I just love the way you are able to play in so many different styles. Each piano or guitar voice that you chose, you are able to switch and play in a completely different style like rock, pop, classical, country, blues, etc. Really great playing! I wish I could improvise like you.
Yamaha are well renowned for their authentic piano sounds and the Yamaha Genos2 simply don't disappoint! In a matter of fact myself being a classical pianist I go as far as to say, nothing comes close to it for its characteristics especially to all new Yamaha CFX. The rest of the piano's on the Yamaha Genos2 are no exception! Simply brilliant and as always, the outstanding demonstration by Leigh clearly warrants such bold statements ... Well super done Leigh, you're a wealth of inspiration, mastery and above all respect to your brilliant musicianship ...
I am convinced G2 has the best sounds and styles of all but is it possible to move on from them and do some real instructional videos; especially starting with creating one’s own styles from scratch and stringing them together to record a whole song? Would also like to know about whatever tweaks can be done to the FM generated sounds?
I think these pianos sound so great. I really like the character grand and the C7. I think the Character grand and U3 would also be great aditions to the CP andYC series when they do the next updates for those keyboards.
Again many thanks Leigh, as a blind person, your videos are so helpful to me. Listening through a good pair of headphones in my own time is just great, not pressured like in a shop, keep up the good work. I wonder if you ever did find out about the voice guide on genos 2. Thanks once again.
I would listen to your piano playing all day long. So beautiful the way you play Leigh I wish I could play with my 2 hands like you. These piano sounds are really fantastic.
Without a doubt, these are some of the best pianos that you get. I especially like the character grand as well. I could see that getting used in a lot of music I play.
Very nice demo. But I was hoping to see and hear a full demo of the E.Piano section, especially with all the new DX/TX additions. I would really like to know how good the FM keys are. This would be my main reason to get this instead of a PA5X, but I don't have a place to demo it myself...
Out of sheer interest Leigh, what can you tell us about the differences between Yamaha's acoustic CFX concert grand, the stage grand, and the Ambient grand. Is it just the sizes between a 12 foot and 6 foot grand piano? A really good video on the pianos Leigh, thank you.
You mentioned this doesn't have weighted keys. How much does that impact the ability to play softly/abruptly/hard etc? It's hard to imagine what that's like without weighted keys. Thank you for your video this was great!
Hi, Leigh - thanks so much for all the hard work you put into sharing GENOS 2 information! Might you be able to explain to me why for many styles, the middle octave on the keyboard starts again and repeats the previous octave as opposed to continuing where the previous octave (to the left) left off? Is there a way to prevent this from happening? Thanks!
Normally the lower range of the keyboard from bottom key to middle f or g is set for the arranger section (where you play chords) outside of that is where you play your right hand melody. So the keyboard is split in two.
Interesting! That explains it. So, in most cases, it doesn't function as a regular "continuous" piano keyboard. I just moved from a the 61 key SX700 to the GENOS2. So nice having more real estate!@@LeighWilbraham
Cool. Which keyboard is the best overall: Genos 2, MODX, Fantom 6, Montage, Juno-X, Jupiter-X? Also, which videos of your have jazz demo's? I watched one the other day and can't find it anymore.
hi Leigh tell me when you play piano with both hands Am I ok to say that your left hand is playing the chords. In other words your left hand is replacing the automatic accomp.
This instrument, changed my life, absolutely the best possible keyboard there is.
A keeper for the ones who have it and a dreamer for the ones who don't 🙃

The pianos sound fab. A sound for everyone there. Im looking forward to your review of the strings.
FANTASTIC! Thanks for the demo... you JUST gotta do all the rest of the voices... especially the strings and horns!
Ok
Horns next
@@LeighWilbraham HALLELUJAH!
Your choice of cords is great. Even noodling around they sound awesome
Thanks
All the sounds of pianos you will ever need. Very nice video.
Hi Leigh, pianos all sound good, beautifully demonstrated. Cheers!!
Can you upload an 8 hour long video every day please. Just a little request.
As always, phenomenal. Thanks a lot Leigh.
To be fair I could do that as I spend around 8 hours sat at this beast.
We'll name it: The Leigh Genos reality show@@LeighWilbraham :)

Character Grand. From what I heard, it's something intended for use in pop, jazz, and country-type settings.
Absolutely mind-blowing!!! Just love the way you present too, entertaining as well as informative m
Thank you.

Veey intersting video, i hope you can do some more with the other voices to know how the high quality of Genos 2 sound

Hello Sharon I have asked two people at Yamaha and neither have got back to me. I will chase again now.
Many thanks, I really do appreciate it.@@LeighWilbraham

You should cover how the drumkits sound on the styles.
How many new ones are there?
Switch between kits while listening to the styles.

It doesn’t. It’s a semi weight - and is really great to play. It’s so much easier to play and is very responsive.
Hi Leigh. Can you make the same video with the Electric Pianos please? Thank you so much.
U1…most popular uprite in the piano world. C7 …. Most recorded piano ever.
C7 is incredible. As are most Yamaha products. Genos 2 is absolutely outstanding in every way.
Will Yamaha bring out an 88 note version?
It’s not a piano. It’s a keyboard
So are some of these piano sounds available in older Yamaha keyboards?
Just Awesome 😂piano sounds 🎉
Does yamaha ever make arranger keyboards with 88 key hammer action keybeds?

please tell me about Yamaha GENOS size 7/8 or 7/16 ?
Leigh, some great voices there and nicely demonstrated. When you are using just right 1, do you have a split point in the keyboard?
Yes robin just one voice and I have my split at Ab 3
@@LeighWilbraham What note is Ab 3? I'm currently playing a Tyros 4 and the split point is on the F sharp below middle C
@@robindavies6164 G sharp above the F

Genos 2 is not a synth.
Sorry, can you say sizes 7/8 or 7/16 eats in Yamaha Genos instruments
Love from india
hi Leigh tell me when you play piano with both hands Am I ok to say that your left hand is playing the chords. In other words your left hand is replacing the automatic accomp.
That’s correct
Is Genos2 using physical based sound generation or just sample or mixed?
Samples and FM
What sound system do you use?
I have a pair of HS80 monitors with my Genos and use EV Evolve if I play to a larger audience
