The worst part of what happened with Magnus is that Magnus actually tried to stop the HH in its tracks at least twice. First, Magnus tried to reach Horus while he (Horus) was being overcome by Chaos. Then Magnus tried to warn the Emperor about Horus, but destroyed the Terran warp gate in the process. Then the third problem occurred; Leman Russ was tasked with bringing Magnus back to Terra to answer for breaking the Edict, but Russ decided to destroy the entire collected knowledge on the Thousand Sons planet of Prospero instead of just taking Magnus. Thus, the Thousand Sons legion was destroyed for no other reason than they were protecting their homeworld and their heritage. Basically, Leman Russ exceeded his orders. Like an Army General who is ordered to take the enemy commander into custody, but then orders his troops to destroy all enemy museums, universities, and libraries.
council of nikaea sounds alot like a real historical council called to figure out the diffrent type of christany, this makes the emperor sound like a history nerd who likes to make inside joke only he would get
That is the tragically beautiful irony of 40K. The emperor told everybody not to worship him and the second he can't stop them, everyone starts worshipping him. Made even more ironic by the fact that all that worship gives him more psychic power in the warp.
Question: I've had the dark imperium set since it came out and I am only just starting to play the death guard (as I went for the space marine as my main army "FOR THE EMPEROR!"). Any suggestions on what I could get to boost it and make it a full army?
Cool video. Too bad that the verdict of the Council of Nikaea was to forbid the wizardry and stuff. With proper screening, training they[Imperium] would benefit greatly, who knows maybe Horus Heresy would not happen, or be lesser because the Imperium would foresee the oncoming d000000m :D Keep the awesome work flowing!
Question: are there actual physical measurements of the size of the emporer? Or is it all some type of glamour? It's hard to believe a literal giant of a man would go unnoticed throughout history.
Imagine you have a son who's gifted at coding and has a lot of potential to make it a successful career, but then you learn there's porn on the internet so you bash your son's computer in with a sledgehammer. He's understandably pissed but he still tries to warn you that his brother went absolutely apeshit and wants to burn down the house, but your PHONE fucking explodes because you made it yourself out of coathangers and an old CB radio and it's somehow HIS fault. Makes perfect sense to the emperor of mankind!
I can deal with the Imperium and the Ecclesiarchy in particular being based on the superpower that the medieval Roman Catholic Church was; the Council of Nicaea was an important part of the formation of the Orthodox Churches. This is something I take offense at, and will be making sure GW knows it. I do however thank you for your insightful expose on the lore regarding Psykers & Psyker Astartes/Librarians.
I most liked the Emperor and the spacewolfs, but now i hate the both of them and would like to see them lose the war if not . i would like to see the spaceWolfs and Leman Russ and his whole space wovles be kill with full hated and death form some one better or even form the thousand sons. with the Thousand sons winning the battle but with them living or falling . Magnus tried to save what talents he and his people was only gifted in and some one else who just one mind didnt like it and wanted him to lose what he only had .
Question: most videos of lore i've watched always make reference to the emperor as the most powerful human psycher. Who or what is the definitively most powerful psycher out of all races and entities within 40k?
Actually, that is how you would pronounce Nicea, the location of the council that formed the Bible and the Catholic church as we know it today. This is the name of a planet 28,000 years or so in the future, so Nikaea (Nye-kay-ah, Nih-kay-ah, or Nee-kay-ah) would be more appropriate.

Kenneth Cook Horus twisted the Emperors order from bring him to Terra to kill him so it was Horus how's at fault for Prospero not Leman Russ.
What would expect from brutes?
Yea Leman Russ is not the brightest spark in the Imperium

Ediberto Gonzalez If I was as old as the Emperor I'd do that.
Since Big is already lived more than 6000 years when the historic council took place...maybe he was even attending back then
Am I the only one whom thinks it is ironic that the great crusade is done to stop religion in the universe?

But does it give the emperor more power or is it the god emperor that gains the power, they might not be the same entity after all.
I misread this as IKEA and thought damm those Swedes are hardcore.
The Black Baron "They're Norwegians Mac." lmao
Magnus warned him. Eldar warned him. Corpse god was an idiot.
Suggestion: 412th cadian/General Sturnn
Another reason the emperor wasn't as smart as he claimed he was....
To be honest, the more I read of the Horus Heresy the more I think the emperor is retarded.
Or maybe he is a deamon, they like to watch the world burn I hear.
Fun fact magnus was the chosen heir of the golden throne.

Attention! My fan lore on the Iron Hydra and the final battle between them and the Maledictum Hunters is now available on my channel. Please enjoy.
I really love the Hotdogs at Nikaea :D

This is one of the BIGGEST mistakes in this Era
was creating Lorgar... and Fulgrim...
EMPEROR: YOU DON'T KNOW THE POWA OF THE WARP. MAGNUS: I FIND YOUR LACK OF FAITH IN THE LIBRARIUS DISTURBING.
Magnus: I find the lack of information disturbing so I will have to figure out what gibs myself. just like you created me to do daddy.
Suggestion: tyranids

Suggestion: 40 facts on the worst night lord atrocities.

Didn't the Raven Guard have a Librarius? Corax wasn't one of the 3 main advocates for Librarians but I don't recall ever reading that he opposed it.
I read on some wiki page that he primarily advocated against Magnus, rather than against psykers as a whole.
Let's get some more iron hands lore.

Half of EVERYTHING wrong with the Imperium now, is Magnus's fault. :D

Could you tell me the name of the song playing in the background?
#Magnusdidnothingwrong He was only trying to fix his fathers fuckup.
You should really make 40 facts on others like Star Wars or halo, etc

K doesn't make a cee/sea sound. If it is spelled Nikaea it's Nigh-kay-eh or Nigh-kae-ah
Imagine making a video of reading straight from Wikipedia
