Umm no. Stop saying this to make yourself feel better. I have never drank alcohol and driove. Sure as hell wouldn't drive away if I hit something. Shannon always has problems and always blames her divorce. Newsflash-her histrionics would drive anyone away. She is dense, who believes in colonic cleanses? She needs to see a psychiatrist and take accountability for how critical she is, and bossy.
Omg stop it! There is no part of Shannon Storms Beador that wants to have one drink and go home at 10pm.
She may be a people pleaser but that certainly doesn't mean shes also not an alcoholic.
She needs intensive inpatient rehab not 'intense' therapy. What a joke.
And no Jeff this couldn't have happened to anyone. It could happen specifically to someone who KNOWINGLY got drunk and got begind the wheel with their dog, driving way too fast ultimately plowing into someones front stoop - missing the front door by 2 feet.
Jeff I hear you, but you can't minimize this. She intentionally left the scene of an accident and was going to go by her merry way. If she hadn't been caught. I give credit to the citizen that got her license plate because she wasn't going to turn herself in.
You cannot blame black out drinking and then drinking and driving and leaving the scene to being a caretaker!! That’s insane! I have watched the Housewives for years and she has always had a drinking problem. Praying she gets her act together🙏🏻

I am so tired of NO ONE SAYING She Knew Better ! I have a daughter that was in the back seat of her friends car when it was hit by a Drunk Driver that caused her to be disabled. After being on pain meds she ultimately became a Heroin addict. The guy is doing 19 to 40 years in prison for attempting murder on 4 teenagers. My grandson has had to live with me for 5 years now.. DRUNK DRIVERS DESTROY LIVES

100%. I am so sorry you have gone through this. I worked with traumatic brain-injured patients in the 90's. It is no secret that people shouldn't drink and drive. Shannon deserves the book thrown at her. This enabling and excusing behavior is sickening.
Where are the consequences?
If I was a best friend to an alcoholic - I would tell that person: You are an alcoholic. Stop drinking. Period.
I would do an intervention.
Prayers for her healing. And Jeff, I totally give you credit for standing by her side. These days, people will drop you in a second at a whiff of scandal. So kudos to you. Thank God no one was hurt. It could have taken a very bad turn. She definitely has had a rough few years, so this is a good reset

Rough few years? No one has died in her family. She got divorced & her boyfriend broke up with her almost a year ago. She needs better coping mechanisms.

Divorce is like a death. If you’ve never been through one it can be hard to relate especially when there is infidelity.
@@cherylgarcia8808 my husband actually died of a brain tumor when I was 44. It was a long, horrible death. Our only child was a senior in high school when we found out he was terminal. He died on Jan 7 - when she was home after her first semester of college.
And guess what? I didn’t cry to everyone about what a “rough time” I went thru. And I didn’t crash into a house. I just dealt with it. Like I said, Shannon needs other coping mechanisms besides alcohol. Her life isn’t that bad.

A therapist would advise for sure ✔️ that she does in-patient treatment. You are away from everyone and you just focus on yourself and the longer you are away the clearer you will see. Been there done it (not fir drink driving).

I have always liked Shannon and agree with Jeff. Shannon is a good person who made a mistake and yes it could happen to any of us. She has 3 beautiful daughters in college who will be there to support their Mother. Jeff has always been a good friend to her and will continue to help her in anyway possible😮
She doesn't need the kind of friend that says...You're not an alcoholic! We've watched her drinking escalate for years to the point of black out drunk! Jeff doesn't want to lose a drinking buddy.
I still don’t hear anyone address her drinking is out of control. She was having black out how do you or Shannon know she hasn’t driven and drinking. You really don’t! I still hear Jeff still making excuses first thing she needs to stop drinking and don’t make excuses for oh she tired today maybe she should get rest instead of going to counseling! Shannon plays victim all the time and her co dependency is way out of wack! Her and Johns relationship is very co dependent that is dangerous for her drinking. It’s great to be supportive but don’t feel for her let her go through what she has to. She might only be able to take things no more than a hour at a time. On her last interview with US she was very combative when drinking was brought up. Be honest Shannon’s drinking has been out of control for quite a while. We as fans could see it progressing sometimes friends can’t. Shannon is my favorite RHOOC and she needs to stay away from certain people who are not good for her like Tamara! But that will come in time! Hopefully!

She is not lovely. I have never heard her admit to any poor behavior. She is critical of people yet cries when anyone criticized her. She bagged David and nagged her latest boyfriend. She is awful and should try being alone for a few years. Yet she clings to her grown children--notice they all moved away.
I think the combination of alcohol and diet meds messed her up sort of like Megan losing her cool with Heather during the time she was on the the popular diet aids

She needs to heal herself first. She shouldn't be in a relationship. She needs to get away, basically break up with this Jansen guy, and be single. Eat healthy, exercise, don't drink. And go to therapy. If she does this, she will be a brand new person.

Shannon’s life has become unmanageable due to alcohol. That’s the definition of an alcoholic Jeff. Stop saying she’s not, that’s not going to serve her. Let her get the help she needs to heal from her past pain. She will still be fun sober.

Love Shannon but the drinking has been a problem even before John. Together they are a nightmare of booze and toxicity. They get drunk and fight constantly. We've also seen little missy there, Taylor in a drunken display recently. Stop sugar coating. Way too much drinking. I've got friends doing the same thing, I also get late night drunken phone calls. There's an epidemic of middle aged women who are closet alcoholics in denial. Its wine-thirty woohoo BS. I've seen ruined lives because of it. Time for Shannon to stop drinking at all, regroup, get healthy, lose her clingy attraction to men that belittle her and just focus on getting well, she's not well right now.
People choose to ruin their lives. And moms should NEVER drink in front of their kids as a stress reliever. Enjoying a glass of wine with dinner is acceptable. Drinking to deal with your emotions or to "fit in" is not..

No, I'm sorry but this doesn't "happen" to people. Listen, no one likes to drink more than I do but, if I'm driving it's 1 drink or 2 at most. They do have others things to drink besides alcohol at bars. There are all sorts of choices Shannon could have made. Leave the car and get an Uber or walk. The likelihood of this being the first time she ever drove drunk is 0%. She just got caught this time. She made a bad choice because she couldn't control herself. I think she probably has a problem and at the very least should evaluate her relationship with alcohol.
I love you Jeff, but I think you may look at this differently in a few years when Monroe is out driving and there are drunk drivers on the road like Shannon.

As many times as Shannon has gotten drunk on camera over the years, and I'm sure she has gotten drunk plenty of times off camera, then she gets a DUI and you're saying she doesn't have a drinking problem? And no it couldn't happen to anybody because a lot of people don't drink alcohol for one thing and plus a lot of people when they do get drunk uses their common sense and don't drive while drunk. Anyway I hope this is a wakeup call for Shannon and she goes to rehab and stops drinking alcohol for good.

I respectfully disagree with Jeff. I HAVE been in this situation- about 30 years ago I was arrested for drunk driving in another state which had much harsher penalties, from what I hear. It was my first offense (no accident involved, I was observed weaving) One of the many penalties was driver's school. Twelve hour course that something I learned vividly stands out in my memory- the average person drives 285 times before they receive a DUI/DWI. That nugget is what caused me to completely turn my life around. This is not the first time she's driven while intoxicated and if she doesn't seek help it won't be her last, IMHO. In my case, the worst thing to happen to me ended up the best thing to happen to me. I hope Shannon can say that also later in her life. Drunk driving cannot be minimized- it's not just a mistake that we make but a choice that affects everyone around us, especially those who love us. She's not the only housewife with an issue but she can learn from this and make better choices in her future. Jmo.
Shannon was drinking heavily when married to David. She has a drinking problem and needs to get help with it.

If she thinks she needs intensive therapy I think she knows she has a problem. But will she fix it only she knows the answer. What is wrong with her doing AA meetings unless she is really struggling to not drink. If she is doing this therapy because of any other reason than having a problem she is fooling herself. But like most of these people she can’t admit she has a problem because she thinks she doesn’t. This is not her wake up or bottom. This is her beginning. She has a problem, has had one for years, and unless she is willing to admit it nothing will help her until she does. Jeff needs to just shut up and look in the mirror. He is nothing more than an enabler.

Oh someone that has lost a family member to drink driving I can almost guarantee this is not the first time she has done it. It's the first time she's been caught.
