This level scared the hell out of me when I was a kid. Especially when he'd pop up off screen forcing me to panic because I couldn't see where was coming from.
Shit I had the same experience like I had a batarang in my hand the entire mission cause I was so scared for once a crocodile became scarier than a shark in my opinion

This level always gave me trouble mainly because I often panicked when Croc appeared. Guy scares me shitless sometimes.

Going into Killer Croc’s lair always used to creep me out by how quiet it was at first, and then out of nowhere he would pop out of the water and start chasing you. Playing this back then was scary man! And still kinda is to this day!
Screw the Scarecrow missions, Killer Crocs lair was the scariest part of Arkham Asylum! Scared the crap out of me back in 2009!

Scarecrow missions were never scary, at least i did not find them to be scary and i sort of anticipated how Killer Croc would try to ambush and attack me in the sewer network, thanks to watching all those documentaries about crocodilians, this mission was easy

At least you could hide from Scarecrow.
There's no way Batman's going through that cavern without alerting Croc. Probably, the most frightening part of this game.

I've always loved the part where you get out of the Batcave out onto the islands. The music is very soothing, and the skyline is honestly very pretty. Like after all that you've gone through, the game is giving you a little moment of peace to calm down.
BTW, does anyone know the name of the soundtrack at that part?
I don't know if you have found it now but just incase you haven't it is 'Eternal Glide' I also really love that scene as well, one of the best moments of the entire franchise, it feels like a perfect way to reflect on the past events and get ready for the climax of the game.

Yeah, not a bad look for his first live action appearance, but to tell you the truth, he was pretty scrawny-looking. They should've used CGI to make him bigger, taller and more bulkier and muscular.

I’ve just played through Asylum for the first time, and holy shit this level was the scariest in the game by far for me. The fact that you don’t know where he is or where he’ll come from because of the water coupled with the amazing music made this a terrifying experience. The high strings after each of his attacks were straight out of Psycho, and it was almost like the game was saying ‘you avoided him this time… but he’ll be back…’ All this with Croc’s horrifying design make a level that is worse than any horror game. I also love the added touch of him trying to grab you from the water whenever you use your line launcher. A true masterpiece

This, excavator and cloudburst battle are the most frightening missions i've ever played.
The funny thing is that with the new line launcher you could have gotten out of Crocs lair without touching the platforms

Sadly, Rocksteady didn't make Origins so they can't make said remaster. It's up to WB now.
I know it was made by WB Games Montreal but I think if Rocksteady did the remaster they could improve it.

This part is my favourite part of the game for it involves my favourite character. Killer croc. He is actually one of the only villains in the batman arkham series to be in all of the games along with joker and the riddler.
I spent a whole 5 hours and my controller was so wet because of my hands and my heart beats fast as the Flash...
And just when you thought Sharks could make you stay out of the water

Playing this back in 09/10 was so intense and this play through brings that right back
When I played through asylum for the first time I played pretty much the whole way non-stop until this part it took me 12 days to rack up the nerve to do it and even then I had the volume off and used the vibration of my controller and the waves to find where croc was 5 years later I still get scared of this level just not to the extent of when I first played it

Still not sure I like Killer Croc's remastered appearance (just looks like a copy and paste of Arkham City Croc), but his lair looks cool, that's for sure. Scarecrow's remastered stuff is creepier than ever. I still wish the lighting was down for the remaster, but it's nice that Arkham Asylum, one of the defining games of millennial gaming, got a re-release along with its sequel.
This is the mission in the whole series that scares me the most and it still scares me to this day

I like how they make him an ambush predator instead of an idiot linebreaker that just charges headfirst into anything.
The beginning of the video reminds me of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets when Harry goes and fights the Basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets.
When I was in eighth grade, I had nightmares about this part SO MANY TIMES because of how obsessed I was with the Arkham games back then. I can recall this one very well: for some reason, I was at a Justin Bieber concert (this is back when everyone in the world thought he was the bomb, and I loathed him, something fierce, which I still do), and I went backstage, where it immediately transitioned to being in Croc’s lair. I reached the entrance/exit and he immediately killed me. Haunted me ever since.
I found the Scarecrow missions to be pretty nerve racking
God, I had a really hard time completing this level. Mostly because I freaked out when Croc came out of freaking nowhere.

Do you wanna know the funny part about this? Did you manage to get out of bounds, you'll see that there's actually not that much space between the top of the platforms in the bottom of the sewer. When crock pops out of the water, he's literally just teleported to that spot because there's no room for him underwater.

As scary as Scarecrow was, Killer Croc section was the one that has always kept me on edge every time I play this game. I remember getting nightmares on this after clearing this the first time. That's how impactful this part of the game had on me.

When I played this section of the game for the first time on the Xbox 360 the first time killer croc jumped out it scared me so bad my heart hurt for like 5 minutes straight.
this mission makes you stressed the HELL out!
