Using filters with your smartphone is something that I recommend very often. Using an ND Filter for example is absolutely essential in case you are shooting outdoors and you want to get the "correct" exposure without losing all the motion blur. The problem with other clamp on filters is that on one hand it covers the screen and secondly you very often get some weird looking lens flares and artefacts.
This system solves both these problems and works with the magnets of the new iPhones so that you don't need any tools or anything else!

It would be cool to come out with peak design phone cases compatible filter mount.
Very cool idea. Although if you can’t twist the polarizer half the functionality of a polarizer is crippled and the the ability to adjust on the fly is gone. So as JUST filters, this is very useful. But for Polarizer this would be a non starter. Interested to see where they go with this.
Also I am noticing in the Filmic pro video you are getting intense lens flares/wipes where the filter is causing a massive reflection of the light to pan across the lens versus when you add an ND filter to a camera and it seals. You are getting a full frame "wipe effect" is this something they will work on?
Also curious, will it work with a case or you have to be naked phone?
that's true - if you mainly use PL filters that's not the system to go. Sorry I don't quite understand what you mean with the "wipe effect". With that filmic pro video I unfortunately switched framerates mid shooting (and did not notice) that's why some movements look a bit weird. The filter system covers the lenses completely so you get way less light bouncing compared to other filters - I think its very compareable to what you get on a regular camera lens and then adding the filter to the front
The same is true for VND filters or if you want to stack them or use it with a case, not the system to go. It's indeed very well built but that's it, they don't even have single filters available for their expensive proprietary system. I just managed to hack an old GoPro BlurFix3 SO 55mm adapter to fit this 'snap' mount neatly, at least this makes it come a tad closer to 'the best'.
These are really cool, hopefully they keep innovating these. Not being budget gimbal compatible, adjustable or stackable is a deal breaker for now though. Although, great for simple project uses, social media videos etc. Great protection for the phone lenses, especially from the sun when your phones on a dash mounted holder in the car. Hmph. Lots of things to consider.
for most scenarios, this is plenty enough (at least for me) sure you cannot stack them and you can't use lenses, but other than that this is brilliant
budget gimbal for smartphones are the higherend smartphone gimbals. I would go with the DJI OM6 or Zhiyun Smooth 5 because they are made for smartphones and they don't break the bank. If that is out of your budget then get the smooth q2 by zhiyun. It goes doe under 100$ but it does have trouble with bigger phones.
I don’t think it is possible but are they stackable? Mist+Nd for instance? Great video btw!
For now they are not - maybe with a future update they might be - good input!
The concept is excellent. Why not they consider a hard plastic version of both body and filter so that it can be used in all gimbals? Polycarbonate version shall be easy to mould and they are rugged and un beakable too.
Overall the product concept is very good. Hope copycats don't duplicate this.

Hi thank you for your content, I am new to your channel and find it very informative. I am starting to use social media for my work to reach more clients. Unfortunately the video quality looks horrible as it show so many imperfections such a facial spots or blemishes. I am currently still using a iphone 11 and know I need to upgrade soon. Is there a way to soften or filter out these imperfections so that I look better on the video? Thanks so much for your time.

Oh if there was something like this but for lens add-ons I'd be all in. Moment cases are ok and their lenses are ok too but they are so bulky and clunky give me a slide in MagSafe lens add-on that I can pop off easily 😀
I use Kase magnetic filters for smartphones. Ive never seen a review on them- its as if they don't exist and they're fantastic! They just attach magnetically to a small magnet you stick on your phone or phone case.

Found Kase by accident yesterday while desperately trying to find sandmarc, moment, etc. I could only find one review and not much more info. But they seem to be respected in the dslr space, and they are priced like a quality product. So I bought the filters to try. I am hesitant to try the the lenses because I don’t know how well they will work with the bigger 14pro sensor. I’m not a RUclipsr, but I’ll probably create a small video reviewing the kase lenses because they get no attention. People seem to review either the very expensive (moment) or the very cheap (appexel). Kase is in the middle. I wouldn’t mind helping the next person like me not have to gamble
Might be not too many people feel comfortable about permanently sticking a huge magnetic L to their iPhone..

Problem with this, if you change your iphone, it would likely not fit /align with upcoming model's lens
That’s what I’m worried about. I’m willing to throw down 200$ for this product but when I upgrade my iphone in 2 years will it still be compatible?! Ugh

I think this biggest feature is not the gimic I think its solve the ND filter X line problem cus this is not circle,normal ND filter must be coating but reason of the shape it must be rotating coating this square one must be coating straight and the X line must be not appear again!its so cool!I have watch this idea lastyear and waiting so long time!
Suggestion: It would be dope if the company made a phone clamp that was ‘deeper’ so the combo could be used on any gimbal or run and gun tripod. (Can I get a discount for this brilliant suggestion? LoL)

A VARIABLE ND is better than takinh on out and trying another and.... ..... Have you seem Freewell ? or Polarpro ? Maybe moment will come out with something new for iphone 14 pro.... CASES, LENSES, FILTERS and the way they MONT on smartphone it is still a pain in the neck!!! What recommendations would you give?

Hey, do you perhaps know if those filters for iPhone 14 Pro Max are compatible with iPhone 15 Pro Max as well? One person told me that it is but I'd like to be double sure before spending 110+ euro. They recently released a version for iPhone 15 Pro Max but they don't have the ND bundle for it, only all-filters bundle, which is too costly for me (and they ignore my questions about whether they are going to make the ND bundle for it or not).

I’m in the market for iPhone camera lens. 2 cons that I see is that 1. When I upgrade my phone it’s unlikely it will be compatible with my new phone so I’ll have to purchase it all over again. 2. The lens are not stackable.
these are filters not lenses - if you upgrade your phone you only need a new case - the filters will be the same

very good idea but why isn't it flush ? so the iphone is much heavier on one side which is heavier for a gimbal again..

Smartphone may be a misnomer since all of these filter/holders are only available for iPhone.

@@smartphonefilmmakingpro a friend who is a filmmaker tells me not to use an iphone, and some people trust that the iphone can't shoot well, I've been working as a production assistant but I've never filmed anything and I'm afraid I won't do it right.

this system is rubbish simply because ND filters are nov variable, I can't be f***** changing ND filters all the time when shooting in the sunny weather.

@@smartphonefilmmakingpro that’s true, but it’s compromise, as i see there is no ideal filter system, for me, it’s always has compromise , i would say, that pan snap system just another good option, but still option, not a solution.
