Nirvana - Talk to Me (Live) [Lyrics]
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 27 сен 2024
- Likely taken from the Europe 1991 disc which contains the best known recording of this song. This song was given to Iggy Pop by Courtney Love after Kurt died. It is not known if he will ever record it, or if Nirvana ever recorded it in the studio. The noise level appears to have been increased and the drums are not quite as over-driven on the remastered edition.
from the album "Outcesticide: In Memory of Kurt Cobain"
Lyrics
Sit down easy, straight from the seat of my heart
Sit down easy, straight from the seat of my heart
Don't let me detain you, try to ride along
Don't you die knowin' I am not sad
I am not savin' I am not sharin'
I am not sharin' the weight
Talk to me
In your own language please
In your own, talk to me
In your own language please
Shake down easy, make it sound seamy, doll man
If somehow make it full house, sad man
Leader of the band makes a mental hell
I won't whether it well, well I never
Saw it with my arm, paint it with my heart
Paint it with my eyes and make it right
Talk to me
In your own language please
In your own, talk to me
In your own language please
Lay 'em down easy, lay it down seamy, sad man
Lay 'em down easy, lay it down seamy, sad man
You don't wanna hear this, I'm nothin but a whore
I will play the leader with pain
Now you know I'm needy
Lay 'em down easy, lay 'em down easy
Talk to me
In your own language please
In your own, talk to me
In your own language please
In your own, talk to me
In your own language please
In your own, talk to me
In your own language please
This song would have been big
Nirvana have an entire catalogue of unreleased songs, just as incredible as this one, which outshine nearly everything other bands have released. Keep digging!
@@TheRealValus this one would blow up the biggest though
@@TheRealValus Great song! Always liked it
Oh fuck yes, this one would have been such a fucking smash ahahah I guess we all loved it 1s soon as it surfaced on the belgium bootleg xD
My favorite Nirvana song
Thought I heard all of nirvana. Hearing a new song by them is like witnessing the eighth wonder of the world.
Most people still don't realize how epic and prolific this band was. Nirvana has an entire catalogue of unreleased songs, just as incredible as this one, which outshine nearly everything other bands have released. Kurt Cobain won Rock & Roll.
100% the best way u can put it.
You know how I always put it to people. "Nirvana wasn't even good yet. Not that I didn't love them or that they weren't talented. I mean they as a unit had in no way hit the limit of what they were capable of. That alone is simply amazing"
Look at Foo Fighters. Maybe Nirvana would have ended but if Kurt and Dave had continued to grow, challenge each other ect in a positive way? Holy Shitty shitty fuck fuck.... Kurt even said he like Dave writing.
And I like your sentiment but Kurt won punk rock, made garage punk mainstream and made music everyone's again.
Nirvana have been my all time favorite band for the last 16 years for this reason alone
With Valkin’s comment. These men had a huge catalog of great songs, still unreleased. Nirvana had so much more to let us hear. This group still has more for us to hear.
Heard this song for the first time, two days ago, now I can't get it out of my head! Love it!
Mazzeltov!! I wish I could hear this song for the first time again. Look up the version played in Vooruit, Belgium in 1991, it has a pretty funny/confusing- sounding guitar solo.
@@Overlorddz going quick to hear your new version. Thanks. 👍
Used to walk around high school with my cassette player. This version of Talk To Me was looped on both sides.
This song should have been recorded and put on Nevermind or Incesticide. Too bad he thought it was too poppy...
absolutely!👌👌
Nothing nirvana will ever be to poppy imo its all raw as fuck the more the better
This appears on Nirvana's fourth album,Rehash,Kurt wanted it on their fourth album!
Rehash isn't a Nirvana album, it was Kurt's solo album based on home recordings.
1995. Wrote down the lyrics as I heard them. 1996. Translated the song into Spanish and played it in front of my Spanish III class. Got applause, strange looks, and the whole bit. My teacher asked me to play "Smells Like Teen Spirit"... so, I thought of you, Kurt. I played a few bars from the intro in anger, dropped the low E to a D, hit the distortion and played negative creep for about 30 seconds until the class went crazy and my teacher yanked the power to my amp. Sigh... Kurt, we sorta need ya man... pull a resurrection?!?!
This is one of my favorite...Talk to meeeeeeeeee
best song on all Outcesticides... This is definitely one of Cobain's Lennon - McCartney's :D
Such a spot on comment. ❤️
To RideMyTruck, yes it was a Lennon-McCartney song for him. It just sounds great.

The People: 👋👋👋👋(Clap),Yeah!

This is so good omg
Pure Brilliance I love it
Shake it down easy, shake it down sleazy, come on
Shake it down easy, shake yourself, Suzy, come on
Don't let me detain you
Try to ride along
Don't you lie, knowing
I am not sad
I am not silly
I am not chippin'
I am not chippin' away
Talk to me
In your own language, please
In your own
Talk to me
In your own language please
Shake it down easy, make it sound seamy, doll man
Make it sound now, make it full house, sad man
Leader of the band
Makes a mental hell
I won't weather it well
Well I never
Saw it with my arm
Paint it with my heart
Paint it with my eyes and make it right
Talk to me
In your own language, please
In your own
Talk to me
In your own language, please
Lay down easy, lay it down seamy, sad man
Lay down easy, lay it down seamy, sad man
You don't want to hear this
Nothin' but a whore
I will play the leader
With pain
Now you know I'm needy
Lay them down easy
Lay them down easy
Talk to me
In your own language please
Most of those lyrics are wrong
@@istarteverysentencewithbro are they? Then what are they?
Great version. Thanks Nirvana. 👏🏻👏🏻
I remember downloading all of these ‘rare’ songs about 20 years ago. Limewire, Napster etc
Never knew they were on limewire 😩
Sorry to ask but how do you find more of these? In demo sets and stuff?
@@livvyyyyyyyyyyy they have always been available as separate songs since music became digitalised (downloadable / streamable), you’ve just got to know what you’re looking for. Check out the Nirvana album collection - ‘Outcesticide’
I love this song. It makes me think of “pop” music from like the 1950s - only it’s done in the style of grunge as presented by Nirvana.
The chorus may not necessarily fit the “50’s pop” portrayal. And the vocals are, needless to say, the unmistakeable stylings of Kurt Cobain. But damn if I can’t help but picture people just smiling and twisting their hips to this like they would from that decade.
Hey man, I think it’s great that you mentioned this because I’ve tried to tell people that to me this sounds like The B52s Love Shack!
Sing the love shack chorus during these verses and tell me it doesn’t match up pretty damn well sonically
i fucking love this song!!!!!
The verse is based on some kind of a dance, right?)
Kurt should've stayed just to record this song! (and many other like this!)
dAvrilthebear twist
I know this comment-question is late imagine another universe or timeline where Kurt didn’t kill himself. Instead, the band released their 4th album and the track list contained titles like:
1. You Know You’re Right
2. Talk to Me
3.,,,
4…..
Etc.,
How fucking epic would that be?
Esta cancion es una de las mejores rara y genial temazo GRANDE KURT !!!!
Super cool song
How am I still finding Kurt's hidden bangers?
Sounds like a grungy 60s surf rock dong
I always thought this was a cover.
Yeah, me too. I think I got it confused with the Kiss cover.
I feel like they didn’t release this because they knew it would be so big, so it’s so punk rock of them to not release it
7 dislikes.. thats literally the least dislikes I ever seen on 8 years old video.
Sit down easy, you said you found me sleeping around
Sit down easy, you said you saw me sleeping around
Don't let me detain you, by a right or wrong
I only die knowin' I am not sad
I am not savin' I am not sharin'
I am not sharin' the weight
Shake down easy, you make it sound steamy, oh man, oh man
If somehow you rape me for a house, its sad man
Leader of the band makes a mental hell
I am wrong wait'en, will I have to yell it
I only lose an arm, paid it with my heart
maybe with my eyes, baby
I have wondered what these lyrics are for 23 years.
❤
Wait ive heard this spngs studio version... hmmm why everyone telling it doesnt exist...
The riff sounds like greenday stole it
Mark Plavecki holy shit you won this comment section lmao
which means that nirvana stole it from the kinks and green day stole it from nirvana
The Internet is only stuff you shouldn't talk about. Alternative response...
this rift is everywhere like song 2 by blur
@@duckyyyaj247what song did nirvana “steal” it from then?
The makings of a great song. But Kurt knew best, the studio would've sucked the life out of this one.
who play's drums?chad?
Dave
+Joaquin Lance oh ok thanks :)
Dave bc this wasn’t an older one it was just a tune they didn’t officially release but played live
and whats the reason that the song was given to iggy pop ?
My sharona
CHEVEREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Lyrics are bullshit. Lots of the recordings out there are concept pieces and just ideas for unfinished songs. The songs were more important than lyrics. People say Kurt mumbled and yelled the lyrics... well that is because the lyrics were never written / decided. Just pure emotion and passion.
A?
that may be your opinion, but it isnt true.. Lyrics were written and decided even if they were played around with a bit at first.
says sit down easy susy from the .city? ..reporter...
Is this a covor or a real song
Not a big fan of this, but it would have been interesting if a studio version surfaced.
This isn't real 🖕
holy shit this could've been their next teen spirit... maybe that's why kurt didn't put it on in utero lol
Bronte Starr Ikr!
Rape Me was the Teen Spirit of In Utero but thats just like my opinion, man. I do really like this song though
@@toad8840 you could definitely say that but i ment in riff similarity
@@toad8840 Heart Shaped Box makes more sense
Colin Anderson But Heart Shaped Box is actually good
CHEVEREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Holy crap! A Nirvana song I didn't know!
To returnoftheroach, my same thoughts. Own this Outcesticide compact disc and is a well played part of it.
This song is catchy as fuck. i wish they made a studio recording of it
To Colin Anderson, if you type ‘studio version of ‘Talk To Me’ by Nirvana, you can hear what it would have been. There is another version. Actually two, but one is a copy. Not Nirvana but another man’s group. 🙂👍
Favorite nirvana song by far since I was a kid. This and sappy are my 2 favorites that never made it to one of the albums while he was alive
Courtney Giving this song away to Iggy Pop is like giving Bob Dylan a benzedrine she probably did and I have no clue what that woman is doing with her life...
@@laylavladi HAHAHAH touché
If i remember correctly he declined but knowing she has a version of this song laying around is just despicable
In your own language 😁 please! Such passion.
🐇
Today in 2024 I can see this released on vinyl, cd, and cassette. The cover is already perfect
Sounds like one of the vines songs with different lyrics.
The Vines to me sound very similar to Nirvana. The influence is obvious.
Sounds best with full volume and headphones😋
This is a stand out single👌
Is Kurt the man who is singing in this track?
I still hear....I ain't no rap singer and a few other things differently. No matter how many time I read those lyrics. I mean it's nirvana so it's GED and a 1000X better than the version I have on my no existent youtube channel.
Somehow the lyrics don’t seem quite right.
Can’t be the only person getting Kinks vibes.
I love it, makes so much sense!!!!!!!!!
leader of the band makes and own hell
*an own hell
BUENAZA
where are the lyrics though?!
