Synopsis :
Jhootha Kahin Ka (What a Liar) (2019) is a lighthearted Bollywood comedy that follows the hilarious escapades of two friends who get tangled in a web of their own tall tales. Varun (Omkar Kapoor) and Karan (Sunny Singh) are college buddies who dream of escaping their small-town lives and making it big in Mauritius. Varun, a passionate storyteller with a penchant for exaggeration, thrives on creating a glamorous facade. Karan, on the other hand, is more grounded but easily swept away by Varun's flights of fancy.
Determined to impress their families and secure jobs in Mauritius, Varun concocts a fantastical narrative. He portrays himself as a successful businessman with a luxurious lifestyle in Mauritius. Karan, caught up in the charade, embellishes his own story to fit Varun's invention.
Their elaborate lie lands them in hot water when they arrive in Mauritius. They struggle to maintain their fabricated identities while desperately searching for jobs to substantiate their claims. Their quest is further complicated when they both fall in love with different women, further entangling them in their web of deception.
Jhootha Kahin Ka is a laugh-out-loud comedy that explores the humorous consequences of living a lie. As Varun and Karan strive to navigate their fabricated realities, the film delivers a lighthearted message about the importance of honesty and staying true to oneself.
