I am rewatching this show. I pulled an all-nighter to finish it and I cried. Now I’m back at the first episode and it’s making me feel so sad, seeing all these characters and knowing what happens to each of them. To anyone who has not watched this drama before, it is excellent and you get really attached to the characters. It’s definitely worth watching. Also, don’t skip episodes or sections because you will miss out on important information. The reason I’m rewatching this is because the twists and turns are so complex and I want to find more details that I didn’t notice the first time. Thank goodness I am not a character in this drama, because the scheming and backstabbing is too much for me to keep up with and I would end up dead because of my naïveté.
I really want to watch this drama, I watched like 15 episodes already, but it's really hard to keep up with it for me even though I really like it. I plan to binge-watch the whole thing soon.

Agree. I’m watching this after watching Til the End of the Moon. He was fantastic. Never saw him before. But also realizing that most of the other actors are new to me. I’m very impressed with all of the actors and actresses.
One of the best written cdramas I've watched with all action filled adventures, mystery, romance, sword fights with unexpected twists that keeps you addicted. Second time watching while recuperating from the bug & I loved it! The cast were perfectly chosen, the main leads were superb & the costumes were splendid!

The aesthetics of this drama are so pleasing from the sets, costumes, music and even speech is so beautiful. The cast is also stunning as well. I watch this over and over just for this reason. It’s so warm, the candles against the wooden interiors, the costumes, Rong Le’s smile, the gorgeous tea sets, even the acting is so intimate.
The first Chinese drama i watched that open the door to the endless others i watched. Coming back again just to show my appreciation. I love this drama.
It's good, the casts, the story, and the pacing--I don't usually watch subtitled series, but the main actress is the attraction--she's in 2014 Condor Hero series, it's good to see her as the main character. (I normally watch dubbed Cdramas).
I just started, anybody else seriously questions whether Ron Qi is her brother right from the episode 1? He looks at her with so much love and sorrow, the romantic kind, not the family kind. And he protects her like a boyfriend, not like a brother.

This is something Hollywood is ignoring because the actors and producers feel so entitled. Kdramas snd Cdramas show how hard everyone works in cold weather with mist coming out as they speak their lines. Beautiful costumes and backgrounds compared to Hollywood’s everyday grunge wear and plain city backdrops. Hollywood really needs to step up its game rather than go on strike trying to prevent these better series and movies from being shown on Netflix, YT, etc.

I was asking myself why I am getting obsessed of watching historical drama though, its usually mixed with mythical stories specially in CD😊😊😊. Now I got the absolute answers. First because of their modest and elegant dressing. 2nd genuine twist of each characters stories in the drama a lot to mention.
For me it’s the costumes as well as the male leads that are not afraid to love. If I watch some modern movie in America… It’s all about some macho man who is been emotionally hurt 35 times before and doesn’t trust women. These folks didn’t “date” & they try to make their marriage work. These guys in these Chinese dramas are not afraid to love. They are not afraid to admit it, which is a plus in my book
When she went back to the past I was like “plz no memory loss where the main lead forgets the female lead”. I was happy when they remembered each other and I was motivated to continue watching this cause I was glad that they did not forget each other, then. It happened. The worst part was that I predicted it. I really don’t like watching Drama’s where I end up predicting the plot. I thought since It started out in a different way from all the other drama’s It would end up different. It’s gonna take me a while before I come back to this series cause I really enjoy it. But the memory loss thing is over used. So much, that it almost ruins the drama for me.
Guys, this is the best drama I’ve ever watched. Seriously, I’m not kidding. It was a little slow in the middle but the plot is crazy good. It’s definitely worth your time and I enjoyed it very much. Very good Historical drama I must even admit that its one of the best, with a plot well thickened. With a happy ending, i would rather most historical dramas ended like this.
Loved the whole series. So many things have been portrayed in one drama- betrays, loosing loved ones, forgiving, trusting, friendship, love and brotherhood. Acceptance of wrong deeds. Well , there is so much than I have explained here. You won't feel bored. Never expected to experience so much in one drama. Main leads were awesome. I loved female lead's both love side and anger side.

I love Luo Yunxi so much...i wish i was related to him in somecway whether it be as family or friendship...his aura is so warm and loving! It would break my heart if he ever turns into a diva but i dont see that ever happening ❤

There is a happy ending for the main couple and a lot of death (but not for all) for the others, notably Rong Qi (my favorite character) who is a real tragedy from which I have never recovered. Which means that in the last episodes, only the last 15 minutes are happy.
Nothing beats Chinese costume dramas, the wolf is still my fav with the blooms at ruyi s pavilion, wudang sword , the legends , castle in the sky part one, and the story of yanxi palace
Interesting fact about actor Luo Yunxi/Leo Luo. He studied ballet professionally for 11 years when he was a kid/teenager. Even was a instructor of it at one time. That he why he is so graceful in his body movements here and in all he stars in ie Ashes of Love.
Note it guys......many people knws Rong Qi/fish immortal frm ashes of love and might dislike him just like me because of his character there ,but here it is completely opposite he'll become ur most fav character by the end of the drama..........no way to explain how he expressed his love here 😭❤️
Do you mean Run Yu instead? He was actually a Dragon Immortal but was nicknamed Fish Fairy by lead female character as she first thought he was a fish at first. Yes, he turned out the most evil in Ashes of Love but redeemed himself at the very end.

By gosh the cinematography is stunning. Just look at the vista, the aerial shots, the shadows cast by the candles, and the impeccable interior decor. Perfection!

And once you’ve come to the conclusion, you’ll be looking around for something else to start watching. That’s why I don’t hurry or rush through when I find a series that I really like. I was asking myself why I am getting obsessed of watching historical drama though, its usually mixed with mythical stories specially in CD😊😊😊. Now I got the absolute answers. First because of their modest and elegant dressing. 2nd genuine twist of each characters stories in the drama a lot to mention.
For me it’s the costumes as well as the male leads that are not afraid to love. If I watch some modern movie in America… It’s all about some macho man who is been emotionally hurt 35 times before and doesn’t trust women. These folks didn’t “date” & they try to make their marriage work. These guys in these Chinese dramas are not afraid to love. They are not afraid to admit it, which is a plus in my book
They made the lead so mysterious in the first episode that I felt so curious about him hahaha, hope he'll not disappoint

This is an marvelous drama . This drama is heartbreaking and heartouchig. Each character has a story behind them. I loved it very much.
When she went back to the past I was like “plz no memory loss where the main lead forgets the female lead”. I was happy when they remembered each other and I was motivated to continue watching this cause I was glad that they did not forget each other, then. It happened. The worst part was that I predicted it. I really don’t like watching Drama’s where I end up predicting the plot. I thought since It started out in a different way from all the other drama’s It would end up different.
It’s gonna take me a while before I come back to this series cause I really enjoy it. But the memory loss thing is over used. So much, that it almost ruins the drama for me.

Guys, this is the best drama I’ve ever watched. Seriously, I’m not kidding. It was a little slow in the middle but the plot is crazy good. It’s definitely worth your time and I enjoyed it very much. Also, thank you to the channel and the subbers! Again, MY. FAVORITE. DRAMA. EVER. 😍🤩😆

Loved the whole series. So many things have been portrayed in one drama- betrays, loosing loved ones, forgiving, trusting, friendship, love and brotherhood. Acceptance of wrong deeds. Well , there is so much than I have explained here. You won't feel bored.
Never expected to experience so much in one drama. Main leads were awesome. I loved female lead's both love side and anger side.

When you know the end, this episode breaks your heart. Rong Qi is a tragedy on his own and the best character in this drama.

There is a happy ending for the main couple and a lot of death (but not for all) for the others, notably Rong Qi (my favorite character) who is a real tragedy from which I have never recovered.
Which means that in the last episodes, only the last 15 minutes are happy.

After watching this series already and knowing the twists and secrets, so many of the scenes from the first episode hit much differently.
I love the aesthetics of this show. The colors are so warm and everything is so pretty. The editing is a bit choppy but it's ok.

Interesting fact about actor Luo Yunxi/Leo Luo. He studied ballet professionally for 11 years when he was a kid/teenager. Even was a instructor of it at one time. That he why he is so graceful in his body movements here and in all he stars in ie Ashes of Love.

Note it guys......many people knws Rong Qi/fish immortal frm ashes of love and might dislike him just like me because of his character there ,but here it is completely opposite he'll become ur most fav character by the end of the drama..........no way to explain how he expressed his love here 😭❤️
Do you mean Run Yu instead? He was actually a Dragon Immortal but was nicknamed Fish Fairy by lead female character as she first thought he was a fish at first. Yes, he turned out the most evil in Ashes of Love but redeemed himself at the very end.
I mistake that Rong Qi is the name of this character I just found out, not in Ashes of Love where the actor was Run Yu. Sorry for the mistake.
I leave the dramas after watching there FIRST meet and when the CONFESS their LOVE to each other .And then I start watching another.
