A problem I have with implementation of shields in this game is that everyone (aside from Steven) just reuses their parry animations. I'm hoping that in the future the devs will give each character separate parry and shielding animations to make it easier to tell if you hit their shield get parried.
Alongside these shields, I really like how everyone has quick "Get Up" animations, too.
