel much better about taking my math test after watching these videos. Keep up the great work on teaching math and making it FUN!! Thank you for sharing them with the world.
What a cool ass teacher dude
you are probably teaching math in usa !
imagine i am here in bahrain !!! and i am watching your videos ~!!!!!!
you are soooo amazing !!!! thank u so much .. may " allah" bless u !!!
WOW! GREAT TEACHER!!!!! Watching your video made me understand the whole concept which i had absolutely no clue before.
I'm jealous of your teacher, he teaches so well & he is so chill! thank you for teaching me ☺
thank you so much! you have saved my grade so man times, you make it fun to learn math again! keep being awesome!
You are amazing! Thanks for your videos!! I am now not afraid for report card to come because of you!! You.... are.... AWESOME!!!! I really felt like i was in your class!
He is a great teacher, so patient, and explains things so well. Also, he is so handsome.
I remember, few days ago I taught my students this topic including composite functions however I don't multiply x and (y-3)/5 with 5. If me,I simply bring 5 to the other side so from division, it s converted to multiplication.
So.. 5x = y-3.
y = 5x+3
This way is good too, Mathematics has so many ways of solution but in the end you get the same answer. I am happy because my students started liking additional mathematics lol.
You should do pre calculus.
Algebra 2 and Trig are precalculus.
You are ten times better than my scrubby math teacher that gives you a worksheet and asks people how to do it
Man, you are a great teacher.
Thanks for clarifying something that seemed complicated!
What an inspiring message. Thank you so much. Where do you go to school?
I have my maths exam tomorrow,,,this saved my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your teaching method is so awesome , i wish i could have a teacher like this 1 =D
thank you and you are such a good teacher
Could you take the original problem and take the first number in the function and put it with X and change the sign between the number with X and the number alone? And does this make since at all?
i wish our math teacher could be just like you, his so fast at teaching and the only ones who can catch up to him are 3 of my classmates who are great at math.
this is basically us in math;
Teacher: okay so you do this.. and this.. and that... and then add this to that... and there. Does anyone have any questions? No?okay. moving on to the nest lesson.
Us: No, no, no, no wait how did you get 3??!
Mathematician classmates: Wow. that was easy.
:/
your videos are my only hope. but I hope that our teacher wont give us a test that includes items that we didnt study
THANK YOU SO MUCH!! YOU'RE WAAAAY BETTER THAT MY SNOB ROBOTIC TEACHER. THIS IS HOW MATH SHOULD BE TAUGHT!! :D :D
Thanks, this really helped! I'm glad I found your channel on here :)
I need this class atmosphere!
Awesome teacher. Better than my so called tutor.
Awesome Teacher!
I bet his class is fun, I hope you all make good of this...
i go to a blue ribbon school and have no teachers that have a style like this along with a class of students that have so much energy for math class. my school sucks and is full of burnouts i swear
I wish all my math teachers were as happily enthusiastic as you! Thanks so much for making math more fun.
thanks Sabrina.
you are very good at teaching you should go teach at claude tx lol
yay math! I'm subscribing! :D
So how do I do power functions? I missed my math lesson on Compositions and I'm completely lost..
I need this class
Thanks for the help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you! This helped me a lot. :)
Thanks a lot, I understand it now :D
I like that you teach
Ooh i wish if u can teach us in pnu ☹̵̵
Thank you very much!!!!!!!!
wish my teacher was this badass
thank you
What school does he teach at I need to go there ?!!!
Do you he is looking at the paper the last time?
Badass teacher
You're awesome
Well taught and yes he is easy to follow lol
I wish this guy was my teacher
Solving x when e/(2/x)=0.26
btw i thought gf(x) and fg(x) is composite function ,isn't it
So 5 x X is = 5x??
damnit sabrina relax
I'm your Student..
really?
actually, i'm not his student but through internet i am Glad to say that i am his student
ohhhhhh
if you were my math teacher, I would become the next Einstein.
Amir aga?
I did the 'ohhhhhhh' at the same time as the students haha
i wish he was my teacher
IN their class, student are allowed to talk and lauph while in ours............ 1 breath = -10
My math class is honestly the most boring class ever. My math teacher spends half the period going over homework from the night before and then rushes to teach the lesson! If it weren't for yaymath I would fall so behind! Thank you soooo much for making math interesting & breaking it down so that anyone could understand it. You have no idea how much it helps!
omg he's beautiful
Omg your videos are amazing you're the first one i look up to help with my math work i wish there were a lot more teachers like you !!! Keep up the great vids :))))
والله لو هذا يدرسني اجيب فل مارك 😩
wana kaman
it actually looked like he was on a conveyor belt lmao
Wow. You are a hell of a math teacher! Never in a million years did I think that I could actually understand math but clearly you changed that.
By any change do you teach Chemistry? -Joking (:
Try AK Lectures for your chem- help.
Actually communicating with your students, making it relatable, and being a fun energetic teacher is exactly what other educators should aspire to be. Thank you
Thanks for the help teacher but I'm into drugs right now
Oscar Isaac
Good one!
Seriously why didn't I have a math professor like you in high school? I would have realized I love math years ago not till im in college! lol
thank you so much sir..i really understand your way of teaching compare to my teacher. ^_^.. Thank you sir ^_^
This channel deserves wa-a-ay more subscriptions than it has now.
You're so kind. It's great to see more people "get" what Yay Math is about, like you do.
Hi Molena! Thanks so much for your message. If your school arranges for speakers, let your teacher know and perhaps I can come visit your class!
I remember how I used to be in a daze during my math classes because everything seemed so cryptic. I literally dreaded and hated even the idea of Math. But your classes are limpid and clear, I love them. I don't always understand the applications nor the reasons behind them but at least I can follow the process and most of all you make them so fun, it takes away all the dread of math classes. Thank you for sharing your passion, this is an invaluable lesson for all of us.
"Y" is a function of "X". Translation: the value of "Y" depends on the value of "X"
Please watch my video entitled: "Inverse LinearRatios/Fractions theorem" and you will discover that if a function is of the form: y= (Ax+B) / (Cx+D), the inverse function is y= (-Dx+B) / (Cx-A).
All I can say is Thank You! I was struggling to get this for some strange reason. This saved my life. I wish like hell you were my professor! Insane way of explaining this and this video made learning it a lot of fun. Kudos and way to keep it 100!
This really helped me out thanks! But the girl student in the front of the class is annoying! We all have one in the class.....yea math!
Oh my goodness. You just saved my life. I'm finally prepared for my quiz now!
Cris Cross...really? Just kidding! great job man!
This is one of the worst display of academics I have ever seen at any level. You actually have students who are engaged and curious behind the mystery and wonders that lie in the logic of math, and you tell them "You know many times, especially for students and stuff, you don't really need to know the reasons behind everything..." . Nothing in math just magically works, it can be explained, tested, and proven. Your responsibility as an educator is to be 100% honest and transparent with your students.
You should seriously consider a new career because teachers like yourself are the reason kids end up hating math.
Thank you for providing these videos for these videos for free. As an older student trying to learn math online for my class it's been challenging and your videos have been saving me. THANK YOU!!
Great Tutor...I Enjoy Your Lessons...Besides That ,You Have Jokes To Cheer UpThe Students So That They Can Understand Easily.....
At the end of the first problem when you multiplied 5 to both sides to get 5x=y-1 and you said to add 1 on both sides, how does it end up being y=5x+1 ?! That threw me off... 🤔
Oh my god. You can tell a teacher is good when he/she makes 17 mins feel like 2. FUCKING MASTER.
Thank you so much. This video helps me a lot. Our math teachee will just enter our room and then he will write immediately on the board without explaining how to solve Myghad!
after you found the inverses of x and y, what numbers did you use to plug into the formula. f(x)=x-3/5???
