I have the same car (the comfort version) from 2001 with 5 doors. Its a litle bit smokie (no smoke no fun), but it has a good acceleration and power. I like these cars.
@@truguru7410 You mean the CDTI probably. DTI was only the early model 1.7l - I had it in a Fiat Doblo delivery van for 2 years, a 90hp version - even better! I abused it for 30.000km and it performed very nicely at all times. Great engine for sure.

Trzymać się z daleko od tego silnika. Japoński szajs - 3x mi się spalił sterownik pompy wtryskowej (źle umieszczony - przegrzewa sie i drgania), padła uszczelka pod głowicą - ubywało 2 litry płynu na 2 tygodnie i lądowały w oleju, rozwaliła się skrzynia biegów na wstecznym. Przebieg ok. 300 kkm. Do tego brak mocy, krótka skrzynia (gorzej niż GOLF IV TDI 1z czy Xsara HDI) i odczuwalna praca turbiny dopiero od 1800-1900 obr. (poniżej jedzie jak wolnossak) - ten typ tak ma. Astra była na prawdę zadbana i poza układem napędowym nie sprawiła żadnego problemu, nie rdzewiała prawie wcale. z radością sprzedałem
Pewnie już u ciebie było coś dłubane bo mam dwa Comba z tym silnikiem jedno ma 310 tys. Drugie 213 tys. I tylko olej wymieniam i klocki hamulcowe. Chodzą silniki bez zarzutu 🙋♂️
Brings back memories but not good ones! We had an old low spec Astra estate for years when we were poor! With this Izuzu diesel. I admire it in a way because it was excellent family transport and very economical. The sound is awful though. I love diesel sound but not this one! 😅

My mom has a Opel Corsa C, 68 hp, and this car once ran with the engine light for a entire month, and no permanent damage was made. I recommend tbh

Try the 1.3CDTI if you can, you'll be shocked at how much smoother it is :) I've owned the 2003 1.2 petrol for 19 years now btw. :-X
I have a 4 door 1.3CDTI from 2006. Car still going strong at 218k km.
