Here is a clip from both of yesterday's solo visits from Jackie first, then Shadow, and a special visitor at the end of the night.
Jackie flies in for a short visit first with a stick delivery. However, she did not move the stick around to a safer location so that's probably why Shadow felt the need to check on the situation.
He stops by later and does his own nest inspection and finds Jackie's new stick and places it appropriately. Ahhh... all is right again. Branch Manager Shadow was pleased so he heads to the back porch and begins tracking somebirdy in the area. His fierce eyes following and working a plan. He then takes off to handle business.
The camera operator pans to their nightly Roost tree but only one eagle was visible. Maybe Shadow was escorting the visitors out of his area. Or maybe he was already perched close by but camouflaged by all the trees.🌙🌲🦅👀
At the end of the night, we had a special guest stop by for another nest inspection. Ms Fiona, the (nocturnal) flying squirrel! Isn't she adorable?? I don't think she was happy since there were no fish snackies left for pick up.🐿🫤
