I’m not a hater and am happy you got the bag you wanted. It is stunning. However. I wish people of affluence, like yourself, stop supporting Hermes. It’s ridiculous that any store can treat customers the way that Hermes does. I want the company to stop its practices and the only way to do that is for their customer base to stop supporting them. Because no one should have to buy items just to be “offered” a item they really want. Thank God I don’t even have the money to buy a Berkin or a Kelly. So the choice is easy for me. It’s up to people who can afford it to make the right choice. It sends a message to other brands like VCA, who are trying to be like Hermes, that you better watch how you treat your customers.
It’s too quid pro quo. What would have happened if you were not offered the Kelly? Would you have kept spending money on stuff you didn’t want just for the Kelly?! What is the limit?!

I totally agree. I'm not hating on anyone who got offered quota bags either. Congrats to them! But it is frustrating to some of us loyal customers who's been loyal to the brand and treat the SA with respect and yet the majority aren't getting any offers of a quota even with a 5:1 ratio. It's kind of embarrassing when you have friends and family members visiting and seeing your closet full of orange boxes and ask if you have a birkin or Kelly bag and you have neither to show for. Then they start saying things like, "You shop all that, and they don't even offer you a birkin/kelly?!?!" Then, they start calling you crazy and it also discourages them from even wanting to shop at Hermes.
As they say jewelry really helps. You are super lucky that your spend was just 2:1. Typically this bag requires much more spend at competitive boutiques. Congrats!
Thanks for posting this! I think if you enjoy the bags and the items you buy then why not enjoy the journey? At the end of the day it's for fun, beauty and luxury (and if you ever want to sell any of the other items I'm sure you can - the value of the quota bags increase so you'd make up for any loses)! lol all my purchases are with one SA and I’m pretty sure it only counts if it’s with one SA at least at my store . I’ve not done any online purchases I always send to my SA first .
